  1. Virgin music-on-demand have it as a featured vid- so at least someone's got taste. It's also in the "most played" list (last time I looked) Drop in the ocean though

I really don't get it- and I'm sorry, but I think the journo who called this second album a fiasco had a point- these chartings are ridiculous compared to the first album.

I only half agree about the promotion- if people wanted to see or hear it, the "younger" radio and the music channels would play it. Radio 2 listeners probably don't buy singles often- I never do, except to support an artist or a charity. I have absolutely no idea why he's not singng it at gigs

I agree that the whole thing is suspect.

The single should actually have been titled Half-Assed. That would sum it up (not the quality of the record, but everything else surrounding it).

  2. Well, be they druggies or not :teehee:, I am anxious to see the video for It's Working. It should be available soon.

Nothing can beat the FD video though :naughty:.

  3. Like I've said before though, it's not simply a woeful lack of promotion and airplay that's contributed to this situation. It's also the ridiculous timing of the whole thing.

There was a real buzz about the single on the internet...about five or six weeks ago :dunno: That's when there should have been a push to promote it, that's when the EP should have been released. It's way way too late now, the buzz has gone, the moment has passed. :boxed:

I know singles are not considered as important as touring and album sales these days and I for one accept that and realise that it's the way the industry is heading, but I still can't help but feel really let down by the way KA's potential as a big chart single has been mishandled.

  4. The song is on the B-list of radio 2, but still not on Radio One's lists

I fear the worst, Marilyn..that Mika has gone the same way as Status Quo and Cliff Richard, and that Radio 1, in its infinite wisdom and 'hipness', has deemed Mika not worthy of their precious airplay time. Ever again. Or until such time as Mika releases a duet with either Florence And The Machine or Cheryl Cole, when his vocals may grudgingly be allowed airspace provided a warning is given beforehand so that haters can switch off.

Ok, so I am exaggerating a little, but I think if Kick-Ass was going to be on R1's playlists, it would be there by now.

  5. I think other reviews are trying to over analyze this album, and not to listen to it as a whole..most of then are also more in favor of popular music rather then original and interesting music, which is a big shame.

Yes I agree that there has been a lot of pretentious over-analysis of the album. And those pointless lazy reviews that just say 'it sounds like recycled 70s stuff' are completely missing the point! Not to mention three, maybe four, other decades-worth of influence. :sneaky2:

Personally I think the album gets better with every listen, and I've listened to pretty much nothing else for six weeks now so I ought to be getting sick of it by now, but nothing could be further from the truth actually. :biggrin2:

I've bought tickets to see them in October.:biggrin2: I looove the new album, especially Siberian Breaks.

Siberian Breaks is my current favourite too. I wasn't convinced by it at first but I've completely fallen in love with it.:wub2:

  6. Here is a bad review :boxed:

MGMT's newer tunes, all of which sounded like wannabe Nuggets or Paisley Underground outtakes

    #MGMTFAIL

    That isn't funny :aah:

You'd better go on stage :naughty:

    Oh dear :teehee:

The album (and their 'new' sound, which isn't that new) is even more Marmite than Mika. I've seen lots of bad reviews too.

I need to start googling the lyrical references.:naughty:.

At the moment I'm really obsessed with the lyrics of Brian Eno, it's such a funny song and I think a lot of critics don't appreciate their sense of humour at all!

    T4P vanessa.

  7. Oh no he didn't even get the lyrics right :roftl:

And they didn't sing Kids at Coachella :teehee:

    Oh noooooooooooo!!! :roftl:

Did they get booed off the stage? :teehee:

If they don't play Kids when I go to see them in September, I shall ask for a refund :mf_rosetinted::mf_rosetinted:

  8. Good afternoon Bendrew fans!

No reason for posting this other than a) it's v. recent (coachella) and b) it's cute.:teehee:

Hey for those of you who bought pre-sale for any upcoming tour dates...when do we get our tickets? I got no info on that in any email etc...

    WEIRD!

I've no idea..but usually they don't arrive until quite close to the day of the gig do they. when are you going? June?

  9. I don't know her name .I only knew he is dating a model !

A while ago there was a private video with both couples :teehee:

By private, do you mean private :das:??

    :teehee:

Well, Fabiola Gatti's not really a model, she's a singer so maybe that's not her. Whatever :naughty:.

  10. I think this one is with his girlfriend

    tumblrl0saajvbyl1qa16sy.jpg

Hmm..is that Fabiola Gatti? Or someone else?

There's a girl in the Flash Delirium video who really looks like Fabiola Gatti, and I didn't know if Andrew was still dating her or not. :dunno:

I know Ben's girlfriend is in the video.
