I worried for a long time that atheism was simply negative, and that if we abandoned religion we would not be able to replace it with anything positive. My boss at work is a Humanist - I read their website http://www.humanism.org.uk/site/cms/ and found that I agreed with a lot of what they said. Their website states

"Humanism is the belief that we can live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs. Humanists make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values. We seek to make the best of the one life we have by creating meaning and purpose for ourselves. We take responsibility for our actions and work with others for the common good."

    and they also say

"Humanism encompasses atheism and agnosticism ‑ but is an active and ethical philosophy far greater than these negative responses to religion. "

There is a lot more on the site that, to me at least, makes a lot of sense.

philosopically talking im a nihilist, i think humanism is partly something people who needed something to replace religion are into, ive been thinking for a long time that i was a humanist but thats not right, im a pure nihilist, add to that that sometimes you can state transcendental states, there is something related to transcendance into this world, black magic works, but the term of black magic itself discredit the whole thing oh and humanists are sometimes very interventionists, they think they can change the world in a positive way, which is a lie, i refall easily in that lie sometimes btw.but of course the whole thing is deeper than that. only sex and art are higher. thats what i think-

    -Objective morality does not exist.

-No action is logically preferable to any other in regard to the moral value of one action over another.

-In the absence of objective morality, existence has no intrinsic higher meaning or goal.

-There is no reasonable proof or argument for the existence of a higher ruler or creator.

-Even if a higher ruler or creator exists, humanity has no moral obligation to worship them.

The Puppet and the Dwarf: the Perverse Core of Christianity

nice title, im off to find it

  2. I tend to comment on his blog because usually I have a lot to say about everything...

Why not? I am just being honest. And I don't feel the need to "hold an image" or not go "down to fan level" or anything like that....I see no issues with that.

The reason why I comment? Quite simply, and I guess the same reason as 99% of people who do it: in case he reads it.

Of course I'd like for him to read it, otherwise I wouldn't write it! Why I would like him to read it though has a more complex answer and I think that I already wrote enough here so I'll leave it for now.

me too...i used to write him novels at the beginning but then....i stopped.

i probably thought that i was saying some essential Xhit, lol (whats wrong with that anyway)

i think the lack of feedback in general makes you feel like commenting god´s blog

and about "WhY would i like him to read my comments", can you actually answer? in my own case i can answer this very easily but this is really too narcissist and useless to tell, but id be interested to read other people answers.

for instance like 1 hour ago i was in a disc shop and the music played on was fleet foxes, someone asked the girl who that band was and i thought of our beloved bastard, its weird/sick to know the tastes of someone when this person doesnt know anything about you, you dont think so?

  3.

I would love to hear why someone is making comments, I’m sure there are some reasons that are new for me and I’m honest, I’m not kidding or being sarcastic about this!:thumb_yello:

i comment his blog because i want to make people laugh or smile

(i know its pretentious, i know)

  4. what do you mean pam? Like a second personality?

lol...i may not be at the right place to describe that that way,lol

i dont know exactly, i mean like yeah all the deep sarcasm or the bad words disappear but ABOVE ALL i feel like people are telling him personal things when they dont do it here, or something in that vein.

hard to describe exactly but in general i like the comments, i just deplore that people wouldnt try to make jokes instead like the idea i had that we would all stop commenting for five days, lol

i mean people we talk to at night are here, mika is not the one who is discussing here with us at 4 am , so i feel betrayed to see that they seem to be more carful to him than to anyone else here

  5. I have to behave myself on the blog because I told him I'm a mod here. Dumb move. :roftl:

I love that peanut man comment. :lmao:

lol, REALLY dumb, yeah, on the other side he owes you somthing, you tought him/us how to comment...so....

thanks i like the part where i say that he smelled like fish and mayo, i was hesitating with fries and plastic but fish and mayo won,lol

i dont know if he realized it was a bit philosophical though...though im convinced he just read the very first comments

i write for people who reads the blog anyway, i think, lol

  6. at the mo I'm attracted by the opposite.. Far East

    lol

i dont know why i have a problem with far east, do you know the meaning of the cardinals btw?

north : you want to be active

    south: you want to rest

west: you are facing your future

east: you are facing your past

now , it worths what it worths, lol

  7. here is mine, its about realizing love doesnt exist, only sex

    Mika thinks: Xuck it!

    Goes drinking all day

    Nightfall comes around

    Pick himself off the ground

Starts to take loads of drugs

Before starting to look for Xuck

Find some dirty bXXch who will take it

he doesnt even have to pay for it

    Wonders what loves about

Then realizes it all means nough

i saw a contemporary vision of the last supper made by an argentinan artist. that was very interesting, in south america religion is so important and cheap at the same time. im fascinated by south american art.

