  1. @ Wonka : :lmfao:

congrats girls! :biggrin2: i just thought today whether it would make sense to start a "mfc brides" thread for those who'll be getting married in the near future (or got married recently), since i'll be getting married soon too! :teehee: and obviously i'm not the only one! :wub2:

Oh congrats to you too ! :naughty::huglove:

Well I think it's a very good idea to start a "mfc brides" thread ! I'm in ! :thumb_yello: And that'd be really interesting to see the traditions in different countries.

    welcome back Deb! :bye:

Thank you Marina :huglove: I haven't seen you were a mod now, (so is Melody), so congrats to you girls :thumb_yello::huglove:

  2. Thanks for sharing ! :huglove:

To be honest, even if I adore that song, I wondered how it could suits the radio, but they made very good work with the edit ! :thumb_yello:

It suits perfectly for radio, and it's very nice to listen. Maybe this version is more easily catchy for a no Mika fan than the album one.

I really like it :wub2: Especially the fact we hear more his voice.

Hope this version will release as the 3rd single in France in a few months, I'm sure it would work !

  3. Oh, trust me -- I can just about manage "porquoi tu gaches ta vie" and "danse danse danse". I can't even pretend to sing anything else! :naughty:

Oh Deb, I would love to hear that... ! :mf_rosetinted:

I know I am a little bit late to express myself about the songs, but, well, it's better late than ever !! :naughty:

Anyway, I never was a huge fan of Elle me dit, so I was worried about Mika singing in French, but Karen and especially this one are just :wub2:

When he strated his show in Nantes and Paris with that song, I was  I think the lyrics are really great and deep and the piano/voice is outstanding :wub2:

Thank you Mika and Doriand for this gift :wub2:

  4. Congrats on the wedding, Deb!:huglove:

    Thank you Wonka :huglove:

As far as if we need something from you,we do, we need you to send Mika back to the UK for the promo...:naughty:

Do whatever you need to to expell him from there...:mf_rosetinted:

    :lmfao:

*thinking about how much it could cost to put him in a box and mail him to Uk... :fisch::wait:*

I wish I could :teehee: it's all in our interest too, cause I would have the chance to look more videos and listen more audios of his promo ! :naughty:

Some French fans will see him next saturday, on this "Virgin Radio Fans" thing, I don't go but maybe you could ask Melgine if she could do it because she won the contest :aah::naughty:

  5. Peugeot upload 2 pics on their facebook.

    Wow... That's wonderful :wub2:

    From twitter:

@pandora217 Don't worry, the video is coming soon!

    5 december 12 om 9:49 [/color]

    Can't wait !!! :fisch:

Well, I just wanted to say that's very interesting to read all your point of view, guys, and to read how you feel to support Mika in other countries, and how the situation is. I so love the MFC for that.

To be honest, I really didn't think the sellings were "that" bad  Can we found some numbers of the sellings of TOOL, since september ?

We are so lucky he is doing quite well in France, that I didn't think it was that difficult abroad. France still really loves him. Everybody finds him nice, clever and charming. And I assume the fact he loves France so much is explaining a part of that success here. Proof with "Elle me dit" which was a huge hit last year. And his last tour was sold out. :thumb_yello:

But, I am quite surprised that the album doesn't have more sellings in France. The reviews were very good, and he made quite a lot of promo in september. Certainly, he received a prize "Disc of Platinium" because he already sold 100.000 copies in France but I saw TOOL isn't in the Top 50 anymore since last week, whereas TBWKTM was still in the top 25 in 2009 after the same number of weeks... Hope he will sell at least as much copies of TOOL than TBWKTM...

I really hope Underwater, which is the new single in France, will help to increase the sellings ! Well, they start to play it on radios, so that's a good start ! :thumb_yello:

Rose, when you talk about the single which isn't really out, you want to say that you can't buy it physically ? Cause for Underwater, it's the same here, we only can buy it in digital...

