I don't think anyone doubts your good intentions and I, for one, would love to see this initiative succeed. I don't even think there's anything wrong in politely asking Pilot if they would consider donating some of the profits. However, I think what some of us are concerned about is that in your previous post you said: "So far we haven't gotten a reaction from the company, despite tweeting a lot, but we will not give up, we hope for a reaction". This sounds like people are sending Pilot lots of tweets about this, which could annoy them and make them think twice about working with Mika in the future. When they made a deal with him, they were obviously hoping to make a profit (because that's how businesses operate), and they're not required to donate any of it if they don't want to. If they do, that's great, but being flooded with donation requests from his fans probably won't help the cause and might even hurt Mika's future business prospects.

This is well explained! I didn't mean my original comment to sound bitter at all. It's just better be careful. Companies can react well to ideas like this but they can also think it's extra pressure or even negative publicity to them , their charity work needs to be carefully considered and included in their business plan. And Mika is already doing a lot of good as we all know :wub2: The intention is good, I don't doubt that at all.

I also think it´s a business thing and it won´t make it easier for him to find sponsors for his projects when they have to fear to be bothered.........

This was my thought. I can't know anyone's reactions in this particular case but if I was the one doing business with him I wouldn't be pleased.

  3. This looks like a collaboration for my taste because I write a lot and use a huge amount of pens  :thumb_yello: Trying to follow this thread to find out where to buy these as soon as they are available.

But I think this is a business deal and has nothing to do with charity? Because I saw some tweets earlier and found them confusing.

  4. Maybe he's there for a private gig or something. I mean it's not his official summer holiday or birthday or Christmas Day so it's hard to imagine he's there only for skiing :naughty: Anyway, I love seeing videos of Mika in the middle of snow, he does look relaxed

Edit: I noticed only now the earlier pic was from 2016. Maybe he is there just to meet people and spend some time? That would be amazing! It gives me stress to only think how much he works, lol!

I have to say that I'm a bit dissapointed. After the last episode of this season I expected much more (especially because it was the last one!). Of course there was a lot of beautiful moments but still I felt that there was missing something.  As much as I like Fedez and the scenes with him, there was too much of him. I even think that Mika could sing less :sorry:. I have the impression that they didn't have an idea for the guests and how to put them in the program.  It also didn't touched me that much like the last season. I'm not saying that this season was bad but it was different and I'm cool with that :wink2:

I think they simply had some bad luck with guests this year. The schedules are always tight and some guests cancelled etc. so it was just hard to put everything together and from that point of view it was good to have Fedez for the last episode even he's not my taste either, he's still quite popular. Having more impressive guests would have obviously brought more audience. Probably it just didn't work out. I think he did the right thing doing more himself instead of adding more lame guests. I really loved the performances he did for 3rd and 4th episodes :wub2:

  6. Totally agree about One Of Us, his version is so much better than the original! I wouldn't listen to this song without his voice... I love it when he's singing like this. I liked the Italian part, it made it different. I don't know if the Italian version existed or if it was written only now but it was new to me of course.

  7. Eriko you are a star offering us all this, thank you so much :flowers2:

I almost can't handle the performances we got with this third episode, so special!!!! :wub2::wub2::wub2: I especially love the covers, something new and so incredibly pretty with his voice, I almost can't believe we have these clips. I've clicked One Of Us so many times that I'm worried the page will tell me I'm not allowed to do it anymore, that I'm over my limit or something... I can't even estimate how many times I've heard it today. I saw the recording for it and knew the moment he started it will be one of my very favorite moments this season.

  8. Watching the first episode again with subtitles... A huge thank you to the whole Subtitling Team, can't believe how amazingly fast you were with these!!!! :flowers2: This year I could follow the show in Italian much more easily than last year, it was a surprise to myself too, but of course I miss a lot of details and especially long monologues are too difficult. With or without subtitles, I can't understand why such a big role for Luciana. I really can't understand, it's a total mystery to me. Her speech before WAG was meaningful but Italian people hear the message rather from her than from Mika?? Loved watching WAG again, it was really emotional at the recordings to hear him doing it, especially the lovely intro and ending, made me feel like being at his concert  While watching it on the screen I kind of hoped they would have built a bedroom and made him dance on his bed like in the video (or maybe the dance group if not him), would have fitted with the house theme. Love AOW, can't stop watching it. Definitely one of the best parts of the whole season.

Sadly figures aren't good: 1.800.000 viewers (9% of share) against more than 3.000.000 (14% of share) last year. Champion's league match, a very followed fiction on Rai 1 and Halloween didn't help. Press comments are quite positive about him and the show, but some journalists don't like Luciana Littizzetto at all and keep saying that she isn't suitable for the show. We will see how next episode goes, but I'm not very optimistic because there will be the last episode of the fiction on Rai 1 and also because there are some people that, despite liking Mika, don't want to see the show only because they don't like Luciana Littizzetto at all. It seems that Luciana's presence is doing more harm than good to the show. :tears:

And her role is big, she takes a lot of space. I was hoping the numbers were not so high simply because of timing (as you explained). Hope they will go higher next week.

Thanks Cath and Eriko for posting! :thumb_yello: Finally someone is writing about his television work from this point of view. It's a huge possibility, not just something postponing his next album (even it's taking his time of course). It's something way too big to limit it only in Italy. He must have a dream to do his own show in English at some point.

I do wish people could hope for the best outcome for Mika, and try to understand how complicated the situation is.   He doesn’t just pick music, record an album and tour.   Who knows, he might be missing the good old days too.  But he was always destined to change many, many people’s lives through living out his own.  It’s a rare, dangerous yellow brick road that would scare the hell out of me.  I wish him luck, peace and happiness as he goes.  I will be watching from a nearby tree.

Many good things are happening all the time. He still has the same impact on my life as he had ten years ago. Every single day.

Well, as a journalist you can assume that the info found on the artist's official website is correct. And if Mika's team can't be bothered to update that properly, it's not the journalist's fault. :dunno: They probably don't have the time to do a detailled research on every X Factor assistant coach who will appear on TV for only one evening, so I don't blame them for relying on the info on Mika's official site.

I agree, journalists should be able to rely on the official site. I mean, it annoys me a lot that many journalists don't do their research at all (and we can see that all the time), but if they do check the official site and trust the information there, we can't really blame them any more.

  12. I like that pic, he looks really good and fresh. It will be so nice to hear him speaking English for a change! I wouldn't watch any of these talent shows without him, of course not, but must say they seem to be good steps for his television career (which, in turn, he seems to want). It's hard to believe Rai giving him his own television show without his experience from XF and The Voice.

I'm so happy about this! I gotta grumble though. I feel like it's only when you know a subject inside and out and are able to catch minor errors that you realized how poorly researched news stories can be! "Mika also landed a cameo role as a hairdresser in Zoolander 2." well ACTUALLY...

I feel like this writer of this article didn't quite do their research into the details of that one hard enough.

anyway MIKA SPEAKING ENGLISH I'm ready

I was soooo annoyed when I saw the article!!! :sneaky2: Really, they couldn't bother check any facts??? I mean this is all they could say about him??

Any way, he will be speaking English :wub2: He will be good at it. And this is a minor role so hopefully it doesn't take too much time from his other commitments.
