Well .. It's official, Mennel leaves The Voice .. She just announced it in a small video on her Facebook page.

She said that she did not want to hurt anyone, and that the whole controversy surrounding her old comments touched her a lot and that because of that, she prefers to leave the adventure.

This is the first time a candidate leaves the show like that, so I really wonder how they will do, I think it's going to be really complicated ..  I do not know how far she went in the adventure, maybe those at the recordings can tell us now? But in any case it's not going to be easy ..

And Mika must be quite upset about that, especially since he seemed to really like her .. In any case it is a pity that it ends like that ..:(

This is sad news. Sad news for her affecting her whole life and sad news for Mika's team and puts him in a very difficult situation as a coach (and gives him extra worries now when he's finally supposed to be focusing on making music). The production just has to deal with it and to replace her, it's quite complicated,  and he has to handle the situation.

The old calendar info should all still be there. If you look at the main calendar page, in the upper left you'll see "All Calendars." Pull down the drop-down menu and select "Mika Gig Archives" then use the "Jump to" feature to the right of that to select the dates you want to see. I think everything is still there. :thumb_yello:

Oh this is brilliant!!!! I totally thought we lost them when the system changed. Thank you so much :flowers2:

Do you use the "activity" feature? It can show unread content, and you can sort it all sorts of ways. I love it and use it all the time!

Sometimes I access MFC on my phone, and rarely (if ever?) does that side bar w/ hot topics, birthdays, etc show up. That could be an issue addressed if we do a survey like Mellody mentioned.

Actually, I just randomly discovered "activity" feature yesterday while checking something with my mobile. Maybe I should use it. I'v been a member 10 years and always done things the same way. I come here almost daily to quickly check if anything new. If it's gig time I directly go and check the gig threads, of course. If there's new music I see the song threads. Otherwise, like these days, I just go to see the news. And I'm so stuck with these habits that rarely see anything else so I often miss interesting topics. But that's just because I'm used to do things like that, there's nothing wrong with mfc. The only thing I really miss is the old calendar events. They disappeared at some point, didn't they, and would be so useful to be able to check some old dates.

I also want him to do music.   But your passion is deeper than mine.  I just want him to do Something.

Ah, documentaries.  Another great idea.  As is teaching.  What an excellent instructor he would be.  I would LOVE to take  songwriting workshop with him.  Or even see him do an in depth lecture.  Someone stop me.  I am making myself dizzy.

Oh yes documentary is the correct word (but I hope my sentence made otherwise sense)! Too many possibilities for him indeed.

  5. I so much want to think he's doing music again. I love the thought of him writing music, just thinking of him creating makes me excited. I can almost picture an image of it in my head and feel the excitement in my stomach. I don't even care when the album is ready, just a thought of it makes me happy. And I let myself to dream about a few gigs after it's out. Not even tours, just gigs. And I actively remind myself that he probably has many other plans as well. Both dreams and plans. I could see him doing documents. I mean, I would like to see him talking about music and not only talking but also being filmed. I love it when he's talking about music, it's so his area. And I love it when he meets people like he did with the shepherd and the retired singers during Casa Mika. He seemed so genuinely interested in and touched by their stories.

  6. I really hope that MFC will stay as a forum even it's not so fashionable anymore, I like this form. For me the hardest part is always finding important new threads but I think I'm the one to blame, not the forum and its structure. I'm so stuck with my own habits that I can't see things even I look at them at the front page. I saw only now there's a list of "hot topics" and found this thread and it was started on Tuesday already. I'm used to check only "news" because that part feels most important and lately I've checked also members area hoping to see updates about the Yearbook (but I saw your answer Deb, Mika hasn't even received the book yet). Somehow I'm almost blind to everything else. However, MFC is the place where I come whenever I need any information: lyrics, subtitles, facts, anything. Usually I always find what I need, I like it that some of those threads are pinned and that way easy to see :thumb_yello: I would love it if MFC as Mika's official fan club could be the place where to find news first but I do understand why it can't happen and that someone always leaks before his team is allowed to confirm anything.

