  1. I gave all my old childhood toys away to charity when I was about 16. If I ever move (I've lived in the same home for the past 33 years) and we downsize I probably would do it again. Until then I'll probably keep adding to my collection for a little while longer. But just don't tell my Mother.... lol
  2. Found it, Will be perfect as It's not too big.
  3. Hee yep he does seem Mikaish - I think I shall give him that ... he's so cute ... I just have to find the thing - it's probably one of the smallest things on that sofa Thanks for your help guys
  4. I have trouble cleaning it lol - I have to put them all on my bed lol Most of the big plushy ones I won at the Ideal Home Show in London .... I really want to go again this year, every year I've gone I've won one of them - actually one day I went and won three at once. lol That was the cats..... My mother said If I go again this year and bring one of those things back again she'll disown me. Ha. You buy raffle tickets and have to have an odd number ticket - easier said then done. You get 20 tickets for £5.00. I've just been lucky I guess. Actually I do have a little Gizmo (you know the absolutely cute thing from Gremlins) that I might give Mika, I think Mika is actually cuter than Gizmo but least he'll fit in my bag. Gizmo not Mika. I don't have a bag big enough to fit Mika in. Oh and the giraffe is out - it's sodding 5ft lol - I can't lug that all the way to London. It was bad enough lugging it back two years ago.
  5. The monkey was my last purchase ..... I really should stop buying them ... it's abit of an addiction with me ... esp going to the Disney Store when I'm in London ... I shall not go when I'm in London in Feb ... I SHALL NOT
  6. Awwww I don't have any Japanese toys ... that's a shame. I shall just take myself then ... it was just a thought
  7. Oh and this is my sofa - told you I have a slight love of toys .... Have alot of Disney toys ... Bambi, Thumper, Dumbo, Both Lady and The Tramp dogs, Simba, Tigger and Eyeore, Scooby Doo, Tons of others ...
  8. Ok as you know I'm kind of new to this Mika lark. Am going to my first Mika gig in February. Have been to tons of gigs but have never felt the urge or inclination to take anything with me as a gift for the person I'm seeing before. Stuff for them to sign if I get the chance to meet them ... yes Anyway I know from reading stuff in this forum that Mika likes toys.... Ummm well so do I .... Just slightly... Have so many of the damn things my Mum keeps joking that we need a new house soon.... Anyway what kind of toys does he like... is it anything and everything ... cos' you see I have some exceptional stuff ... not even paid for ... I pretty much won them you see.... So I was thinking of giving him one of these... though some of them are quite big.... beautiful ..... completely lovely ... abit like him ..... anyway here's what I have ... have taken some pics so please tell me what you think ..... most of you have met him and know what he likes ..... You see this is kind of what I mean by having a slight problem with my love of toys - this one won't even fit in my room Does he like dogs .... nearly lifesize Dalmation This is probably my favourite one - with the thought of giving it to him ... currently stuck behind my sofa .... Collection of three wild cats .... sorry he can't have them all - he could have one though ..... Or - well they don't need introductions do they Or a larger Mickey Mouse actually from Disney World in America ... I didn't go my brother did .... My hotel is about 2 mins from the venue so it's not like I even have to lug it to the concert with me ... my hotel is in the same bloody street as Hammersmith Apollo (how cool is that) Anyway could you all let me know what you think ... I'm thinking the wolf mainly cos' it's so bloody nice .... but will take any thoughts and ideas on board. Even if you tell me not to bring any ........
  9. I just downloaded the PDF file for this. It looks amazing, obviously haven't read it all yet. To be honest I've never known a set of fans who have the dedication to actually put together a proper book themselves and get it published. You have my upmost admiration. As soon as I have £27.00 available spare to splash out I shall purchase a proper copy of this. Mainly cos' your hard work deserves to be seen properly. Gratz to all for doing this ... esp for newish Mika Nuts...
  10. If anyone's interested who's thinking of going to this - Ticketmaster still has standing tickets for this show as of yesterday - I only booked mine then - I thought it was sold out so have been looking on ebay - glad I didn't pay the sodding prices on that - £19.50 is abit better than £35.00 - £65.00 - don't you think. http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk
  11. Hi there everyone, My name's Laurel... I joined your lovely forum a few days ago, but have been too caught up with stupid work to say a proper hello. I'm 33 and I live in the UK. Still live at home with my mother.. who's probably my best friend. OK so on with Mika ... I first heard Grace Kelly last year, but everytime I heard it on the radio - I never seemed to catch the name of who sung it. Just really liked it though. I love the Scissor Sisters - me and and a friend at work (I work at Morrison's - for those who don't live in the UK - It's a supermarket - Oh and I completely hate it) He kept going on about someone called Mika - and had I heard of him, said he sounded abit like the Scissor Sisters and I should check him out. Went home that night and looked up his songs on the internet. Realised finally who sang that bloody song I kept hearing. Downloaded the album the same night to check that out too. Haven't stopped playing it since. Grace Kelly isn't my favourite song at all - It's probably about my fourth fave I love Love Today.... If I've had a completely nightmare day at work (which is most of them) I come home and put that song on, and it just seems to make everything better. Music should be like that - just make you feel good - no matter what kind of ****e has been thrown at you. Even though I've got his album and love his music - I never classed myself as a Mika fan though. I didn't even know upto a few months ago what he looked like. Though to be honest my type of bloke is normally the skinny, quite tall and extremely handsome sort - but he's been a kind of grower on me. Actually to be honest since the end of 2003 I've been abit of a Franz Ferdinand nut. Alex is my kind of guy. As I said I have something about tall skinny blokes. Met him tons of times. Lovely bloke to boot. Bought Mika's DVD at Christmas on a whim. Am pretty hooked now. The concert seemed amazing (Have just booked to see him at Hammersmith Apollo on the 25th Feb - so slightly looking forward to that - Hope to see some of you there hopefully). But it was actually the documentary on the DVD that really opened my eyes up to him. He just seems so nice. I love the way he talks - he's so sodding cute and bloody sexy at the same time. Have been looking on the internet for site's on him - and obviously stumbled across this place - though the gallery caught my attention first So now I'm a bonafide Mika nut - abit late - but I'm here none the less....
