Dutchy: nice story! I don't even know who you are can you imagine that. Hope we'll meet some day. It was indeed me who posted the vid, I asked a security guy if he wanted to film our meet and greet since it is nice to have it on vid if you give something to Mika. The security guy said he couldn't do it since he was busy doing his job but he found another guy who wanted to do it.
I gave Mika the photo book with pictures of us MFC'ers dressed up as Alice in Wonderland characters at the gig in Amsterdam, he seemed very pleased with it. The funniest moment for me was when Mika was in the car, the car drove away and we waved at him. But he was with his nose in the bag with gifts he just got, like a child. All of a sudden he looked up and saw us waving. He looked surprised by it. It was really funny.

Can you say that in English: Thanks for the flowers! Probably not but you'll get what I mean
Yes I get it .

I thought he was taking pics because he didn't move the camera. But now that Mellody mentioned it, it's right, he didn't use flash.
It's so embarrassing to see myself screaming "that was me!" when Jimmy said he liked the make-up On the other hand it was good that he noticed it as everything Mika touched and I was involved with were the last-seconds-parts I did and ended up looking like rubbish (the BG-leg is just one example ). But at least that way I earned this naughty-funny look from Mika I wouldn't know how to provoke otherwise
You've got every reason to be proud, everyone who's been working on it has, it's all very beautiful.

It´s been so funny to see you dance right behind me. And we did a good job during "Kick Ass", didn´t we?
Btw, do you remember which band the bass player was in? I usually have a crush for bass players, LOL.
They must have looked very nice from the back of the audience. I´ve been so busy with them during HE, I hardly saw anything of the song.
*runs off to youtube*
Me too, lol!
i thought the one of dada ante portas was rather cute, maybe monie meant him? (3rd from the right, though i guess it's not the most favourable pic of him )
That's him! Apparently we've got the same taste in men, lol.
I guess I kind of stared at him -finally something nice to see after hours of waiting - when he started staring back at me. I was like: huh, so I looked the other way and then looked back and he too looked back. This happend several times and I must say I kind of forgot about Mika because of it . It made me forget about my sore back and feet too, which was very welcome .
Thanks for the pictures Mellody.

Thank you for your fotos, they have a very special feeling for me. Also your Lollipop video it so great, thank you for doing that. For me it was nice to see you "from face to face" (hope you understand my bad English). Sadly it was not possible for me to chat a lot around.
I have forgotten to say thank you to Nezza and Mariposa. Girls, I was very glad to stand behind you! Only with your help I could hold my 2. line.
The photo's and footage from the gigs one has been too oneself are always special, aren't they. It was nice to see you too .
-
And a few more:
I like the bubbles in the last one, there were lots of bubbles!
-
Nezza!
That cameraman you are describing (the one seated with dolly camera) was a girl!!!
Hahaha! It took Emilie and me a while to figure out whether she was a man or woman as well! So the cameraman was a woman and the big girl was a boy. What a gig .
If you want to look at the big boy closer check out my vid of Lollipop, the whole event can be seen very clearly at the end of the vid.
I'll post some picks:
-
Two remarkable tings – the bad one first: At the middle of DrJohn a "funny" person of the audience (I assume a drunken one) attacked Mika with a small, but bit heavier object cause it has a fast speed and hit him on the left arm. Mika winced to the side but didn't lost his countenance and continued singing (but before the next song he took a very sharp look to this object!). I don't think it hurt him but it was clearly a bad critic on him in an aggressive and primitive way, I felt extremely ashamed by this!
I've missed this completely! Indeed, very rude.
I too missed the usual contact with the audience. This was not his best performance in my opinion (tho professional and his voice was good). It is the little extra that make his gigs so special and it wasn't there this night (tho I think it got better halfway the gig). Still I had a great time, with Emilie and Allegra (and others) next to me doing improvised flash mobs while waiting for Mika, lol.
One of the other bands had a very very handsome bass player. He made me forget my sore back and feet .

My video of Lollipop where you can clearly see how Mika is being hugged and lifted by the big girl/boy. It was very funny!
I'll post some pics later.
I also have a vid of the meet and greet, I'll post it here if anyone wants to, tho it is very dark and you mainly see silhouettes.

(I still have to upload some of them actually , will do it asap )
oh! and i'll be at Wembley!!!!
Nanou, you're a Muse fan as well?
You'll be going to Wembley, amazing!
-
Oooh, I love Muse!
Sing For Absolution, Endlessly, Neutron Star Collision and Thoughts of a Dying Atheist are my favorites.
They've made so many great songs that I can hardly pick a favorite. I like the songs that are yours tho.

muse was absolutely amazing at Rock Werchter yesterday! Matt was wearing a glittery silver suit, and man, the things he did with that guitar are probably illegal in some countries:teehee:
great set, all the big hits, great crowd...great backdrop...just stunning!!
I knew you would love it. They are incredible live, aren't they. Thanks for the pics, they had a beautiful stage (for a festival).

I wasn't fooling. I was serious.

Yep, you have a popular half cousin .
Yes, come back soon! If there isn't a good concert Ingie and I will organize something, we (especially she) are good at that .
-
Awwwwww !!!!! Ill try to get something in return!
Now come on Mika do that 3rd album .. we want to rock dammy again:biggrin2:
Yes, Mika, come to Amsterdam again.
Or Fredster, come when Muse is performing here again, that is an amazing experience too (forgive me for having a slight crush on your half cousin at the moment ).

I know the feeling Black Cinderella, I saw the same show last Saturday. They were in Holland, it was an open air gig with more then 50.000 people. I didn't Q from an early time, tho next time I will, for sure.
The gig was AMAZING. It lasted for 2 hours, the audience went crazy, they were so much better then last November in Rotterdam. It felt like they didn't stop doing encores, I NEED to see them again!
I loved the set, the light shows, the projections. And most of all the music. At a certain point all the people around me sang all the songs with them (and I wasn't at the front), I felt like being part of a huge choir. It was definitely one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I am still in a daze.
-
Wise words
Oh don't let her fool you, if it weren't for you we would just have looked like a bunch of fools (now we looked like a bunch of fools and a Mad Hatter ).
-
Thank you Purple cat .
-
I think Mika's about 500,000 right now. Just estimating:teehee:
Let's put all our savings together then .
-
And a few with shirt:

Wow, only Green Day scored a higher grade in the reviews and Mika comes in second.
Green Day: 8,5
Mika: 8+

They had to pay 1,2 million to get Rammstein to play:shocked:
I wonder what they had to pay Mika. Not as much as Slash, I assume.
Still have a few piccies left:
-
There's been said a lot already and there are some great photo's posted so I will not add much more. Just a few of my favorites (apart from the shirtless pics of course ).
I am not a festival person. Yet I liked the overall experience. Mika was amazing, so were Slash and his band. They were really impressive. I was front row with Miek, great spot. I hated all the pushing, I felt like throwing up at a certain time. But I do not regret going at all.
My WAG vid:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQAMSWBzJWA
edit: I did miss the contact with the other MFC'ers. Apart from Jazzy Miek and I bumped into no one (tho we saw Biekje and Rebecca standing close to us).

I must definitely have seen her then. Unfortunately I can't remember her. But I am sure we'll meet again, at a (Dutch) MFC meeting or at a gig (I'm still hoping Mika will do little performance thingies while he is working on his new album. Against all odds perhaps but still ).
