I didn't do drama i wanted too, but the drama course our school offered was shyte with a lazy teacher

 

I HATE math. I studied it for like a hour every night and even got tutoring, but I literally find it impossible. I struggle and struggle and finally get it, and then if I don't use that same equation a few hours later, i forget it so i literally forget what I learned overnight. It is SO frustrating.

 

I failed the External English 1.5 "View/listen to, study and show understanding of visual or oral text(s) (1.5) "

We did the man without a face movie and i basically memorised my excellence essay. I can't believe I failed it

 

But I got excellences and merits for everything else internal and external all year, which ballances it out a little. Still frustrating though. And the most painfully annoying thing of the whole ordeal was that, in PE and Health (which I LOATHE but don't struggle with) I got merits and a excellence. Go figure.

 

Oh, I was gonna ask you, are you going to Parachute this year? (please say you are please say you are PLEASE say ayou are even though i have a sneaking suspicion you won't )

Oh. We had a new teacher last year and I couldn't study drama in year ten because it meant I had to do dance as well and I have no confidence in dance. But I was really fortunate in that with drama.

I wanted to do music but the music teacher refused me because of my eyes and didn't even give me a chance to sing. But as I am a good singer and I get a lot of attention at bars and pubs in the area, I make a point of telling everyone who I meet who likes my voice, how Mr Stein from Paraparaumu college is discriminating against the disabeled!

Oh dear, that does sound frustrating! But WHY are you doing it again? I only studied algebra because I wanted to get into IT this year but I know I'm dead at the subject so don't really bother with it. Doing it again only causes further frustration does it not?

Oh I failed the film study (Rabbit Proof Fence) for mocks but that was so unfair because we watched it first while I was in recovery (so not going to school) after my eye operation and then watched it in segmants when I got back to analyse it but I couldn't see it because my eyes were really bad still and I couldn't read or stare into light or see any detail without making myself nautious and giving myself a headache so of course I couldn't discuss film techniques because I COULDN'T SEE THEM!

Yeah I got excellence in PE when it was compulasry and merrits in health but less than perfect report comments because I have such firm opinions that go very against what everyone else thinks so I fought with my classmates a lot.

What subjects did you do exactly?

Last year I took math, scence, biology, english, art, drama and French.

Science, english and math were compulsary and biology was from a choice of science subjects we studied for a term and a half from the science corriculum.

No sorry, I don't do parachute though lots of people from school say I should.

I just KNOW I'll end up with people I don't like who go to my school making fun of me and feeling self concious around people from y church...

That was a good effort, I think. Agree about REGULAR PLAY.

I was sure I'd passed maths. I studied SO much because I really struggle with it. And my art board, that I poured my soul into, only got a achieved

 

Maths isn't compulsary at my school next year either, but I'm doing external regardless. I have to pass *puts on determined face*

I got my results online.. they came up about 30minutes ago! I think they come in the mail in a few days..

I studied for Algebra and that is all. I didn't study so much for it though.

I was really into art folio but then I gave up because the woman from visual resources made it less fun. She was all You won't pass if you don't do this and You're failing because of this...

But in a mean way. I didn't take any of her advice and I know for a fact that I passed.

But then again, we had 2 assignments in one night for drama (one was for a technical role backstage like directing/costumes/lights/sound etc and the other was for the acting we did onstage) and we had to do logbooks and I hadn't done any logs and my friend Emalee had done almost every week and the teacher said you could probably get by making up 2 or 3 that you hadn't done but it was complete FAIL to try making the whole thing up.

But I tried and I actually passed both assignments and Emalee got failed because her logs wern't detailed enough

Poor Emalee. She wasn't too mad at me because she saw that I'd done about 7 pages of log and she'd only dne about 2 but still.

I'm sorry you didn't pass math

I was told I should do math this year but I know I just wouldn't put any effort into it and just because I struggle less than others doesn't mean I don't STRUGGLE so I don't have any listen for those who are good at math and say I can be good because I just cannot!

I know I got at least 40 in my mocks. I have over 50 from internals and I passed NCEA maths. Well we all knew I was going to fail math and I don't have to do it anymore. At my college, it's only compalsary till year 11.

