  1.

I need someone to tell the INTRO.

Greetings Mika, from your fan club,

And especially the members from the UK

Who are thrilled about your radio show and Palladium Gig.

To celebrate you being in the UK again,

We've collaborated and made a video for you.

We come up with some new lyrics

To your song Live Your Life.

It's from all of us on MFC.

    The world loves you Mika.

    Who wants to tell it?

I would have done it but I'm not sure about posting videos. I'd have to ask my son for help and he's very busy with work at the moment. If you can't get anyone to do it, I could see if I can, but I'd be happy for someone else to do it..

  2. Yes!

Palladium is the venue where the Beatles played for the Royal Variety Performance Show in 1963.

As a Beatlemania, I'm so honored to go the Palladium.. MIKA will play on the same stage.

I will be in stalls (cheaper seat) , so I will clap my hands.

If you have a ticket in Royal Circle.. you've got to bring your jewelry! :teehee:

    Ref:

The Beatles - Twist and Shout, Royal Command Performance, London Palladium,1963

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O9Ef1PkVj4

    NaoMika☆

I actually saw it on our black-and-white TV. The Beatles at The Palladium was such a big event in the UK at the time. They were awesome, and that command had us laughing our heads off in our house.

Those in the cheap seats, clap your hands

Those in the dear seats, rattle your jewellery.

  3. why do people think 1 million followers are important when not all of them bought his albums? It would be more worth NPIH was sold 1 million times........

yeah I know obviously that's true. I mean I won't be whining about it because I can go on hours on why it didn't work out well. At least it looks good when you click on his profile on Twitter though. But let's be a little optimistic in this sea salt shall we?

People are more likely to believe Mika is still relevant if there are a lot of followers on Twitter. For example; if people hear him on New Years Day and look him up on Twitter, it looks better if he has over 1 million followers already. So that's why it's so important.

  4. :thumb_yello: Marilyn - after these last years,  with all your fab. song lyrics,  posted in the Wonka thread, I can't say how happy I am - that your great idea now is going to be a product!   I've always wanted MIKA to get the opportunity to read what you've written.  And now that you've found such amazing and clever helpers,  here on the MFC,  this will be a reality - and even a video sent to MIKA at the BBC Radio 2 show!! :thumb_yello:  :fisch:   It's just sooo fantastic - and I'm sure he'll be bot happy and flattered! MIKA has said that  he loves the creativity of his fans, and this will be a new proof of how clever you all are - BIG congratulations to those who contributed!!  I can hardly wait for the final result... :teehee:  :wink2:

    Love, love

    me

What I'm most thrilled about is that everyone has got behind this idea and it's going to be a team effort.

    Go team MFC!

Thank you so much for your compliments.

  5. I love to write. I would have loved to write professionally, but never managed to, although I have had things published in the past.

Here's a poem I made up a few years ago, about Mika.

A boy was born in a land of war

Where the bombs and bullets fell

    But thankfully, that special child

Was taken from that land of hell

To find some safety, and to grow

into the wonderful man we've come to know

But happiness could not be found

    "He is Dyslexic", doctors said

School children loved to bully him

And teachers filled his heart with dread

But his mother knew he was no fool

And so, she took him out of school

Then music was his saving grace

He learned to play piano, by ear

He wrote his own little melodies

And had a voice so pure and clear

    His mother helped his awakening,

She hired a teacher to train him to sing

To share his music was his aim

    But record companies disagreed

"He is a loose cannon" and can't be tamed

He'll never be what the public need

But his lovely smile and voice and songs

Were what we had needed for so long.

    True genius will always shine

And Mika's songs got on the internet

Where people thought them, sweet as wine

And suddenly, his career was set

To those who spurned him, he gave some welly

It became a hit, it's called Grace Kelly

Now people come from far and wide

And Mika is a worldwide star

He sets a fine example of

A man determined to go far

And as he wins worldwidel aclaim

This world will never be the same

  6.   :uk:  :uk:  :uk:   All post with Video - LYL I will mark with  :uk:  :uk:  :uk:

    This is frenchfan84 video:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By0Bka-eXqSzMU9zaWkzVzgtSEU/view

    Your video is amazing:thumb_yello:

You have an unbelievable sense of rhythm.

    You thought about everything:

    1. The base for vocal.

    2. Union flag.

You just came, read and done.

