  1. then i can totally tell you are british lol. never heard an american saying don't mention it!
  2. de nada! (don't mention it, or you're welcome) ps. which one of the 2 do you use?
  3. well, these would be the phonetics if you wanted to say that with an argentinian accent lol. NO SHORE(just say the word shore and then say the name of the letter "S") POR ME AR HEN TINA, TEN-GO A MIKA EN ME VEE-DA AH-O-RA E ES TO-DOH LO KEH NEH-CEH-SEE-TOH PAH-RAH MAN-TEH-NER A ME COH-RAH-ZON TEE-BEEO
  4. 400 = CUATROCIENTOS. AND THE TRANSLATION WOULD BE. "NO LLORES POR MI ARGENTINA, TENGO A MIKA EN MI VIDA AHORA Y ES TODO LO QUE NECESITO PARA MANTENER A MI CORAZON TIBIO! but we don't really use the "keep my heart warm" expression, so i just translated it literally
  5. Heyy, What Is The Exact Meaning Of Posh? I Never Get It Quite Right. Is It Kind Of Wannabe Upper Class Or What?
  6. great idea! of course you are not a lost cause, nobody is! I find it impossible to learn french but i`m sure that if someone really sat next to me and really tried to teach me i would learn (eventually lol) I can teach you some spanish if you want. It would be not spanish from spain, that could be compared to BrE (i mean, it's the original one lol),but spanish from argentina that would be like AmE if you get my point. Just tell me what you want to know and i'll translate it for you! chau(spanish people would say adios)
  7. i don´t know about spain, but it certainly does here in argentina lol. I believe they call them cojones in spain. Never heard of fresco meaning "gay" though!. We don´t really use that word here but if we did it would be some kind of literal english translation, so it would mean "cool".
  8. YEAHH I CALL IT LIKE THAT TOO. IN CASE YOU HADN'T NOTICED, I'M LIKE A LANGUAGE SCHIZOPHRENIC LOL.
  9. DID YOU MEAN SOMETHING TO THROW THE TRASH IN? IF YOU DIDN`T, I HAVE NO CLUE OF WHAT A DUSTBIN MEANS!
  10. I CAN´T BELIEVE YOU`VE BEEN MOCKED FOR THAT! I MEAN, MOST PEOPLE IN NORTH AMERICA SAY IT LIKE THAT
  11. WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY? WHAT A CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY WORLD
  12. ´ I ACTUALLY SAY FANCY LOL. NEVER HEARD OF SOME OF THE OTHER ONES THOUGH.
  13. Omg Im Haunting You All. You´ll Spend The Rest Of The Day Saying Mika Meeker Mika Meeker Mika Mika Mika Mika Meeker Mika Meeker Mika Mika Mika Mika Mika Meeker
  14. that's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny mika meeker?mika mika mika meeker?mika mika mika mika meeker mika LOL
  15. ohh i LOVE the beatles... and that song is SO WEIRD but i absolutely LOVE IT! BTW. DO YOU SAY "BEEDLES" OR "BEETTLES"(I SAY IT LIKE OPTION 2., BUT MOST PEOPLE I KNOW SAY "BEEDLES") ohh mike myers is really funny. but his british accent in austin powers is SOOOO OVER THE TOP( OF COURSE, THAT´S WHAT MAKES IT EVEN FUNNIER). I DON´T KNOW HOW BRITISH PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT IT THOUGH. LOL.
  16. have you heard the beatles' a day in the life? well, john clearly says I saw® a film today oh boy That example was given in the article but i heard the song to see if it was really like that and BELIEVE ME, IT IS!
  17. ohh god ive just realised i do that too. maybe my british side is growing stronger than my american one lol. (the same thing that happens to mika happens to me,my accent changes depending on who i'm talking to) like, I say hee they are but heRE i am
  18. i believe not being afraid of making mistakes is 90% of language learning! but i don´t know if it´s really easier to learn spanish/italian just because your mother tongue is also a romance language. I can understand written italian but not spoken italian. And when it comes to french... well... I´ve been in paris and i'm a complete disaster. I could understand some words after having spent some time there, but I COULD NOT EVEN SPEAK ONE WORD ( you should just hear me trying to say bonjour). And ALL THAT CONSERING THAT my mother tongue is spanish! I speak english a lot better than I speak french. But that's also because I've spent almost every summer of my life speaking english.(sometimes in London, and others in the USA or Israel). All the books are in english because i´ve got used to it and now I find it easier than reading in spanish!
  19. yay, that was me! i found the word guttural a bit odd but i just thought that´s what you meant!.
  20. Ohhh Poor Thing, His Mum Shouts At Him? I Believe He Does Sound Very French While Speaking French, Though He Does Lack Vocabulary. He Makes Mistakes While Speaking Spanish, But He Is The Cutest Thing Ever. There Is Nothing Sexier Than Someone Trying To Speak Spanish When Its Not His Mother Tongue:) And, Well, If You Ask Me About His English Accent, I Believe He Does Not Sound American At All Except For A Few Words, Like When He Says "budderfly" Instead Of "buttahfly"(trying To Show How British People Would Say It Lol). But Then Youve Got Words Like Lady Where He Sounds Extremely British.
  21. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH GOD I COULD NOT AGREE MORE! THINK ABOUT IT: "OHH, HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEW ROBBIE SONG? IT´S SO FETCH" LOL. (I CONFESS, I HAVE SEEN LINDSAY LOHAN´S MEAN GIRLS)
  22. of course it isn´t . you don`t have to tell me that since i´m a foreigner too! my point is that she shouldnt have interviewed freddie then! or otherwise she should have tried to know exactly what she would be asking so that she didn´t repeat the questions without even noticing it. and, believe me, there ARE brazilians who speak perfect english.