The only compulsary now is English and I do ok in that.

I think I must have passed French and Drama. Science, biology and English (sci and bio are 2 different exams) are a probable pass and math is a definate FAIL.

But when did you get your results?

Ive never found the need to strighten my hair! curl maybe but not straigten!

im afraid if I straighten my hair it will be so long I may just trip over it! (my hair is around weist height now...and Its a little wavy!)

I had to go to orthotics to look at my shoes again, I have this inversion problem with my feel so basically I walk on the outside of my heal...always have!

but he took one look at my shoes scraches his head and goes "ive never seen anything like it!" (about the wearing on my shoes in just 5 months)

Im getting new shoes, and a new set of insoles and again I hope for the best!

everything so far has failed and it is so bad, if i wear jandels I walk like an old lady! (the opposite limp to my grandma...we look quite a pair!)

 

I think I may have cracked it though! my worst foot is the one that broke into the growthplate when I was 12 as a result of bullying!

But the bright side is...the new shoes im getting are WHITE! so far ive only been given man colours like black or gray cos of the size, but YAY! I get WHITE!!

Yeah having long hair is something I DO NOT miss. I never even brush my hair anymore. My mother is obsessed with me brushing it. She always wants me to brush my hair blablabla.

I never really go outt much with her because she says she's going out, I ask if I can come and she says only if I brush my hair so I say I changed my mind.

It's her loss though. I'm real popular with her friends and the people at the bars she goes to because I sing and I'm superintelegent for someone "Of my age" (jeez I hate that!)

My mother took me shoe shopping when I was 12 and she bought me pink and black lace up shoes and I wanted the pink and white ones (I hate lace ups - Anything FLAT isn't my style - but I was trying to fit in as best as I could to my new school. Turns out it just caused more trouble) but she said they were too "Pink" so I had to get the black ones. I still hate them but seeing as I haven't grown much since I was 11, I'm still wearing my 11 y/o clothes and anything after. Which is fine because my style was always the same. When I was 10 I wore mini skirts and cropped tops to primary, I never brushed my hair and it was always greasy and I kept a brown leather handbag that my Nana bought me from the warehouse.

Completed the outfit with a copy of several months ago's disneygirl under my arm. Nowdays it's a copy of LICM or a writing book, I have several nicer handbags and I wear dresses and my granddad's clothes and I wash my hair but that's about all that's changed

Do you still get crap for it? People sound especially mean where you live. I'd like to go there and punch a lot iof them but sadly, I've lsot all my Islander strength as I've gone all soft!

Cuz i had that a while ago and i used this thing called "Cocoscalp" and it cleared it right up! I just got it from a pharmacy without perscription, but it was about two years ago so im not sure if it will still be there, but it probably is.

No, I figured out it was in the higher bit of my skull. It's no rash, just lumps under the skin that feel a bit like enlarged bone or like I've banged my head and have several eggs under my skin. It only hurts in a certain part and it's quite uncomfortable to touch now.

I think my mother said it was my crown?

Oh see, they can't do that to me really. I convulse out of fear of people who work in medical. That's why I didn't see a doctor about this head thing. I have an obsessive hatred for doctors, nurses, anyone who works in the area of med or therapy (I especially hate therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and etc).

Rebel Prince is the first song I wrote into my "Inspirations" book full of lots of writing from around the place that I like muchly.

I was writing this novel called Ruby Schnapps and Vaudeville Mishap and it's of 3 parts, 1st night at the club, schoolday and 2nd night at the club.

In the schoolday, I wanted to have a character who was a little bit like Rufus and I named him Prince (after Rebel Prince) but then I decided he'd be her best friend but be the evil twin of 2 because I was sick of it always being about the "Good" twin.

So Prince became the last name of Silas and his good twin Sylvan. I got both those names from Sylvan Lanken (Rufus's cousin from the Mitten Strings) and Silas is a variation of Sylvan meaning the same thing but I thought Sylvan sounded nice and Silas sounded cool but a little bit evil

I love poses, Cigerettes and chocolate milk, Greek Song, Tower of Learning, Across the Universe California is so true! And I love In a Graveyard!

