  1. Sorry but...forgive for what I'm going to say.

You seem to be kinda strange or particular, Pam. I mean, you seem nice, then you seem not nice, then you seem to be too much sarcastic, one day you criticize Mika on MS, one day you truly love him.

I noticed some weeks ago you speak French. I've seen you here for a while and I didn't have the slightless idea. You don't have a Myspace, or Facebook or whatever, you don't talk about yourself, and if you don't want to do it, great, I can accept that, it's not mandatory...

...but don't blame other users to want to know more about you when you're not showing your personal self :wink2:

I even thought you were a troll when I first met you. I know now you're not, but seems to be the only thing I know for sure

PS: It's great Freddie checked your profile. You know, he's a mod, he has to control that everything you do is Ok

    oh excuse me !!!

think whatever you like but just know one thing:

im showing my personal self- as you call it- all the time, ive been and am myself all the way, the way i am here is the way i am...

i just wont comment the rest... i dont know why you decided to be so personal- judgemental...

EDIT: i just received that on my new profile

    ha! guess who's here?

MFC is a social place. If you don't want to be social, go to your bedroom and close the windows

    just deal with it, Pam

i find it very UNSOCIAL and insulting

    P.S.

romis its not because i dont talk to you or people like you that im not social, dont spam my page again , thank you

  2. i logged in to see the new profile stuff and... i dont see the use of showing which thread someone is browsing or WHO is VISITING -is that the word?- our profile...i personally never check anyone´s profile unless i have a doubt about the age of a person. if this person is under eighteen or not- so it wont affect me in that way, no one will see my name on their page but im not that glad that some people who are not my friends openly check my profile

  3. I don't think that you're right here- The other day I tried to get tickets to see The Killers and Depeche Mode, and luckily, succeeded for both.

I was just getting normal general tix, and the shows are in Feb and May 2009. They both sold out in 30 minutes. This was not the hardcore fans, just any fan who wanted to go.

Despite trying when they opened the lines, many people didn't manage to get any tix- If someone had decided to wait til the last minute, they would never get into any gigs. That is just not realistic.

Also, from an organisational pov ,can you imagine organising a gig and not knowing until the day itself or even until opening time how many people (if any!) will turn up?

It's just not practical. Utopic, and not practical or realistic.

we have something interesting there... i agree that many things have changed those last few years, people who go to dominican republic for holidays also go to gigs now and they plan music like they plan everything else, the result of this is " gigs sold out in thirty minutes" and thats why people who used to hang around in gigs moved to...some other places...

i decide at the very last minute if i feel like going to a gig or not because i cant plan my moods, there is always a way to go in...

and i never talked about selling the tickets the day itself, i dont know what you are coming up with...i didnt talk about that.

  4. :roftl: Yes I know it's an oxymoron. But I think it's a happy medium because there are some elements in the show that do have to be planned and executed properly to some degree.

I also think that he shouldn't just start a casual chit chat with the audience between Relax and Big Girl or between Love Today and Grace Kelly because it will disrupt a momentum he has going with his energy level and the energy of the audience.

The band gave him flowers at the last Brixton gig - I think just before Happy Ending. And it was already a down period and the string section was moving about, etc. There was room to breathe. But Mika seemed very out of sorts with the unexpected interruption with the flowers and quickly blew the whole thing off and got back to business even though the audience was enjoying the moment.

There are times when he can stop and just chat to the band or the audience or say whatever is on his mind without resorting to a script he's used dozens of times already. Other performers, big and small, do it all the time and Mika has done it in the past. The two things I remember most from the early Toronto show were both unrehearsed topics even if he had planned to stop and speak at some points during the show.

i love the open fly planned trick, how could you take him seriously when you know about that?lmao

  5. You dont like it but that the buisness and that the way it "generally" works.

Im totally for it , fans should get benefits

wow, it sounds like it makes you happy!!thats scaring

we cant be hardcore fans of everyone, and not everything is a matter of "i like" or " i dont like"... if you like diversity you can only be against the whole idea...but if the fact that music becomes a service of entertainment and not some kind of art anymore makes you so happy, AMEN. im for happiness.

  6. I can't speak for U2, Bon Jovi or the Killers but I know members of the Queen fan club pay £18.00 a year to be a member so I guess they deserve all the perks they get. And to be fair they do get looked after very well (pre-sales on tickets, best seats etc) Perhaps this is something MIKA's people should consider.

    thats sad.

im not a communist or anything but because of that kind of fan clubs you have to buy your tickets months in advance, all the spontaneity is lost, you cant possibly have a good place if you are not a hardcore fan= if you dont pay for it and if you decide to go on the last minute, i dont like the whole idea, its like belonging to a community, it sucks, music becomes a service of entertainment and not some kind of art anymore...im absolutely against it.

