  1. Oh wow, those sailor hats are indeed v. cool! :thumb_yello:

Thank you for your reports etc.

The warm-up was cool' date=' Martin came by the side of the stage to see how (and why) are we so getting funky with the InCulto. :biggrin2: I think he liked it. [/quote']

So InCulto was opening for Mika? I really like them! I guess they created a great atmosphere which made it easier for Mika to go on stage afterwards...

And it is amazing how he always memorises some sentences in ANY language we can think of. It really helps interacting with the audience!

"Fans had a chance not only to hear good Lithuanian language' date=' but also to see a perfectly trained body of the singer. While changing his T-shirt, he demonstrated such prominent muscles that it became evident that his constant jumping and singing at the same time is a result of long work-outs and great physical shape."

    [/quote']

  2. Hi All,

I borrowed tiibet`s computer as I feel I should definitely post something about the gig last night:wub2:

To me, the concert felt really special and kind of heart warming - just like the last 2 gigs (Vienna and Novi Sad) I recently attended. You really could feel that for most of the audience it was a dream come true: Mika in Finland - a moment they had been waiting for for a long time. It was well worth the wait in every sense (:teehee:). Mika loved the audience that was made up of mainly happy and excited teenage girls who tried to grab everything that belonged to their idol - whether that be the Dr John coat or the huge Toy Boy doll ...And Mika actually enjoyed every minute of it: he kept touching their hands, shaking his head so that his sweat would drop on them (:das:) and kneeling down in front of them so that he could be touched :naughty: .

The audiece was sweet and very enthusiastic, no rude pushing at all, just the general excitement that comes with seeing your hero for the first time in your life. :fangurl:

Actually, I am not sure if this was the most suitable venue for this audience, since some of them were so small that the further they were from the stage the more they could see (there was no gap between stage and the audience at all, so when one girl fainted, for example, she needed to be carried out from the stage, by a crew member).

I have to go now but if I remember anything else, I will come back on it later.

    awww! lovely report!

    no gap sounds great, too!

anybody could tell me what exactly Mika said in Finnish? :wub2:

  3. haha, 'i'm not fangirling' :teehee:

they're so amazing, and i'm just really very happy me and jose are not alone in the thread anymore :naughty:

did you talk to him? did you say you went to his munich gig?

    c'mon, I'm totally not. :mf_rosetinted:

yes, I talked to him a bit. And he said he remembered when I gave him the pic from Munich to sign. :wink2:

Hoping now to learn very soon about some possible gig dates (maybe in France given that I'll move there in September?! :biggrin2:)

  4. Great picture

    Tell me moreeee!

Well, I only got there at around 19:30 since I had an exam at uni until 6pm and then rushed straight to the station to catch my train to Karlsruhe.

Hasibobberle picked me up there and we were at the venue in no time. Pretty cool atmosphere. Looked more like a beach bar or s.th.

When we arrived Leator was already there and a few others - but not to many... (given that I was already scared if we could still get a good spot lol). Got adrink and waited in the evening sun until they let us enter the tent.

And - yay - we made it to the front :biggrin2: and waited for Hamel & band to take the stage...

    That's us!

    P1070744.jpg

At about 20:30 the show started and the show was absolutlely fantastic! :wub2: (--> I'm not fangurling :fangurl:, but it was really really really outstanding!!!)

I think Wouter is some kind of musical genious...It's hard to describe, but his songs just got s.th. which is hard to describe. And live they are even better! Actually a lot better than the recorded versions!

    Here's the setlist: P1070742.jpg

The atmosphere was great! People were dancing and clapping and singing along and always giving them all the applause their deserved.

I preferd this show to his Munich show I went to see. People were reacting a lot more enthousiastic yesterday.

And, oh my, the band is just excellent. Such talented musicians - incredible!

Leator, Hasibobberle and me took turns recording the whole show - they will all be up on this channel (in HD) http://www.youtube.com/user/Tschedai (leators channel) Brings back memories of last night watching them :wub2: The frst songs are already up.

Moreover, I also recorded a few bits (not the same quality as the other vids, though).

Here's We have today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsBCqStS-dQ (still processing)

    part of Farewell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VngprRAZmSc

Oh, and during Filthy McNasty Wouter came down the stage and made Hasi shout out "Filthy McBNasty" :)

After See you once again they came back for an encore (Filthy McNasty - and they did a second encore Farewell - which I hadn't heard live yet!)

After the gig everyone left the tent and we asked one of the zeltival people where to wait for Wouter. You could get his international "Nobody's tune" cd version there. And so many people wanted to buy one that new ones had to be gotton!

When Wouter & his band members suddenly showed up, so many people wnted to have their cds etc signed - he clearly made an impression that night. :wub2: We stayed back for a while until most people were done and I had my cd and pic from Munich signed. We asked him if it was possible to take a picture in the very end and he agreed so we stayed back and waited for a while. It was lovely to see him interact with his fans. At one point there was a boy (maybe 10 years!) who came to see him and told him s.th. in English (learnt by heart), like two sentences about how he thinks Wouter is extraordinary. he then suddenly urned around and walked away. Such a cute moment :wub2:

So the "big pic moment" was there. Leator, Hasi, me and another huge fan (who came all the way from Munich) got our pic with Wouter - and it turned out a trillion times better than the one I got in Munich (I looked horrible in that one) - but I LOVE the new one. :wub2:

    quadrat.jpg

Oh, and I still can't get over how young he's looking. Well, I decided to "blame" it on his good genes. ha! :)

Kinda sad I couldn't make it to Stuttgart today...But I will go and see him again - the earlier, the better!

