My point and shoot has a neck strap so I hid mine when going in because I saw a no camera sign. There wasn't any problems at that venue with them though. It's usually just professional cameras/recording devices. They don't want people to take good photos/videos and try to sell them which is understandable because then we'd be swarmed with paps at concerts instead of fans. You should be fine.

question though: did they allow cameras in the venue? or are you all sneaky? I don't have my ticket with me and sometimes it says like "NO CAMERAS ALLOWED" on the stubs or whatever. And I kinda don't want to get my sister's camera confiscated :/ thanks!

well, the didnt really, haha but we're going anyway. we know we're getting tickets, and it's always at least two, so we'll be there dammit! screw school nights (that's what we were debating mostly.. considering we live a (tiny) state away )

Yes, it was in Canadian dollars. The poster I got was $10 and the other one was $20.

The one I got was a huge version of the cover of TBWKTM, you can see all the detail. The other one appeared to be the CD (like what's printed on the disc) and the same/similar design was on the tote bag.

ugh me too. my friend called the orpheum and they said they cant find anything out until 6pm the day of the gig We both still want to go haha but if they only give us two tickets then her mom has to wait in boston until the gigs over.

I'm going to a mika concert on thursday at orpheum theatre in boston, and me and friends have been wondering what to wear?!

Its our first mika concert ever, we're so excited but so confused. Help please ?

welcome, too! oo I *might* see you there (hypothetically since there's gonna be many people haha) I'm such a bad persona and haven't figured out if I can go... 4 days beore the show! But i have an excuse, I mean since my friend WON tickets on sme website after I couldnt get them when they first went on sale (love her) we need to see how many tickets theyre giving us and it's on a school night :/ But I'm gonna be a good girl all week and pray to the mighty mika gods.

this'll be my first mika concert too but from other concerts I've been too I've learned to dress light and of course dress for the band. Definitely colorful!!

Since is october, you could wear pants so you don't freeze outside. I don't think that'll be too uncomfortable considering it's a seated concert (aka no pit). I've had my outfit planned out for a Mika concert for about 2 years so I'm all set. just remember to have fun and not worry about it too much!

wow this really is an easy project. The Boston show is this week and I'm not sure if i can make it (my AMAZING friend won tickets after I slaved over video contests and the like haha) but could I be a part of this? My ridiculous username is fine You're awesome for doing this btw

Ahhh that's so awesome! I looked for contests to try to win tickets but I had no clue what radio stations were around Boston! I won't be going this year as I'm broke and couldn't buy a ticket. I'm assuming that you'll get to meet him or something being on the guest list, unless if they're calling winning tickets being on a guest list.

yea I know! I've entered all possible contests for this, slaving over a video contest, and this contest all she had to do was enter her email and bam. ok. haha

and of course no one of importance works on saturdays and the venue wont answer the phone so we have to wait til monday, 4 DAYS before the show, to get info on this. I really hope this works out

Hokay. So on friday, my friend got a call from buzznet which is a music blogging site and she had entered a contest to get tickets to see Mika. anad she won! a). we dont know how many tickets we get and B). we don't know what it means to be on "Mika's Guest List". I thought I read something about it on the forums but don't remember where so maybe someone else knows what the perks are of this? and if we end up going itd be to this Boston show so hopefully you'll see us there!

I've had the most freaky, but romantic dream EVER last night!

It seemed so real. It was funny, but romantic and sweet at the same time. I've been thinking about it the whole day actually. It was weird, but so nice.

 

My mom told me I had to go to the supermarket to get some Chinese food. So I was in the supermarket looking for Chinese food, but couldn't find it. So I went over this guy who works at our local supermarket, to ask him where I could find the Chinese food. He said he didn't knew, because it was out of the assortment. Then he said that he had to ask his boss. So I waited, when suddenly this really tall, skinny, handsome guy comes over, with a watermelon cap on his head. I immediately recognized him ofcourse. I looked him in his eyes and said: "Mika? Is that you?" He smiled and said "Yes I am" Then he told me he his recordcompagny dumped him, because they didn't liked his new songs, so he had to work at a supermarket.

After a little chit-chat, wich I can't remember anymore, he suddenly asked me if I wanted to have diner with him. Ofcourse I said yes!

 

Suddenly I was at this little romantic restaurant. I was waiting at the bar, when Mika came in. He wore a black suite, and looked absolutely stunning. He smiled at me, gave me a kiss on my cheek, and whispered in my ear that I looked wonderfull tonight. .

We went over this table, and order ourself some drinks. I ordered a 7-up, but Mika told the waiter he wanted 4 bottles of Goldstike? ( wtf?)

The waiter also asked us already what we wanted to eat. (guys, you won't believe what Mika said)"We'll have the special turkey diner please" (Omg, just like the competition!! It was so freaky!)

So we ate our turkey, it was so romantic. We had a really nice conversation, and I really felt a connection. It was so strange! I seemed so real. We had a great time during the diner.

 

Now comes the best part ..

After the diner he brought me home. He was on his bike, so I had to sit on the back of his bike, wrapped my arms around his waist.

It was all dark, and there were a lot off stars. Then he suddenly started to hum the melody of I See You. He sang it for me, while biking. It was so great.. *Sigh*

I remember I felt dissapointed when I saw my house again. I jumped of the bike, and thanked him for the great night. When I wanted to walk away, he called my name. He walked over me, and said he would walk me to the door, because he didn't felt like a gentleman. "No problem"

We stoot in front of the door. He smiled at me, and blushed a little bit. Then he grabbed my both hands, and put them against his chest. In a way I just had to get a little bit closer to him, so I did. He stroke my hair, and whispered he had a great night, and he liked me very much.

I remember his big brown eyes looking at me, coming closer. And he gave me a really soft cute kiss on my lips. I looked at him again, and he gigglet. Then we kissed, it was so great. It was a really cute, but passionate kiss. After that I woke up.

 

It was the best dream ever. I remember all the little details. And it seemed so real, like he really was my boyfriend and stuff.

Some things just didn't make sense at all though. I mean, mika working at a supermarket drinking goldstrike?

 

I had this really odd feeling when I woke up, very empty or something. But at the same time a nice warm feeling.

It was awesome. I hope I'll have such a dream another time.

that was bloody adorable. I haven't had a Mika dream in a while and I'm jealous! agh, that would totally make my day better just having that dream to remember. If only it were real

I really love this song. It was the first song I heard after I downloaded it off itunes and hearing that dodgy voice made my day 500 times better.

Tonight, my local Alternative rock radio station plays 5 new songs you should know about at 9pm and I saw MIKA- Blame it on the Girls on the list. I wasn't listening at the time but freaked out when they said that it was one of the songs they played and voted for it to be played again tomorrow night! I was totally caught off guard but excited.. like why would an alt. rock station be playing Mika? Actually, I don't need to know. I just told them I loved them for playing it!

i know people were hinting it was gonna be February before, but I was still hoping for UK dates in June... my first trip to England is in June and I wanted to see Mika for the first time there at the same time :/ and we don't know what he's doing in june yet right? (*plans a stalking expedition for mid-june*)

yea on the livenation website it just lists Mika as the act. but what do they know

does anyone know what the opening act is gonna be like if there's one at all? cuz really, does Mika need to get the crowd warmed up for him?
