How could I have forgotten about Blur - Park life?! *doh*

Love that song and I was so happy when it was played...

The rock cover of 'Crazy in love' is by Snow Patrol :wink2:

    Thank you! :flowers2:

In Strasbourg they started with the same playlist I was already used to for the German gigs...but at some point it got changed and a very cool mix of French and English songs came on...I remember

    - Yelle - Je veux te voir :mf_rosetinted:

    - Camelia Jordana - Non, non, non (écouter Barbara)

  2. Besides the ones you mentioned, I also remember these songs:

Faithless - God is a DJ

    ATB - 9pm (till I come)

Pink - Get the party started

    Michael Jackson - Bilie Jean

    Bob Marley - Buffalo soldier

Had to turn on my computer again since I remembered another 3 songs:

    Paolo Nutini - 10/10

Cheryl Cole - Fight for this love

Basement Jaxx - Where's your head at

Oh, and am I imagining things or was "Sweet dreams" also on this playlist?

And I know there also was a cover of "Crazy in love" by some rock band...Don't know who they are though...Anyone? ;)

Now I can sleep in peace. :aah:

  4. yay i won!! :woot_jump::biggrin2:

hope i'll find someone to go with, i hate going to concerts on my own (if i don't know anyone there... at mika gigs i'm never alone of course, even if i go on my own... :teehee:).

edit: that's the club where the gig takes place:

    A4_2Ampere_650.jpg

tina78 wants to come too, and mariposa might as well... it's gonna be an mfc invasion... :lmfao:

    Yeah. I won, too. :teehee:

Will be cool to go to this gig with MFC friends :thumb_yello:

    The venue looks very nice!

  5. Thanks for alls of your vids, Bienie! :groupwave:

You also happen to have recorded the death march and Lollipop/Kick ass? Thank you. :blush-anim-cl:

Edit: I must add that I'm really easy to keep happy though, I usually enjoy every single gig. I just want to see him on stage and it's enough. If he looks happy and relaxed, it makes me feel happy and relaxed immediately. If he gives a lot of attention and eye contact to the audience, it makes the audience feel special, of course, and I love it. And if he wants to concentrate on singing/his performance, I just enjoy his voice and try to see as many details of his show as possible. And if the atmosphere makes him and the band sing and play like in fire it's always fantastic. It's always good in different ways :wub2:

And for me it's the same as tiibet: as long as he's there and he's happy then it's all fine by me and then I'm happy too :biggrin2::aah:

I agree with you, girls! :thumb_yello:

  6. Ahh, thanks for all these links!

    He really rocks!:punk:

Waiting for his European tour dates to be announced! Might go and see him then...

Only just downloaded the 4 "bonus tracks" or however you might call them which are on the German/Dutch/... version of FYE. Hadn't known about them until Bubbles told me (I'm a bad fan *doh*) :aah:

@Babz: I really do like "Music again", too. It's one of the songs I always listen to twice.

But I also love"Aftermath" - such a shame it's the only song from his collaboration with Ferras that made it on the album. Would have loved to see more of the two of them (musically speaking that is ;) )

  7. think you're on more of them, just look in the photobucket album. :wink2:

    just did that. :wink2: thanx.

I'm on none of them, dammit :naughty:

where were you dancing again? you're sure you're on none of these pix?

    I'm done with the Antwerp-videos so Luxembourg's next! :biggrin2:

But I'm gonna start that tomorrow after work, would love to have an hour with a laptop that goes on the normal speed before I go to bed :aah::roftl:

yay! looking forwards to them!

  8. @Mariposa, Cath and Johnny : I'm so happy you had a great time together!! :roftl: Nice pics!! :thumb_yello: ( Ok je dois avouer que de voir Jonathan dans ce magniiiiiiifique pancho m'a bien fait marrer!! :naughty:)

    Thank you, hun.

    lol, yeah :teehee:

So I finally uploaded my pictures. It took ages again :sneaky2: Anyway, most of them aren't that good, but I like some. I didn't edit any BG/LG-pics in case some want to see them :biggrin2:

If they are mixed up a bit I'm sorry for that but right now I don't know how to fix that and it's far too late to work on that.

If you want some pics bigger and / or without my name on them, just pm me :wink2:

Oh, I almost forgot to post the link :naughty:http://s745.photobucket.com/albums/xx92/Statue_of_Liberty/Mika%20Rockhal%20Luxembourg%208th%20May%202010/

Great pix, Saskia. I found myself on 2 of them :wink2:

Saskia, your pics are just :mf_lustslow: Thank you!!!!!!!