Like Veni vidi vici - I came I saw I conquered.

If you are like this when you're only 16 y.o. - who will you be at the age of 25? or 35?

I will send you a friend request and would be proud if you accept it...  :hi5:

That's so fantastic! You nailed it sweetie!!

  7. No, not only they don't have stopped and continue, also on YouTube, and even some "fans" of Mika that were previously displeased about it now retweet the "ship", but also these articles:  http://www.leggo.it/SPETTACOLI/TELEVISIONE/mika_fedez_xfactor_sposi_matrimonio_londra_foto/notizie/1633564.shtml  ,  http://it.blastingnews.com/tv-gossip/2015/10/mika-annuncia-il-suo-matrimonio-con-fedez-00615993.html , http://www.abruzzo24ore.tv/news/XF9-Mika-Dichiara-che-Sposera-Fedez-ma-il-Rapper-si-Arrabbia/164750.htm (and others)       But these people understand the irony or not?  :dunno:  they write repeating the phrase of Mika, that was clearly ironic, but suggesting instead that there is some truth in it. What a trashy gossip!  :sneaky2:

Honestly, this is par-for-the-course when someone is famous. The fact that Mika hasn't been affected until now, is that he was very closed off at first, about his private life, and wasn't interacting with other celebs on the TV. But he couldn't continue to hide away and still have a career.

The people who spread these kinds of rumors are morons with nothing better to occupy their time. They are best ignored, not even mentioned at all..

  8. Machine Management

10th Dec: Mika to host 'The Art of Song' on BBC Radio 2.

Internationally acclaimed and multi-platinum pop star Mika hosts a two hour special focusing on some of the greatest songs and songwriters of all time, on New Year’s Day at 1400 on Radio 2. He will be playing some of his favourite records, looking at the story behind the music and revealing his own relationships with his favourite artists. Throughout the show Mika will also perform covers of songs by iconic artists on the Radio 2 piano donated by Elton John. Featured artists will include Adele, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Carole King.

That's great! But they need to also advertise on Radio 2's site I love the wording, especially the "Internationally acclaimed" bit.

  9. ^ It's hard to tell you how to upload & send your video without being there as all cameras, computers & software are slightly different. Do you have any friends or neighbours who are good with computers? You shouldn't need any other equipment to do it.

And the intro sounds great :)

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwk Marilyn sweetie, your intro is so heart warming and lovely, it's perfect!!! You guys, Mika is going to love this, I love this, I can't tell you how happy I am that we are all doing this together, I mean, this is  AMAZING and so inspiring to others, GO TEAM :cheer:  :hi5:  :fangurl:   :group_hug:  :excite:!!!

Thanks for the compliments about the intro. I'll leave it to you young ones to be in the video. Maybe, someone who isn't confident at singing, but would love to be involved, could do the intro. The Palladium Rap also needs to be spoken, so there's something else for one, or two, non singers to do. So there's something for everyone. I'm happy to have helped with the writing of the song and the intro.

  10. Your Idea for intro is excellent. It makes things clear from the start.

I'll sent you personal message how to upload and send it.

I've read your messages. They came to me via email. I'm not clear about replying to messages on this new site.

To be honest, if I have to go to a computer shop to find out how to upload a video from a camera, I'd sooner pass, and let someone else do it if they want. I'm just not confident with technology and I really don't mind not appearing on the video. It's enough to know I started the idea, and it's all for Mika.

I'll write what I thought of saying, so that if someone wants to use it, they can, or it can be tweaked, or changed. It's just an idea for the opening.

Greetings Mika, from your fan club, and especially the members from the UK who are so thrilled about your radio show, and your Palladium Gig.

To celebrate you being in the UK again, we've collaborated and come up with some new lyrics, to your wonderful tune Live Your Life. It's from all of us on MFC. The world loves you Mika.

We know that we can not outdo your own great lyrics for this lovely song. This is just a gift from us as a tribute to you.

  11. I'm not on twitter now because, for some reason I can't get into the one I had with Alan. Something is wrong with it, but I'll write to Radio 1 on the site.

But I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you newbies who haven't tried before.

We've tried lots of stuff before and R1 take absolutely no notice. These days they play rap-with-a-capital-C, so they are not interested in Mika's music.

