  1. Nope, I can't see yours, Wendi. Easy way to count 'em: CTRL-A, CTRL-C, paste into Word. Word will number the comments so you can see how many there are. --Jack
  2. You're always so reasonable. Can't I indulge in some sturm und drang? --Jack
  3. Yeah, no, I was wrong--I thought it got approved 'cause it showed up on my screen between two other comments, but apparently he just approved the comments right after and right before, but not mine. Man I am special! --Jack
  4. The one about the aspirin and chair and following advice. It was a cute quote! --Jack
  5. Btw, you're right--apparently even though my comment shows up on my screen "nested" between two others, it's not actually there. Whatever. --Jack
  6. Yeah, in the last one... on mine it shows up in between Bianca's and Corolyn's. Towards the bottom. --Jack
  7. I followed it up by a quote from Twatty to prove her wit and that was also not approved. Oh well, now that he's approving the other silly comments, maybe I should just assume he didn't want the word "twat" on his blog. --Jack
  8. True. Well I can just say I was just trying to figure out the moderation guidelines! --Jack
  9. Hahah. Well apparently he approved my really stupid second one... I hope he'll also approve the first. --Jack
  10. If anyone's curious about the content of the Twatty-and-Australia comment, I explained it here. --Jack
  11. Yeah, that makes the most sense. Smart Kelzy! Anyway, if he really wants to delete one of my comments, I did submit two now... he's more than welcome not to approve the second one. I would not approve it if I were him, anyway... so I'd totally understand that. --Jack
  12. And yet the funny thing is, neither of the comments he apparently deleted were meant that way at all. I genuinely thought it would be cool to have a guest blog from a fan perspective, and I recommended SuperTwat in all sincerity, because I do think she is witty, a good writer, and might have time to do it. I mentioned that she's from Australia because I honestly thought it would be fun to get a fan perspective from a Mika-neglected country specifically. None of it was taking the piss. And the comment I am complaining about in this thread? I do think the bags are neat! (How is saying that something is neat a problem?) And I am curious as to whether they're real or photoshopped! I really don't get what's objectionable about it in the least. --Jack
  13. Yup, Jack Violet. Same as my forum name. --Jack
  14. Which comments? :-) I submitted two, please feel free to tell me when you can see either... --Jack
  15. Oh. Hmmm. Maybe. I just went and made another comment as an experiment. This one is far more naughty. Although I think I maybe shoulda used another name... --Jack
  16. Yup, that's what I thought. Seriously, what, was Mika so offended by me simply mentioning that SuperTwat was witty and the mere fact of Australia's existence that he is just not gonna approve any of my comments now? Man, I can definitely see why a comment like "Huh. That is neat. Are these real or photoshops?" should not be approved! That is totally controversial and offensive right there. (I posted 30 mins before the first comment that does show up, btw.) --Jack
  17. I'm curious: can you guys read my comment on the latest blog, or does it not show up? --Jack
  18. Thanks. Well, it took me a few re-reads. Honestly I don't think this is true. Christine, for instance, is all about criticizing Mika--you should really see the way she goes off on him sometimes! And some other people who were confused by your post... I've seen them level criticisms at Mika lots of times. And simply saying that he shouldn't mind too much about the demos because the internet and fame are double-edged swords isn't really that harsh of a criticism... kind of more of an observation really. Haha, well, that type of criticism does get people on the defensive here. But we've had plenty of our own threads where people were getting pretty critical of Mika! Including the responses to his blog yesterday, where everyone was saying that they didn't like where he was going with the guest bloggers. And when Luke was fired, there were quite a few people calling Mika a jerk. --Jack
  19. 'Cause he deleted the comments I made on his blog mentioning those things. --Jack
  20. What video? I did enjoy Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, if that's what you're referring to. It's not quiiite my cup of tea but a good friend really loved it. By the way about Fables--even though I'm pretty excited about it, I'd like to encourage people to buy it used rather than new. The author is kind of a huge jerk to his fans, so I personally am torn on how much I'd want to support him. Plus buying it used is cheaper. --Jack
  21. Oh yeah, I know that one. :-) BlakQueen and Freddie (and LadyGodiva?)--you can actually download the first issue of Fables free on the Vertigo site: http://www.dccomics.com/graphic_novels/?gn=1606 --Jack
  22. Nah, it's just a book series with pictures where the words happen to be placed in little balloons. What'll they think of next, eh? (Yeah it's a comic. ) --Jack
  23. I will now post Fables pics. Because... I wanna. --Jack
  24. I agree that old comics are really special, but there are some really amazing ones being done in recent years. They're not kitschy-cute, but they are wonderful reads. Like Neil Gaiman's legendary Sandman series. Or Alan Moore's Watchmen. Or his V for Vendetta--I'm sure you've seen (or heard of) the film. My current interest, as I said in the comments is Fables, by Bill Willingham. I picked up the first volume only recently and loved it! It's about fairy-tale characters living in modern-day New York, and it's kind of thriller-ish in tone, dealing with crime-solving. In the comic, Snow White has divorced Prince Charming after he cheated on her with her sister Rose Red, and is now a high-ranking officer the fairy-tale government. The Big Bad Wolf is the lead detective, basically, and many other characters show up. It won 14 Eisner awards, and IGN called it "the best comic book currently being produced!" I'm just a wee bit happy to recommend it. --Jack
  25. You're right. He just hates me. Or SuperTwat. Both of us! --Jack