  6. Hi! Well... I played at VirginRadio's contest on FB and... i'll have an answer tomorrow but i'm sure to be first!!!!!! :biggrin2:

So i won the travel, the hotel, a meeting with Mika and the best to the end : i'll go on the stage with him and he'll give me the price for the best fan! (i never called myself like this. That's VirginRadio's contest :naughty: )

BTW I'm SO SO SO Happy ! I can't believe it! I can't wait to have an email or a call of Virgin Radio to be very sure!

This is the first contest of my life I win! And this is a contest about Mika so i'm more than happy!!!!

I promise, i'll write my BEST report for you!!!!!

ps : sorry if my english is bad but that's late in France :naughty:

    Super Virginie ! :thumb_yello:

Happy for you ! I didn't know there were actually fans I knew who tried hard ton win that contest. :teehee: You should have many friends on Facebook then ! :thumb_yello:

Well, I'm happy it's a "real" fan that won that thing (I mean, not just someone who liked "Elle me dit" and have plenty of friends on Facbook to have many clics ) ! I'm sure you'll show a great image of us, Mika fans :thumb_yello:

Good luck, enjoy, and we will watch you on TV ! :naughty:

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go. I was on a cloud yesterday and I had to get down to earth. I'm offering the tickets to whoever can pick them up in Marseille. I received a mail saying they had received my confirmation. I think I'll receive them tomorrow or on Thursday. I don't know yet if there"ll be my name on them. I asked them. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Oh, so sory to read that :huglove:

Du coup, me revoilà ! J'avais pensé quitté il y a quelques mois le "French Rep" job, mais j'ai été reboostée :fisch:

Donc me revoilà par ici !!

  8. Thank you Dani for the nice pics :wub2: :wub2:

I think just playing in this legendary venue, he just could not say no. this is a kind of culmination. acoustics of this venue is simply outstanding. if we add to that he played on an impressive piano, artistic aspects is much more prevalent than we think. anyway, I understand the reactions, but I can still understands better why he wanted to play in a venue as genial. and if he is paid for it, is even better (he's still paid for the concerts he gives, and as it's not for totalitarian regimes, it does not bother me any more than that)

You have a good point here :wink2: Indeed, this venue is really special :wub2:

By the way, I totally understand you Rose, how frustrated you could be. Maybe he isn't promoting enough his new single and music in the UK... But I was wondering : is it really his job ?

I mean, of course, he could use twitter that way, as he does sometimes. But isn't it his record company who should do the job ? To find TV show where he could appear, to make radio appointment, etc ? :dunno:

I don't know, I have maybe no idea of how the music industry works, but in France when he does a promo thing, Barclay France tweet about this, when he does a show, his tour promotor (Alias) do tweet about that, etc. The same in Italy with Universal Music, they did great job promoting Mika the other day...

Maybe there is a problem somewhere, but it might be to big for us to understand right now :dunno:

  9. I've just seen this mail. I'm soooo happy. Hope I'll manage to go.

    > Bravo vous avez gagné* deux places pour assister au concert VIRGIN RADIO en

    > présence de MIKA ce samedi 8 décembre.*

    > Vous recevrez les infos ainsi que vos billets physiques par courrier, merci

    > donc de me renvoyer dans les plus bref délais votre adresse postale .

The mail is from barclay universal music, a contest organized on twitter.

Can somebody who is going tell me more about this event? I think it's only two tickets. I have to buy the train tickets and find a hotel.

    Congrats girls ! :thumb_yello:

Well, Karine, it indeed says it's for 2 tickets.

We don't really know more about the event, except that it's a ceremony in which the singers or bands will reward their fans. There will be songs performed, some videos of fans and the artists, etc.

So it's on the 8th of december, and it will be aired live on the french channel : D17 !

By the way, a French fan asked on Facebook at Virgin if Mika confirmed he'll attend to the evening, and they answered yes !