  7. Surprisingly enough I do partly agree with you on this: in an ideal world we should just be happy with the music and the gigs. After all, that's Mika's job, he "owes" us nothing more.

But like FD said, what was the point making us official then? (and he had no gun pointed at him when he bought us, imo) When you decide to do something, you don't stop halfway. Other official fanclubs do have perks, we get barely nothing. I don't like begging, but asking sthg gently doesnt hurt. If he tells us to sod off, fair enough.

its not just the gigs and music...you have much MORE, you have MS, the blogs, the meet and greet, wow, thats a lot, dont you think??

when i see all the links on MS about the MFC, i feel a bit ashamed, its like kind of disrespectful to me, he knows this place already, if he wants to come or do anything about, he knows how to do it...

  8. This is rubbish ......

    For fanclubs this IS expected

Whats the point of having a fanclub then?

OK ..we are a forum then and dont expect ...

why are you acting so rubbish?

basically the point of having a fanclub was to be connected a little bit more to Mika, then time has passed and Mika has chosen to be connected to his fans through different places (MS)...so now yes, this place is a forum where people can chat based on the liking of Mika, it makes sense to me

  9. Maybe i sounded harsh, but it irritates me to see how some dishonest people use what they get via promo-deals to make money out of fans. Same thing with ticks, autographs, demos etc etc.

aaawww the poor little fans who dont have any free will

come on , no one is poiting a gun at anyone to FORCE them to buy anything

and yes i care to xplain because i hate to xplain, its just that MFC is everywhere, always running, asking , craving, waiting for a bone or a sugar like a dog and imposing itself all the time, i think its too much, thats how i feel it. you have the meet and greet, you have MS to interact and also the gigs and an email address to send your questions, isnt it enough, really??

  10. Maybe we could start brainstorming and come up with some ideas the admins could submit to the management. I know some bands organise online chats, for example, anything else you guys can think of?

i honestly think it would be pushing it too far, if you dont want to disgust him of that place i suggest you to forget about it, but of course thats personal, if the majority think the opposite, nothing or no one will stop you from doing it im sure.

  11. blogs on here?

Sorry I have a major issue with this official thing which gives absolutely nothing for us. The blog is not a perk for the fanclub, that's just a blog for everyone.

im too lazy to write today but....

i just personally have enough with mikasounds, i dont feel people come here to have something more (and what this more would/could be, i have no idea btw)

i think you already have your mfc meet and greet stuff, isnt it enough?

this place is paid and safe, what more can you ask for?

  12. Ah I see, so you're the one losing it! :naughty::wink2:

No I said I partly agreed with what Allegra said, which is the truth.

As for the rest, I honestly don't give a damn about this all affair but I felt like - in this very social-controlled world or whatever - I had to say what I thought of buying these things on ebay. :naughty: I'm sure BE took it into consideration, but maybe some folks here won't and will jump on the first parc des princes DVD they see out there without thinking.

thats what i dislike in you, you always think you are the only one to think

...and its a socio-political controlled world, i insist on the right term to use for once

yeah at babs i like young greeders too, lol, i couldnt chose, used them both

sariflor, i didnt no what mika said with the ebay autographs but lol and thats exactly what i meant, i heard many singers saying the very same, it would be stupid to think they dont know when they are the very first to know

  13.

I'm just saying we shouldn't encourage or give our money to people who are using their position in the industry to make profits using fans who are a bit too keen to see the DVD before anyone else.

people are responsible for themselves and they know what they do, they dont need to be told whats right or not especially not for the moment in this repressive socio-political climate

  14.

I doubt mika is aware these copies are to be found on ebay. It'd be very naive to think artists know these kind of things, everything's in the hands of their management, including the choice of the persons who get the dvd as a primeur, and I doubt universal peeps are spending their time on ebay. As Deb said, we will inform Jerry of what's going on. As mods, that's basically all we can do.

all the artists are quite aware about it. if mika wouldnt be then he would be the only one, singers are always joking about ebay, nver heard? its very well known.

    caz, i know:wink2:

  15. But Rose, it isn't before the internet, it is the age of the internet and the stuff is out there. That's just how it is.

    LOL

Rose come on , dont be retrograde, you speak like very old people "when i was young, before the internet..., in the good old time when i used to write with my blue royal feather...", lol