It's really nice to see a fan who cares about her idol first rather than whether she's going to have an album or a concert.
     You're a good empathic person, Nina! :wub2:

And you did another great blog review! :flowers2:

Awww, that's a nice thing to say, thanks for reading my blog! And of course it would be lovely to get new music or a gig but I can't rush it or can I... I just hope he now has time to give some thought to the album, at least there's a couple of months break with the Voice :thumb_yello:

I never think him as my idol btw. For me idol means something different. I do respect him a lot of course, as an artist and as a person,  and his music is my daily inspiration :wub2: But I like to see him human, he doesn't need to be perfect.

  8. Thanks @Melyssa and thanks for being once again so endlessly patient with me :flowers2:  It was an entertaining day indeed, actually I didn't feel really tired even in the end and it tells something, it was a long day. The songs were really well chosen. Well, maybe not for that one guy who totally ignored the lyrics/story in his singing or for the last battle which was a true nightmare  :naughty: but otherwise, yes and they showed many contestant in a different light than the audition songs which was interesting.

The only reason I hoped everything to be soon over was seeing how awful Mika felt... He is good at hiding his uncomfortable feelings but this time he couldn't hide his headache so it had to be exceptionally bad and I felt so sorry for him. For that reason I felt sorry also to see he had forgot something and had to return to the studio area where a lot of people were still saying good byes to each other.  He came to say good night inside the studio because he really didn' want to stop outside (he specifically said that) and it was amazingly kind from him that he came.

Well now he can have a little break and then work for the album, finally. Such a lovely thought

I haven't ordered from that Dutch website but I asked them about the shipping on FB and they told me it would be € 18,50. I don't speak Dutch but could it be possible that those extra money in the original order was VAT (tax)? Because I noticed that many of these websites show prices without VAT. And those prices for the boxes seem to be quite cheap.

I thought the same later, that maybe there was a tax included and no shipping in my original order but I can’t see it separated in the confirmation so I can’t check. Generally I think these limited edition boxes are very reasonably priced especially considering how pretty they are :wub2:

Did either of you (or anyone else who tried to order from this Dutch site) get an email saying something like this:

"Thank you for ordering the Mika Pilot limited edition pens. Unfortunately we have no shipping options to foreign countries included in the payment options on our webshop. It is possible for us to send your order but therefore you need to pay the additional shipping costs. You can pay the costs through the following link."

They want me to pay like 24 more euros!! i thought i already paid for shipping >.< it's gonna cost nearly $100 total... perhaps i should scale back my pen order :(

Yes I got the same email, for me the extra cost was 18 euros or something like that. Quite a lot considering there was something extra added in the original order already (I thought that was for shipping) but it was stressful to find an online store delivering my country so I just paid using the link.

    Hi!

I have an important question about Mika Twitter's account.

Some people told me that was not himself who likes and posts tweets but a special team.

That I was naive to believe he was himself that liked my tweet...

    Is it true?

If it is, I would be very disappointed...

I have always thought he's sometimes using it himself and that sometimes someone from his team is using it. Well obviously some tweets are purely promotional and sometimes I just wonder who is using his account. If he has liked my tweets I have hoped it was him because that would be such a nice thought... But I don't have any real information, sorry.

  12. Just as an update, I contacted Pilot Pen in Sweden and they told it's unlikely they will sell any of the gift packages in Nordic Countries (it wasn't sure yet but I wouldn't hold my breath). However, some pens might be available even in Finland. I hope there will be other possibilities to buy those boxes.

Today I spoke to the sales manager at Pilotpen Norway.  He said he wasn't sure if the boxes would be sold in all countries, but promised  to what he could to get me this Limited Edition item :thumb_yello:  We can search for our own countries,  on top of the right side of the link.  If I do for Finland, I get this adr.: info@pilotpen.se - so it looks like it goes via Sweden :dunno: I hope you succeed in your search for this new MIKA treasures :wub2:

Thanks a million ladies, for giving us the right links! :flowers2:  And good luck to everyone! :wink2:

    Love, love

    me

Yes I saw the same, it looks they don't have any representative in my country. But maybe I will write to the Swedish address and ask for more information.

I don''t know if they are in gift boxes but they ship outside of Italy. Try to ask them in an e-mail, they reply very quickly and in English

Thanks, I will do that :thumb_yello: I don't think they will sell those boxes in every store even in France or Italy...
