  1. Welcome to MFC you GrazyMoose! Hope you gonna like here:thumb_yello:
  2. Hello! Nice to get acquainted! I'm a bit younger but I think that the age thing doesn't mean anything at all because we can't capture it even when we try hard . I've put it on that way: I am glad I am getting one more year because it means new experiences, meeting new people and stuff like that. It's a bit off topic here, but my great-grandma had lived up to her 99 and she had lots of interesting stories to tell us. I'm proud that I have friends in different ages as I feel it makes my life more valuable. Otherwise I would have been in a total vacuum, I'm afraid
  3. Thanks c@rin@ for your short report. Of course you need some rest. How could I forget that most of you may be with no sleep or have had a very little since Friday. Stupid me! *hopes Asun won't notice my post * Btw I am just thinking how it feels to sing at 3.30 in the morning for thousands when biologically you should have a sleep at that time. Quite tough, ah? Any thoughts about???
  4. Hey! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and don't worry about the pictures as MFCers take pictures of everything as if Mika is close, too :thumb_yello: I think you'll see them soon.
  5. Thanks lillibet! I'm so glad you had a great time And do not let the tour kill you (just kidding). Try to get some rest now. Why "at least it's not " ?? I think it'll be funny if someone smuggles mistletoe on stage and then he accidentally mixes flowers and mistletoe up
  6. Thank you for sharing Kaatje and JoseOle! What time is it in Madrid now? 4 PM? What if they went for a little sailing with Mika & Co and we've supposed to be drying here until ..... they'd be back... maybe only by tomorrow??!! *naughty*
  7. Ok, let's put it on the early morning account, then For me to come to online for chat is a bit tricky, because usually I have time for the forum at night when most people are sleeping already Smth about Estonia??? OK, Estonia is Ice cream mountains and chocolate skies Cinnamon houses and licorice flies :roftl: (as you can see, not that much different from Lebanon )
  8. Asun!!!! Wake up for god sake! You promised to me that I could read about everything here. I've made this afternoon free for gig reports reading and where are you now??? Hurry up, darling. Some people have been waiting since 3.30 and are getting naughty. They've made blow-up of Mika's pants.Do you see?? If you won't hurry-up, I'm afraid someone will repeat David Copperfield's statue disappear thing but with Mika's pants, soon.
  9. Good idea! But what happened to your hi-hi-hi plan? Didn't work?!!! good night!
  10. It's always good to know you are not alone What's your excuse? Mine is: I'm slow and heard about Mika too late. (I'm afraid it is connected to national stuff, you know, we are slow sometimes )
  11. Touristic destination? I don't know. I'm not a right person to ask. Actually i don't care whether it is correct English or not. I caught what you meant. Lebanon is different, the spirit is absolutely different. The most unexpected thing for me was how cheerful Lebanese living in Lebanon are. I was ready that they would be "closed" and perhaps a bit unfriendly too because of the situation they must live every day. But in fact, I was totally wrong. I've been to B018 club, o Lord, what a party that was. People danced on the tables I share your feelings about L.
  12. And of course I know Aley. I don't rember it, but just checked with the map and i have marked that place and then i have marked Bhamdoun, as well. But we just passed those lovely places in the mountains through. Although we were on the road about Lebanon all the time we couldn't go everywhere. We skipped Zahle and other nice places and Beiteddine Palace was closed, too. I don't know why, was it because of winter season or because of the political situation (we 've been there when Arab Convention was held in Damascus) As we couldn't go any concert or take any cooking courses (I read that there was a lovely place near Beirut where you can take cooking courses) and didn't have enough time to soak into Beirut we must go back. Hopefully soon. And it would be so lovely if I could go to Mika's concert there. I have an imagination that in Beirut his gig is not just a gig in the presence of charming fans as in Europe but outside the venue most people don't care. I think - as far I managed to observe Lebanese Beirut's gig will be sort of overwhelming party that won't end when gig is over. I think there will be a lot of M. music heard in the cars driving around and poor Elissa and the other girls like her, then. We call the phenomenon when people get high because of music "a song festival thing" I may be wrong, though. Hopefully not. Anyway, we'll learn that soon. Am I boring you? Go to bed, Dana, sweet dreams!