But I don't so much like the Cigerettes... remix (sorry Greg!)

I also wanted that album because it's special as it's the only songs I liked when I first started to like Rufus. I saw Going to a Tow in tv and somehow, seeing the video something clicked and I just GOT it and decided I DID like him so when I looked up songs of his, I still didn't like anything besides Poses, Grey Gardens and fell in love with Rebel Prince!

Also I felt like it'd look the best signed if I did get something signed

I can honestly say I do not remember EVER being at a concert that DID NOT have merchandise . . . and that stems from Styx - to New kids on the block - to The Phantom of the Opera! Most have TONS of merch . . . but, NO - not Rufus! He has to be different from the pack in everyway! BUT, just because he did not have ANY merch on his little tour of Florida . . . does not necessarily mean that he NEVER does!? I really can't answer that . . .cause Florida is the only place I have seen him. But, generally speaking - either an artist has it or just dosen't and quite frankly I think Rufus just does not have time for merch at his shows! The SHOW is all you need . . .to stay happy for a VERY long time to come! And of course he always leaves you wanting MORE MORE MORE

OMG GUESS WHAT!

My mother's boyfriend said to her on sunday "Come visit me" so she booked a flight and meant to book for tuesday morning to fly there and friday to drive back but accidentally booked for monday which was the very next day. Granddad was VERY unamused as he had to go to hospital on Tuesday so I would be all by myself for Tuesday night (I'm not the sort to be good with being left my myself) so I used the oppertunity to take advantage of my mother's guilt.

She was all "I'm SO sorry! I didn't realise that TODAY was the 10th!"

So I asked her "Please look in the music shops for "Poses" by Rufus Wainwright"

Well she MUST have been feeling guilty for leaving me because she actually BOUGHT it for me!

First she ordered it, but then she found it in another shop so bought it there and texted me saying "Hes pretty cute 4 sum1 hu sings like crap"

Yeah straighteners are in. Everyone's straightening and dying their hair black or dark red.

I have very dark brown hair that looks black. People tell me I'm colour blind or need my eyes checked (JERKS!) because "Your hair is BLACK" but IT IS DARK BROWN!

It gets redish streaks in the sun. I want to dye my hair black. That was nobody will have the confusion anymore and I don't want to go lighter because my skin looks niceer the more pale it appears.

But even people with STRAIGHT hair straighten it!

The "In" look is dead straight. I have voluminous straight hair with a slight wave but even that is "Not cool"

Baah I got told I needed to peirce my belly button in year 9. Didn't do that and I ain't straightening my hair!

I have an uneven haircut (I did that kind of on purpose when I cut my own hair) and so I look a bit weird with it dead flat. Like Rihanna gone a bit wonky

No, I tried hairspray this morning and it usually makes me itch and I've got the usual sores in my scalp now as per normal but I've used that spray before and this has never happened before.

I am amused that only someone on MFC would ask about rollers or curling things where most people would ask about straigheners as those are "IN" right now

my friends have done the cone thing...I have no idea how but one of them managed to get the cone over the point of the church...someone had to get a cherrypicker to get it down!

Why is it when I itch the back of my head (I had stuff in it this morning) it hurts and it makes other parts of my head hurt during the time that I itch?

Did my skull not develop properly or is something wrong? I have a large lump close to my ear but further towards the back that feels like it's really bruised and It makes me feel a discomforted feeling when I wash that particular place with shampoo...

My mother and her boyfriend, Vaughan, used to get drunk with a couple from down our street and they used to do really bad impressions of jackass.

They were all between the ages of 30-45 and drunken middle-agers were really funny to watch.

We lived near an arts' centre and one of them managed to steal this stone carving artpeace from there one day which became the SKAB award which went to the person who got hurt the most.

They used my scooter and (we lived near a hill with train tracks) were allowed ONE PUSH off from the ground but that was it.

My mother didn't even get as far as pushing off from the ground, she just flopped over sideways.

Tim grased his knee so he and his partner Jaquie got the SKAB award until the next saturday, when someone found a shopping trolly on the railway line and took it back to their house.