  10. I think he's going where he's asked in the first place, maybe collecting as much more money he can to go on doing what he likes.

    but...what does he like? :fisch:

    Yes, I think you're right :wink2:

That must have been a very special event and the design of the piano looks very impressive!!

Found this link from @mentholine2004 who was there

Both performances are amazing:wub2: and the audience sounds pretty enthusiastic too!! Wish we get to find Vive le vent, I adore the way he sung it on that Christmas cd last year!!

    Thank you Louiza :huglove:

Oh the piano sounds "huge" !

You're right, the audience seemed to have fun ! :thumb_yello:

Hope we'll have some vids :wub2:

  11. Thanks for the news !

    The pics are gorgeous... :wub2:

He did vive le vent?! Aaaah.... I would have loved to seen this one. Thanks for the pics!

Oh yes, I would love too :wub2:

    It's weird... indeed

I thought he was back in LDN... I guess he's spending teh whole week in France as he has got the Virgin gig on Saterday

Lots of French fans weren't aware of it and are mad at the few fans that knew about it... :'/

As Rose said, he probably just came for that event. London is so close to Paris

But french fans shouldn't be mad... It was certainly something private for Peugeot, it's not the first time he does such events we can't attend to :teehee:

I hope so too... I think he has done far enough promo in France for this year...

    It's UK's turn :thumb_yello:

Well, it's not really a promo thing but more a private event. He still can do promo in the UK , even today :wink2:

This piano is so wouaw :fangurl: I love the design!!

It would have been so nice to see mika performing this evening, maybe someone managed to film a little part of the gig

    Yes, I hope so :wub2:

  12. Hello Guys, :blush-anim-cl:

Well, I wanted to post you, world rep fellows, a message to say I'm sorry I wasn't around for the last year... :fisch:

I'm sorry I didn't came often, I was very busy in real life with new job oportunities, life with fiance (and wedding on the way :blush-anim-cl:), new home, new everything ! I know, it's not a reason, I should have come here to warn Silver and you guys, but didn't. I even should have ask someone to be deputy representatives during these times.

But I wanted to tell you I'm back...:blush-anim-cl: I attended to 2 amazing gigs last months which made me come back to Mikalandia again :wub2: Not that I was away, but maybe I needed to step back from the fans world, to come back with envy and happiness now.

So don't forget I'm around, if you need anything related to France, don't hesitate to ask me :teehee::wink2:

Hope you all are fine. :huglove:

    See you soon dear MFCers

  13. I don't think he is getting any sh*t about these last gigs of the tour at all  Not from the people who were really there! I wasn't in Nantes but I was in Bordeaux day before and the response was very positive. Many people even said it was the best show they had seen. And I have seen many shows and I really enjoyed the Bordeaux gig and thought it was a good one, even his voice wasn't as strong as it usually is. I could see he was tired in the end (so I understand the situation must have been stressful for his whole team) but the audience loved him!

The same for Nantes, I only read good reviews of the show, which was really amazing :thumb_yello::wub2: One of his best gig I've ever attended, and I don't mention my personal experience that made that gig even more special :wub2: but only the Mika part !

    :wink2:

  14. To be honest, I have never trusted the NRJ Music Awards.... And it's not only because Mika did not get in this time... Even before, the way they pick artists has always been fishy... And we can also see that the same people often win :mf_rosetinted: (Check Jennifer, Palmas, Mylène Farmer...)

I hope Mika'll get nominated for "Les victoires de la Musique", like last year ;)

I trust this competition far more than this one :thumb_yello:

Of course, you're right, but it's always nice to see him attend this evening :huglove: He is always smart and it's a nice occasion to see vids of him performing a song.... :blush-anim-cl: But I guess he won't be there this year :sneaky2:

Well, I'm not that surprised...he takes part to the "Virgin Radio Fans" thing which is the concurrent of NRJ

Anyway, I will never understand NRJ : he released one song in 2011 (Elle me dit) and was nominated and won the "Best international male artist" in 2012... And in 2012 he releases an album and nothing... :aah: Well.... :/