  13. Hey, not sleepy? Did you follow Mika's gig at Les Francofolies? No , I'm not Lebanese. I'm Estonian, I live far in north . Our neighbours are Latvia, Russia, Finland, Sweden. But I have wanted to go to Lebanon since.... I even can't remember any more since when. In 2000 almost went, booked tickets, etc, but then because of family reasons had to cancel the trip. But it was still itching in me (there were two places I've always wanted to go, Beirut and Berlin, don't ask, why - they just sound so well for me ) ... so that Beirut thing was still itching in me and when I was on holiday in Jordan last autumn and we were sitting with my friends in Wadi Rum desert at night and talked to bedouins who live there about their neighbor countries and then I decided to go to Lebanon in spring. Went back home and started to prepare, book tickets, search info about Leb thru internet and books etc. I didn't know what to expect, I was told that Leb was not like the other Middle East countries, but no one couldn't explain what it means "different"
  14. me too. Did you notice while he was performing a little text "Exclu" (Exclusif??) appeared on the screen. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when the others were on. So, lucky us *Tonight I've been on Mika's gig (first gig ever) with two songs in Les Francofolies La Rochelle *
  15. I see flowers, lots of flowers on the stage!!! Tres Francofolies ou bien tres Mika :roftl:
  16. Merci beaucoup! Watching Yelle and the pic and sound are perfect!
  17. Mercy please! Don't tease me with your taboule and vine leaves stories. I live in a country where you can't buy lebanese food nor even most of ingredients you need to prepare that food. And I was wondering why there were no Lebanese in my country - they would have been starving here But for you: Bon Appetit, monsieur!
  18. Hey DanaCheaib! How are you? I love your pic of Aley and I think that Aishti ad is so cute. Thanks! (I've seen your post but as I read it at work I didn't want to log in to answer because I knew that forum would swallow me again and it won't be OK, because I do have a lot of work to do ) I agree with you that the ad signify the certain person we all know but I believe that it will not be an issue for Mika. He seems to be a person who can make difference. Yesterday I read the interview with Mika of 2006 which Christine had posted and I liked what he said about people's decision making. I can't quote but he said smth like there are people whose only problem is to decide whether to have a capuccino or espresso for their breakfast and then there are people whose LIFE depends on other people's decision and they have no other way than to rely on them. OK, now I went off topic Anyway, I'm not worried about Aishti as according to their prices they must have wealthy clientele. They can pay Mika too Do you live in Aley?
  19. Hi Inma! I'm glad you joined
  20. Excellent report, Em'! You see, you are a natural born gig reporter Thanks.
  21. 18?!! Then you are a phenomenon too. At least in my eyes (as I first heard about Mika .. some.... 18 WEEKS ago Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa )
  22. Hey! I have been away from MFC forums for almost a week but today, finally, got a chance to drop in. Now I don't know on which gig thread to post I want to say thank you for your reports, pics, videos and other stuff. Many thanks for sharing them (and bless people who started this site long ago ) I just keep reading and taking (pure) pleasure I'm happy for French mikafans if the TV thing meant a lot to them. I don't know whether Olga is one of them but must admit she is phenomenon, isn't she? Seems she doesn't know herself how many Mika gigs she had been to. And she is right: who cares whether the number is 18, 19 or 20? Olja, ty prosto prelest, and I envy you because of the freedom you have. And last but not least. Did anyone notice the title they had put to the article? En Attendant Mika. Isn't that brilliant?!! (At least we know that Mika had come when Godot never showed up if I remember right. But the anxious of waiting is same )