So it was girls VS. boys and Jaquie stearing (her feet on the wheels) and my mother inside the trolly. They hit the curb and went flying into someone's garden

Tim and Vaughan did similar but then Vaughan thought it would be funny if he went down the hill in the trolly without anyone to steer, BACKWARDS.

So of course he went off track, hit the curb, went flying onto the concrete and dislocated his elbow.

HE won the SKAB award.

They also had this thing going with some of those big orange street cones. They took those from the arts centre too (HOW did they not get caught???) and the games was to get the cone in the stupidest place.

It started out on our garage roof, then it ended up half way through theyr window, then it was on the very point at the top of our roof (how'd they do that?) and then they put cones in front of every parking space so that we had to knock them all over just to get into one parking spot

OMG . . .to be completely HONEST - I do not remember there being ANY merchandise at ANY of the shows!!! I mean really . . .hhhmmm I would say - just get it from the website. FOCUS on Rufus at the show!

I think she means reccomending videos! my friends do it all the time! it can get annoying thought! promotion is key, subscribers will automatically see when you make a new video...and when you favorite one, and subscribers will usually have friends who will find you through them!

 

I usually have trouble sleeping, I have restless leg sindrome which is kinda annoying! it means I have to move my legs, if Im wearing long pjs my leggs feel ichy or as if somethings crawling on them! and I have to rub my feet together to get me to sleep! its so weird cos sometimes Ill wake up and my feet will be almost like im running...and im like WTF?

I don't have reocuring dreams as such but recently I've started getting the shakes and seeing shadows moving around my room and very quickly falling into a state of slight terror. I sleep with the radio on and now I wake up in the morning more exausted than when I went to sleep

I think youtube videos could work, we could send them to random accounts like the annoying ones i get. I watch them atleast. and im pretty up for doing weird things, as long as its not by myself...then i go back into my shell.

 

Ive changed to morefm too, I enjoyed the talk on Zm more, but the music on morefm is much better!

I donlt like the idea of sending vids to random accounts. I think it countsas spamming?

poor dog!! there are kids in my fathers street who piss my dog off...and boff doesnt like my ex bf stingray all that much since the first time they met stingray growled at him and boff now sees stingray as somewhat a threat! haha I remember dancing with stingray on my 21st birthday and the dog was bailing him up!

I have a friend with a video camera and who knows how to use something called Audacity.

I have another friend who writes, sings and plays the guitar (she's fatbottomgirlnz on MFC) and she's coming back to P'ram in Feb apparently. I might see if I can pull something together. Songwriters, singers, a camera, a guy who loves designing clothes and Mika and another guy who mightn't be opposed to a bit of photography or acting.

I will see what I can do for this colab.

I was kidding. I was actually thinking we do some kind of youtube video that gets a lot of hits that's to do with Mika (but no singing stuff, it has to be original) but we'd end up being despised by a lot of people if it works.

I wasn't thinking any kind of nudity but we know Mika likes burlesque.

I was thinking if I pulled in a few friends, we could do a kind of skit show on a youtube profile (like the one you were thinking of Rosina) but take off clothes to reveal really Mikalicious clothes underneith or strip off lots of clothes so we're still in clothes but certain bodyparts are painted to say "Mika come to NZ" etc.

Don't bother with ZM, I've actually switched stations to More FM because they're more likely to play Mika.

I asked every dj on ZM to play WAG for me as a treat seeing as I'd just had surgery (this was when it just came out) but NOBODY played it for me though everyone accept for Mark Dye said they WOULD.

I asked the guy who played it on the new music selector that ONE NGHT what the consensus was after he played it and he said some people were really loving it and others really hated it.

Well I really LOVED it. What about US???

They play some sh!t on there and even stuff that people don't like, they play several times in case people begin to like them. But not WAG!

So the lady said she was going to leave. Those skateboarders almost caused a road accident after that but I didn't really care so much. POOR DOG! How would THEY feel if they had their tails ran over by idiots on skateboards?

What was worse was that they were all over the roads and sidewalks while there was a perfectly good skatepark about 5 minutes walk away!
