    I`ve heard that there is the same rule with blood donorship, that`s what I heard in Israel.

    Someone told me that they don`t tell you directly but take your blood and then when they look on your questionary and see that you are gay they just spill the blood away. If this is true then it`s even sadder.

     

    It makes you lie that you are straight just because you want to give your blood.

     

    it happened here in Italy too... but I'm a blood donor and I can guarantee they didn't ask me what my sexual orientation was.

    Hi Happikali! I saw the pics too! here on the italian thread , somewhere back around xmas... don't ask me where exactly... but i remember them!:bleh:

     

    abbasso le spedizioni di hmv!!! costano un casino e si tagliano un sacco di alberi e poi, naturalmente, c'è più rischio che vengano perse le spedizioni!!!

     

    se non altro su play.com che adotta la stessa policy (spediscono ogni pezzo singolarmente), le spese di spedizione non ci sono!!!

    I hope you don't mind me wandering into your thread, but I had to share this.

     

    Apparently Health Canada is planning to ban sexually active gay men from becoming organ donors. WTF? We're a nation that recognizes gay marriage. So hypothetically, a man who married his long-term monogamous partner, who could in theory have far fewer notches on his bedpost than the next person of any orientation, could be banned from donating organs because he slept with his SPOUSE, of all things in the last five years.

    The article goes on to say: "They are also asked about the donor's sexual orientation. The donor will be excluded if the donor is a man who had sex with another man in the previous five years."

     

    So apparently, you can be hetero and sleep with anything that walks, but ONE guy-on-guy experience means you're probably teeming with HIV and Hepatitis, and therefore can't donate your organs to someone who may otherwise not live.

     

    Not to mention, we're talking about organ donation here. Assumably, the person in question is barely hanging on life support when the decision is made. Who's to say his next-of-kin will even KNOW if he's slept with a man or not? This new policy just seems so full of holes.

    eh mo' magari... dipende se mi rinnovano il contratto o meno E se questi esami andranno bene E se avrò risparmiato abbastanza! :P dicembre è stato devastante per il mio conto corrente!

    oh I LOVED it! I also loved the book. it's such an yearning, beatiful, poetic story.. I cry all the times I see it.. watched it twice at the movies (in dk and here) and cried every time there too LOL :bleh:

    oh boy! as I guess I already told avoca, I really dislike the movie version of Brokeback Mountain (the short story is okay for me, nothing exceptional)...

     

    I find that movie phoney, prude and boring, even if the acting is fairly good and the photography very posh.
