Is it called the "Ugly Betty Podcast"? Because I don't see the promo stuff on the Canadian itunes.

You will have a hard time getting it if it's not offered in your country. We had the same thing in the US. It took them way too long to offer Mika from the iTunes Festival. I checked out the iTunes store yesterday. They always offer free songs or videos, and I look at them. This was something I did not expect. Wow! You need to scroll down. It is not listed on the sides, so scroll down and look more at center. I don't know if I can get the link, as I don't need the internet to access iTunes. I will check it out. If I can get a link I will do so.

iTunes has freebies from its store. It really helped Sara Bareilles...love her. Now, Mika's promo for Ugly Betty is free on the site...US...don't know about elsewhere. It fills my 19" computer screen, and it is soooo great. It's 5 AM here EST. I'm up all night because I couldn't sleep. Now, I will never get any rest. Excuse me. I must go back to iTunes to watch MY video of Mika...what can I say? Get this while you can.

i know its sad that he did not win, but hey i cant wait to see the comedic bit on his show tomorrow night about losing! ESPECIALLY to jon stewart...lolz

I watch both the Daily Show and the Colbert report. I have no strength left after watching both; I laugh for an hour. They are on several times a day. I am a fan of both. Stephen started off on Jon Stewart's Daily Show prior to getting his own show.

This is only my personal opinion: I don't think that Mika will give up on this without a fight. Mika wants to stay as Mika. Does anyone want to go for a drink?

MIKA faces a blow to his bid for pop supremecy - from a Belgian female raggae artist with the same name.

 

 

The other Mika is threatening to sue our rising new superstar for allegedly nicking her moniker.

She claims she registered it in the 1980's.

And she wants her London-based rival to either change his name or pay the damages.

Despite having released five albums the Belgian Mika isn't exactly a household name - even in her own country.

But she insisted "I was called Mika before him and have registered the name. Even though his real name is Mica, I think he should change it."

 

 

 

 

A source close to the, erm, star said "She's not happy. There's only enough room for one Mika in the popworld - and she was here first."

Reggae Mika has hardly set the charts alight.

She released debut single MLK in 1989 but it attracted little attention. If you want to to buy it you can get it from her website for £2. (LMFAO sorry but that so made me laugh hard!)

Her subsequent releases haven't done much better.

In contrast our Mika burst onto the Pop scene in January with no.1 single Grace Kelly.

Just eight months later his debut album, Life In Cartoon Motion, has sold more than three million copies worldwide, including more than 900, 000 in the UK, making it triple platinum.

The album has hit No.1 in a dozen-plus countries, from across Europe to the Far East.

He is the biggest new artist in Europe and the biggest selling UK act in the world this year after Amy Winehouse.

His private life makes for pretty amazing reading too.

Mika's family were forced to leave war-torn Lebanon to Paris before moving to London when he was a child.

So I don't think he'll be losing too much sleep over this latest attack.

But it could end up costing him a bit of money since his real name is spelt slightly differently. (EVEN THOUGH BELGIUM WOMAN'S REAL NAME IS SOPHIE!)

Last night his manager was not available to comment. In the past, acts have been forced to cough up to keep a disputed name or have had to change it - including Liberty X, who were originally called Liberty.

Sounds to me like this other Mika is trying to take liberty too.

It's all an attempt to get her own recognition...and some bucks. Why did she wait this long? Also, there are a few Mika's who are in the business. I don't think he'll have a real problem. It's so ridiculous.

I'm reading this in September. In case no one answered, this one is from People magazine.

I hope everybody reads this before they download the file. I wouldn't want anyone making judgment on the song without knowing my bird is in it!

 

OK, I decided to help everyone on out and after ours of listening to the radio show I finally found when the song is played. So, I went ahead and recorded it with my microphone (not the best audio quality), and my bird (who loves Mika and dances to him) opted to make an appearance in it. So every time you hear a sort of shriek-y noise that's him! I will try an record it once again later, but this is just for everyone who is eager as I was to listen to the changes made to the song.

 

 

P.S. I hope there's no legal trouble posting this, sense the quality isn't the best and my bird is in it. Lol, if there is let me know and will remove.

I just got it. It finally got to the US. I agree...so great.

America is fuddy duddy when it comes to certain artists. I mean, Josh Groban did horrible in Album sales here; however, his concerts have been selling out here. And, the more people I talk to about MIKA, the more that seem to know him. YAY!! I'm just afraid with the Electronic Age, many people just share music instead of actually buying it. It's great for getting known; however, sucks for album sales.

 

Anyways, I really hope he comes back here soon! And yes, it's too bad that he wasn't able to do Canadian Idol. If he didn't do, "So you think you can dance", I'm not sure if I would know who he was yet.

I went to see the American Idol tour tonight. People were text messaging, and it was shown on a big screen. People were saying "hi" to friends, parents, etc. Others were texting to their favorite idol. I decided to text, and it came up on the big screen during intermission. I wrote Mika rocks. Shortly after that, they played Grace Kelly. It was so great. I was more excited about that than the entire show.

I don't know how many people know this, and a BIG thanks goes to Titania for posting this in the iTunes Festival thread and informing me, but the iTunes Festival can now be found on the US version of iTunes! Woohoo! Thank you iTunes for finally helping us out over here in the US!!!
