Well, mostly people will discuss under themselves how much money they want to spend Especially because shipping costs are so high already.

About what to send, it started out with people sending things that are typical for their country. Like, sorts of candy you only find over there, but also post cards etc, anything typical really. And maybe some little cheap cute/funny things you find. Some people also send mika'ish things they have spare etc etc. Some people ask each other what things they want, others want it to be a surprise. So really, everything goes