What you all, on twitter and fb could try, we've done it before, is a Trending Day on Twitter

At a certain time, everyone tweets, and uses a hashtag like #NoPlaceInHeavenByMika. Or, if you do it on New Years Eve, before the show on R2, you could use something like #HappyMikaNewYearOnRadio2 The idea is to get the topic trending and let the people know it's about Mika.

But it needs lots of people so it needs organisation if you all do it.

There's a great review of Mika's double album on the UK Press thread, to keep UK spirits up.

  12. I think that everyone who is singing, just adapt your part to whatever you are comfortable with, even if you change the wording a bit to do it.

Could someone tell me how to upload a video from a camera, and tell me where to send it? I haven't got a clue and if I can't do it then I'll have to just not do an intro.

If I can find out how to send it I'll just do a short intro to tell Mika what we've done and why.

It will be okay to do this, won't it? Will he be okay with us using his tune? My intro could include a disclaimer, just to be on the safe side. What does everyone think?

But I'm sure he'll really love it.

  13. Here are the lyrics with the alterations and the rap included.

Dear Mika now at last you're on the radio

Give the world a show, singing high, sometimes singing low

    We're hopeful and we're happy

Just hearing you on Radio 2

Everyone is tuning in to hear you now

English, Welsh and Scottish all agree somehow

Your words make us think and your melodies make us sing

Don't you know, we do need another gig here oh...

It's so long since you've been gone  (Possible chorus)

Mika please don't ever go away

Mika don't forget us in UK

Mika please stay with us all day

Mika don't you also see it's true

That in this world, all love you.

We love you, we have no choice

    Everytime we hear your voice

Mika you took  time but now you're here again

Your voice is our favourite sound, since way back

When Grace Kelly, was on the radio

Your sweet beaming smile makes happiness, profound (I still can't follow the rhythm of LYL for these two lines...    )

Our hearts fill with joy every time we hear your lovely sound

And we really really have no choice oh...

Just like when we first found you

    We're listening on Radio 2

    Everyone from MFC

And the world will all agree

    We're listening with eager hearts

    To the wisdom you impart

About the songs you want to play

    Pop, Classical and Blues today.

    This is the rap

Mika we'll see you at the Palladium

That's as good as seeing you in a stadium.

Fans will gather from near and far

Excited to see you, the shining star

Your shows always leave us on a high

Making us feel that we can fly

Thank you for remembering the UK

We're all ready for a fantastic day.

  14. I can't understand why Mika doesn't write a Christmas song! It's the gift that keeps on giving for a songwriter, and every year it would be sung. If we think of all the songs we hear, like that awful one by Slade (Merry Christmas Everybody) or my husband's favourite (The Fairytale of New York By The Pogues) or my own personal Favourite (A Winter's Tale By David Essex) They're played every year, and we could do with some new Christmas music.

I do wish Mika would write something for Christmas.

However, I did hope that he might have released his song NPIH for Christmas. It could have worked, with a beautiful Christmas video, But it didn't happen.

  15. Sorry for delay.

    I'll reply later.

    Just two things.

    1. I know how to make 1 long video from many short videos. So I will do it.

    2. Maybe I've found the way how to contact Mika.

I will think about lyrics and rap, ok?

My son says he can film me doing my speaking intro, on his digital camera. You'd have to give me instructions on what to do with the film. How to send it to you.

Who is going to sing the song? Any volunteers yet?

Does anyone want to complete the original rap?

  16. Sorry for delay.

Okay! That's brilliant. If we do a video, I'd be happy to do a very short intro, speaking, to let him know it's from his fan club and we've collaborated on the lyrics and borrowed LYL tune. Just so he knows what it is. However, I'd have to find out how to do the short vid and send it to you. My son might be able to film me on his phone, but he's not very tech savvy either, even though he's young.

Anyway, things are shaping up nicely. Thank you!

  17. I didn't really get what the song was about, with the video, and I must admit, I prefer Mika when he sings alone, not when he has to make way for someone else in the song. It's a bit like Celebrate, which would have been much better as China Boy, without changing it to fit PW vocals.

I like Mika's part and could imagine the fans singing "It's a beeeeeautiful disasteeeeeeeer" at the gigs.

I look forward to Mika's own version of the song, but I don't think it's going to to top NPIH as my favourite Mika song.