    Two more vids,

    Here is Lollipop:

    And the Death March:

Awww! These are great vids, Nina! Love them! :thumb_yello:

@Sylvana: How cool Jimmy was wearing your bracelet! :biggrin2:

  9. Thanks!

I'm always afraid that by the time I'm done uploading, nobody cares anymore about the videos because there are already videos etc. :aah::teehee:

No way! Good things come to those who wait...:biggrin2:

The newspaper reviews r out and sooo good;))))

    thank you for the links!

I actually understand almost everything the woman says in the concert check, she speaks Luxembourgish really clearly I think...I usually don't understand everything when people talk Luxembourgish. So, yeah, this made my day. :wink2:

  10. There's a review in the Utrecht part of the AD newspaper about the gig. It is reasonably positive and it says that Mika was delayed since he got lost in Amsterdam, trying to find his favorite furniture shop by his own :teehee:.

Then he couldn't find a cap and but a lady in a cafe helped him to get one. He didn't have enough money for the taxi but I'm sure John took care of that :naughty:.

    <<processing>>

Too late? He started 21:00, right on time :thumb_yello:

Funny google: Amsterdam is translated by London :naughty:. I didn't change that in the translation.

:roftl: That made me giggle. Sounds so *Mika* to me :aah:

edit: and I see, google translate thinks Amsterdam's the new London?! :naughty:

  11. We then went back again to the dressing room, taking another group pic and then putting on our normal clothes again. When we were entering the room John was walking by singing a few lines of Kick ass lol. Our tickets were collected for Mika to sign them.

We were then lead to the catering area when we all took a seat. Soon we were asked to form a line at one side of the room and John told us we should form little grous. Our group was made up of: Nico, Johnny, Cath, Myriam and me. We were actually the first people waiting in line...

After a few minutes we saw Mika signing stuff outside the catering room. He then walked in all smiley making a comment about Bubbles having danced with him on stage and that he liked it and that he will now be famous forever :roftl: We then had a pic taken. Actually there was only one camera per group, so we chose Catherine's. But then the blond girl who was doing all the translations from English to French all the time (What was her name?) took mine, too. So yeah, that's why we had 2 pix of our group taken. :thumb_yello:

(both are already posted in this thread)

When Mika was done we were all lead downstairs again - and soon after joined the others who were still waiting for Mika to come out for the M&G.

after the gig - waiting outside

    P1070592.jpg

    funny faces pic :biggrin2:

    P1070593.jpg

and last but not least - the man himself

    P1070599.jpg

Was only watching the m&g outside, trying to take some pix since we had already had our moment with Mika that day. But that's the only one that turned out decent.

Thank you everyone: Mika, the band, John, Joannie, Anna, Maria, the whole crew, fellow MFCers!

This was the perfect last gig of this tour for me. Was having such a great time at all the gigs...Wouldn't wanna have missed any of them.

  12. Here's a few pix:

    Cath & moi

    P1070583.jpg

    Nico, Cath, moi, Johnny

    P1070584.jpg

me & Myriam with our shiny bg shoes

    P1070586.jpg

We then went back to the audience. We were all standing on the very right sight about 2nd/3rd row. It was an ok spot, but the fact that the big screen was just above us helped a lot. From what I saw the atmosphere was really good. It was the third time I saw the arena show (in one week ^_^) - and I still love love love it! I think it's amazing how well Mika and the band all complement each other perfectly - making it one big show! :wub2: When I see you was on we went backstage to line up for the death march. That's when I heard Mika thanking us before HE (through my skull :teehee:). Anyways, the march started - and I think at first everything went alright...But when I had almost arrived at the other side of the stage I at all of a suddenly lost sight of the person walking ahead of me (blame it on the skull!). And yeah, well, somehow I made it to the stairs again, but that very moment of not knowing where to go on somehow freaked me out. I was convinced I had ruined the whole thing...Had a quick look at tiibet's video afterwards, where - as far as I could see it on a small camera screen - you luckiyl can't really see that. Hope I will have this confirmed when more vids of our death march will turn up. :aah:

Anyway, after that we got back to the audience until after "la solitude" - such a beautiful song! Like mellody has already said in this thread - I liked the version of the song when the the girl of la Patère rose plays the accordion - but it's just as beautiful without. :wub2:

So we were split up in two groups and walked on stage once it was our time. Was fun dancing to Lollipop and Kick ass - tried to find people in the audience which was kinda hard 'cause of my mask, but the face paintings helped :thumb_yello:

When KA was finished we walked off stage. Imma was very cute helping me walking down the stairs with my skull asking if I was alright...