  9. They're probably just put off because they were sh*t-stirring just for the sake of it and then you took away their reason for complaining.:naughty:

Both of those poems are great, and I especially like the second paragraph of the first one. Funny, how some people are able to follow a version of God they've interpreted as "good and forgiving, as long as you don't piss him off." We were discussing that in my early british lit. class today, how that Anglo-Saxon idea of a great and noble king is one that is dedicated and loyal to his people, but instantly unforgiving and vengeful when insulted or betrayed in any way, and how that idea was juxtaposed onto God when christianity was brought to western Europe. Interesting how that idea has been passed down to parts of modern christians today...seems rather ludicrous to me.

    lmao, you write a lot.

yes, absolutely, many rebellions are symbolic, thats why they put off when you give a REAL solution, they dont really want to change things, they want to lay an act of disagreement. thats very feminine btw.

...for the rest i never really think about that. actually i never really think, lol

about poetry i just read a very long analyse of someone about prose and poetry and ...i really dont know what fascinates me the most. anyway yeah the poems are good but not as good as the christian ones, it will probably take some more centuries, lol

  10. who thinks its pathetic to comment mikas blogs?

i mean most of the time i think of that poem from *love is a dog from hell* he once posted when i read the comments and i dont know...

i feel weird when i read some posts of people i know here, what they write on his blog, i feel like betrayed. and i really wonder who some people are , just by curiosty, its obvious some are from here, som e names that come back eternally

greta, lol. i like cats without hair who acts like dog much more.

  11. We're not allowed to like dead ones? :mf_rosetinted:

i really want to know about those who are alive much more, im really interested in that.

"when you ask some people whats new in literature and the answer is: sartre,

we wait for them to die."

just a quote of one of mine

  12. Aren't they the bright bulbs?:naughty:

Your suggestion was good! Some people just want to cause trouble no matter what.

    supposed to ...

yeah i know, lol, it was a great idea and i was really surprised they didnt seem much interested. and not my style to cause trouble if its not necessary.

btw i found some atheist poetry ,lol, and some poems are great

No sticks and stones have touched my bones,

But words indeed have hurt me.

The taunts and jibes from Smith and Jones,

And those who would convert me.

Whisper the fiery wrath of hell,

And then speak of love sublime.

And how long would it take to tell

How those two things can combine?

Tell me my thought, my will is free

And then say I must obey.

    Explain about eternity,

Which I must choose day by day.

    another one

    One little word

    For all the answers

    One little word

    For all your needs

    One little word

    For all the answers

    One little word

    Get on your knees.

    We are God

    Our creation, the deity

    We are God

    Bow down to humanity

    We are God

    Bow down to me

We don't care about what we can't see.

    We don't mind the contradiction,

    We don't mind the hypocrisy.

  13. A girl can't have too many books. :wink2:

I think a lot of us commented on it on his blog. I know I did , saying that dogs were a big commitment. Maybe that's why he hasn't approved any comments yet, he's reading them and taking note. We can hope, anyway.

And like Sienna, I don't find anything like that remotely funny either.

i strictly agree , its a DOG for heavensakes!!! not some kind of plastic over expensive fashion mascot toy!

and a boy cant have too many books:mf_rosetinted:

  14. oh you're so ahead of the times! :D Or labels..the packaging screams "I'M NEW!" but its the same old soup :winksmiley02:

at least now that everything is studied and classified there will be less discrimination for gender issues..acceptation is the next step or not?

    :floor: :floor:

yeah i had that stuff with shampoo today it said "TRY ME I M NEW" and i was like wtf , same freaking old stuff

asexuality is the next step so acceptation will no be necessary anymore but it will not happen tomorrow...maybe in 100 or 50 years

    tomorrow it will be baylon:mf_rosetinted:

  15. Now that's just silly. If you're going to use that rule, we'd never have a place to party.:naughty:

yeah i know thats why ive spent thirty minutes talking with those people, xplaining them that they would rather collaborate with the people who were creating the event in order to collect some money they could give to associations, but those people were really dumb, they said " i dont know" lol

  16. that what makes me angry with religious people, in particulare the "christian fundamentalists"..why do you have to spoil the others lives, perverted minds?! Fustigate yourself in a dark angle and shut the fk up:mf_rosetinted:

what's the matter with black magic? :kaf:

yeah self sacrifice, autodafé etc. especially if you are a woman, shut the fck up and wear a pull over

oh yesterday i said i refused to talk about a non blogist and christine said: but he did blog and told me he bought books of black magic

it really made me laugh because i thought she was just joking but it was true...

btw i have something that mika wont find in his book, like a prayer you have to read before you go to sleep , written in a weird language, and you have to read it three times (thrices?) , i got it from someone who were doing black magic, i did it and it was awful, it really worked...
