  1. Freddie asked Andy at the gig if he could forward MFC some of his pics from the gig and I got them today.

Andy mentioned he didn't take a lot of still photos of the tour but he's added some screencaps as well. He also said he "Thought the MFC looked amazing that night in Amsterdam." :biggrin2::thumb_yello:

I don't know if these are all MFCers but I recognize a lot of faces and of course the costumes! (I think the one with the hearts must be Lisbon but it's got Mika in it so I'm posting anyway :wink2:)

I've got the original, larger versions. If anyone wants copies to keep let me know.

Much thanks to Andy for sharing them. :wub2:

And thanks to you for sharing them with us. They are lovely.

The picture with Vicky and me is not amongst them unfortunately, I am sure he took a picture of us since Vicky asked him to :naughty:. "Andy! Can you take a picture of us?" "Sure!" I admired her courage, wouldn't have dared to ask it myself.

  2. I'd really like a copy ... would be nice to have something that shows how great mostly Amsterdam was for me .... :)

Of course you can have one :huglove:. I was afraid the book would be too painful for you, I am glad you have some good memories of those few days.

Here you can get an idea of how it is going to be (it is almost finished, I'll probably make some minor changes):

Please don't mind the music, it is standard Iphoto music, I didn't wanna loose time and energy to put other music with it :bleh:.

  3. I know I kind of said already in the oldlings ... but we got the death certificate today ... and ... cause of death was:

    1a: Pulmanary Emphysema

    1b: Hypothyroidism

    2: Recent Diarrhea Illness

1a - She didn't know about this one at all ... didn't go to the doctors much ... so was never treated - could have treated her for it if she'd known about it ... but then again ... maybe not :(

Because 1b - She knew for years she had this ... I have it too ... but she'd not been to a doctor for a blood test since 2007 ... you're supposed to go every six months ... this contributed to her death big time ... I feel ... furious at her over this ... I know she didn't like doctors ... and certainly not the blood tests ... but you have to go for them ... or stuff like this can happen ... so even if the Pulmanary thing had been discovered ... she probably wouldn't have continued to go to the doctors for that either :(

If only she was here for me to slap .... :tears:

The diarrhea she had that day .. was a factor in her death ... but not the cause ... we think she was panicking - having a bad panick attack ... due to feeling unwell ... and then just couldn't get a breath anymore ... and noone was there to calm her down ... I normally could calm her down if she had one ... she's had them alot lately ... she freaks out big time if she felt she couldn't breath ... so ... that's it really ... I know alot of people have been asking me if I knew what had happened to her .. so I now know ... but it was quick ... she wouldn't have suffered much ... I hope ... I'll never really know though .. will I :(

I don't know exactly what all the conditions you mention mean, I do noticed that you have a condition in common with your mum and that you have to get blood tests every 6 months. Do you get your tests? Apparently it is important.

It is totally understandable how you feel right now. Maybe treatment would have made your mum live longer, maybe it wouldn't have. She lead her life the way she wanted to and obviously that is difficult to accept right now. It was not possible for you to be there every time she needed calming down, if you wouldn't have been at the gig you would have been at work perhaps, you don't have to feel guilty about it (tho I understand that is difficult).

I hope your brothers can give you some support, a big hug from me too :huglove:.

  4. Do you mean this one:

    th_queue.jpg

dont know where Annemaaike's got it from, but this was in our folder!

Folder like in flyer? What kind of flyer? I didn't mean this one but it is a nice one. I already have the photo with the different artists on the board, with Mika as first one.

Thank you people for sending me beautiful pics, I am still waiting for your beautiful drawing Wicky and for your pictures and "patronen" Jojotje. I've made a start with the book and it already looks great :biggrin2:.

  5. How apt :aah:

I didnt like my costume, so I didnt put it on till very late and tried to hide from pix etc, it was a bit uncomfortable lol.

I liked it! I have a picture of you, is it OK if I put it in the book?

Laurel, you were very brave that night and you are brave again, writing your report. I am sure there are moments you feel less brave, that is all right too. It was a surreal situation, it still is. We are thinking of you :huglove:.

  6. I finally got some pics from Milorad, a nice Serbian guy I met at the gig - he is probably also the only one who got pics of me dressed up as the Jabberwocky :biggrin2:

Did you get the pictures in high quality? I would love the picture of you in your costume for the Qbook, if that's all right with you. If it is, I'll PM you my email address so you can send it to me.

Saskia, did you make any pictures of the people in their costumes?

Any one else who wants to contribute to the Q book (I'll post the link here again, just to be sure)?

  7. Can't remember you :mf_rosetinted::naughty:

Me neither, were you dressed up? :mf_rosetinted:

Great idea Monie, I'll try to find some pics!

I made an 'Alice and Wonderland' drawing with Mika on it, maybe you can use it too.

Oooh, your beautiful drawing, yes please, I would love to have it in the book!

Do you know that on other concerts (I mean for example the summer festivals) are always some meet and greet session, too? I am wondering to going to pinkpop or to France, but that is so different and also in the middle of the day and I am not quite sure, where would be a meet and greet on that locations... I am reading your posts and I feel so dumb that I didn't wait there after the HMH show, but I had no idea how it works so I went home... :boxed:

The first time I went to a Mika gig I didn't know about the meet and greet either and went home too. He usually comes out after a gig (tho that is no guarantee that you'll be able to talk to him since there are usually a lot of people waiting but you can always try). Sometimes he doesn't, when he is ill or something but usually he does.

I don't know if there will be a meet and greet at festivals, I am going to Pinkpop but I am not counting on a meet and greet.

  8. How is it possible that other people (like you:wink2:) seem to know way more things then I do? How on earth do you know that Mika was in Amsterdam on Thursday already? Where you on 'kroegentocht' with him?:naughty:

Miek and Ingie and I were in Antwerp where he told us he would be heading to Amsterdam after the meet and great :wink2:.

Alexander: did you take pictures Friday? Would you like to contribute to the Q book (work title :bleh:)?