  5. Did anyone needs a ticket for the Concert in Karlsruhe (Germany) on 16.07.2010. I decited to stay at home, because the train tickets are to expensive. Damn, I was to late to book the train .

I´m very sad about this .

Did you check if there's a "Mitfahrgelegenheit" or s.th.? That's a pretty easy and not so expensive way of getting from one place to another?

  6. @Lonnie: Oh yes, he's really big in Russia, isn't he?

I've been a big fan for the first couple of months after he had won eurovision, but then I somehow lost interest...Still listening to his album from time to time but very seldom.

But I love what the press mad out of him and Lena getting along well :roftl:Especially in Germany they wrote about their assumed relationship all the time...

  7. :sneaky2: I would like to go to his gig in Karlsruhe in July, but I have to work on this day. Now I will see if one of my colleagues can work for me.

Well, after all it looks like we will eb able to make it...Just to be sure I already bought my ticket - makes the decision easier :wink2:

That's really cool that this gig got added to his shows. Wouldn't have expected to see him again so soon.

Oh, and I'm always up for that MFC Mika-Wouter double fans attending a gig together. Would be so amazing!

  8. h

I'm going to his gig next week, can't wait. :fangurl: When i see Mika once or twice a year, it's enough but Wouter.. i could go to his gig everyday if possible:teehee:

Yes!!! Make sure to tell us how it went afterwards :wink2:

Might go and see him again in July :aah:

    Thank you so much :biggrin2:

if new german interviews pop up, I'll let you know :fisch::naughty:

I could help you out from time to time, too.

Though these days I'm not online that much - so it's great to see so many people can help you out! :groupwave:

@Deb: We should all go to Wouter gig one day - wouldn't that be awesome? :wub2:

  9. here's the album with all my pix from the gig: http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/mellody76/Wouter%20Hamel/

I love your pix, Karin! :groupwave:

    Thanx for uploading!!

Will have to wait until Sunday to upload my vids...

We did look happy after the gig :)

And thanks for the setlist! Do you remeber what song Wouter used the megaphone? One girl asked me on youtube and I don't remember.

  10.

    What should I say

very cute guy, great voice and a fantastic band!!!

I couldn't agree more with you! Such an amazing gig! :wub2:

So happy I got the chance to have such an amazing evening.

I loved the location, loved the songs, the band, Wouter, I was with my friends, front row centre spot - everything was perfect!

He has a new Fan now :fangurl:

    count me in :wink2:

seemed to me that everyone in the audience was having a good time. in the end everyone was grooving along :biggrin2:

fantastic gig, really! he played for 1,5 hours, i never would've thought that!

me neither! wouldn't have minded the gig at all to last even longer :wub2:

Wouter was really chatty. Loved all the little stories inbetween the songs! He even tried to say a few things in German which was kinda cute :aah:

the atmosphere at this gig was very realxed and as mellody already told you - after a short phase of "familiarisation" we happily swayed and grooved along - which was a lot of fun.

Loved all the clapping and singing along parts.

can't upload my vids atm, ccan't remeber where I put the camera cord :teehee: But I just showed them to my mum and she thinks he's really good, too! Her comment on my pic with Wouter was "Awww, he's a cute guy!" lol (but totally true of course :wink2:)

    Great pix, Karin!

looking forwards to seeing the rest!

The M&G afterwards was very chilled, too. It was lovely to talk to him. When I told him that we're from the MFC he immediatelly knew about the Mika newsletter being all about him. But I told him (jokingly) that it was for the good cause - so that was alright lol (But non-jokingly that really was how I learnt about that amazon gig and the possibility to win tickets)

Whem Mellody mentioned Linde, he said s.th. like "Oh yes, you MUST know Linde!" :biggrin2: He told us he would probably do a club tour in Germany in the end of this year (if the sales of the CD are going well enough). I really hope so!!! Would be great!

I agree with mellody & Tina, he's really down-to-earth, and lovely. He really asked the guy from universal Germany himself what the first single is gonna be in Germany since he couldn't remeber which song was chose in the end...If I remeber correctly it's gonna be "Don't ask" now (instead of "Once in a lifetime"?) And he also said that he thinks it's gonna be played alright on German radio.

after chatting with him, we stayed in the club a little longer, and watched wouter taking some press pictures with a girl (dunno who she was, maybe a competition winner) - that was really funny, at one point the photographer told wouter to put his arm around the girl and wouter was like  in some way, and looked at us (we were sitting nearby) like "omg what will he ask next?!" (jokingly) - i guess that was because of the way the photographer had said it, it was a bit like :das: - lol!

loved this scene. really funny and a great end to yesterday's evening!

    Ah, I knew it! :biggrin2:

Great to hear you enjoyed it, didn't expect anything else

yeah, it was GREAT GREAT GREAT! and all because you decided to infect Mika with the Wouter virus and make him tweet about this talented guy! Thank you!

Great videos, Tina! The other vids posted on yt so far are also great! will help me to remember the gig even better!

edit: Karin, I just remembered that you took a pic of the setlist. Could you please post it on here once your computer starts working again?! thank you.
