  1. Just a question, but will any of you bring something with you to sit on whilst Qing? I'm struggling with this myself, as I don't wanna sit on the cold ground the whole day, but I don't want to bring (something like) a little chair either.

Does anyone have a good advise in this?

Why don't you want to bring a little chair? You are coming by car aren't you? I might bring a chair, why not. There will always be someone grateful for it.

  2. Thanks for that , there was half a plan to do something on the Saturday :thumb_yello:

When will you be leaving? Vicky, Laurel and I will do some sightseeing Thursday afternoon, Vicky will leave early Saturday but Laurel in the evening, so Laurel and I might be up to something fun on Saturday too (if I can still stand on my legs that is, after queuing and the gig Wednesday, work and picking up the girls Thursday and queueing and gig (and perhaps afterparty) Friday again. Oh, and work Saturday morning. It'll be such a great week :biggrin2:.

Can't wait to see all your costumes!!!

  3. They are going to help me practising! We will play a game of Monopoly first and then: dance!! My oldest learned the dance in mirrorway so she can stand in front of me.

I am really such a dork at dancing, I am very afraid that I will be the one waving my arms in the air and the rest already doing smt else. Mika will laugh.....:blush-anim-cl::naughty:

It is good that you have a private coach :naughty:.

I am sure there will be some mistakes made during the flash mob. But we will practice it whilst queuing so that way we might reduce the mistakes :thumb_yello:.

  4. I think we're parking there, but the email says that after the gig, its gonna be busy and it can take over 1 hour to leave.

Ah well, we'll be busy with mika (hopefully) signing anyways, so everyone will be gone by the time we will leave :naughty:

    My thoughts exactly :naughty:.

    I don't care how long it takes...as long as we're togettthuuuurrr:wub2:

I wouldn't mind just looking at him...he could do a comedy routine like Obama:biggrin2:

    Let's make it the MagicalMikaMiekMobile...the MMMM. Hehehehe:naughty:

    Or he could strip :mf_rosetinted:.

  5. I don't know, my cup now has no saucer.... I need strong glue to fix.

Or else I'm gonna go with the cup and spoon only. Its very tiny :aah:

I'm wearing it daily now, coz its so cute!

Ah, nu komt de aap uit de mouw! You should have left it in your drawer till the gig (just kidding dear). Yesterday I was fitting my outfit when I couldn't find my glasses anymore. So at midnight I made my boyfriend help searching for the glasses :teehee:. He found them, phew.

I am off, I have to adjust something on my dress, I have been spending a lot of time on that already, because I am the worst seamstress ever (I'm not kidding). So off I go. See you the day after tomorrow :biggrin2:.

  6. Dunno if he'll sign but I'm pretty sure he will sing:mf_rosetinted:

Miek, I'm all for parking the MiekMobile there:mf_rosetinted:

:roftl:. I want my money back if he doesn't sing!

So the MikaMobile has changed into the MiekMobile now. Either way I am happy to get a ride. Yes, let's park the Mobile there, you and I can split the enormous amount of parking money don't you think :naughty:.

sooo faaar... i dont have much time left i should hurry! XD

ooh and by the way.. i think it's a gig like every other one, and it's ridiculous to think stuff like 'i'll tell them that i will be there at 10am.. so they believe me and come at that time.. but i will come earlier!" .. don't choose your time after the principle "when do i have to be there, so i'm there BEFORE everyone else?!", but better choose it after the principle: "how much time am I willing to spend waiting to see mika?" if you just want to wait 5 hours, come 5 hours earlier. stop this competition thinking stuff. please.

we've all seen that the people who've been to the paris gig have been very uncomfortable with the situation. let's not make the part of mika gigs that is always fun, a situation that'll piss off all of us.

And sure there's always a different waiting-time in each country, but let's not make it worse by setting the arriving-time earlier and earlier this is only going to make everything into a huge mess and only takes away our happines.

    I love your outfit!

But where did you get the idea from that we would say a time to start queuing but secretly go earlier? I wasn't planning doing that at all! I totally agree with AMP on this one. I don't understand the fuzz. All I have been doing was thinking about the huge amount of MFC'ers that will be there, the fact that I want to be front rowish and spend the whole day with my MFC friends (I am really looking forward to meet them) and then I decided about the time. And yes, 9 o'clock or 9.30 is early but I am willing to do that for this special gig. And after reading about at what time other people start queuing I feel I 'm making the right decision. I don't see the problem. Perhaps I'd feel differently if I'd went to the Paris gigs but I didn't and I didn't read the gig thread so I don't know what the problem was there. Besides, in France Mika is more popular then in Holland, I don't think it will be the same here anyway.

Ingie: No, I don't have a tale (and most certainly no teeth, I am too vain for that :bleh:) but I will have a beautiful purse, made by Rockinbabzz :thumb_yello:.

AMP: Your outfit sound great. It is a bit like feeling in love isn't it, and that is not just because of Mika. It is also because of meeting the other MFC'ers again and having a blast together (hopefully the weather will improve :aah:). I read somewhere that during a gig your body makes the same hormones as when you are in love. That might have something to do with it too :original:.

Only a few days to go!

  8. i don't wanna queue for hours at the ticket machine because i have to hurry to get to the mika queue! :roftl:

thanx to all you guys saying that you wanna be there at 9/9:30 already, i won't be relaxed at all, as my train arrives only after 9! :aah: my last queuing experience (paris) was anything but pleasant, since they were at no. 100 already at 10am - and if you say you wanna be there at 9, i'm fear there'll be some mad ones who think "ok then i'll come at 7!" :sneaky2::aah: *misses queuing like in germany, where it was enough to be there around noon, or in stuttgart even at 4pm* :tears:

does anyone know how big the front row is at this venue (how many ppl)?

People asked at which time we start queuing, I answered honestly. You can't compare this gig to the ones Germany, this is Amsterdam and loooots of MFC'ers are coming. I would compare it to London, actually.

I hope things will not be as crazy as in Paris. But it wouldn't hurt to be 2nd row either, would it :bleh:. Tho I would really like most of the people who are dressed up be first row, that would make an awesome view :thumb_yello:.

Ingie, the make up is amazing! What should I bring for White bunny make up? I don't have time to do much shopping anymore.

Melissa, I love your wig, it makes me want to wear one too!!!

I had a party yesterday, at a certain point I wore the flaming red wig of another person, I really loved it, I am going to buy one myself.

Don't forget the glasses for the flash mob peeps!

  9. Yeah, but the ticket machines (I'm having a complete black out concerning the translation of 'kaartautomaat' :roftl:) still accept cash too. (Although, only coins, so I see your point.)

I have that black out too :roftl:. Do the machines still accept coins? I had no idea :bleh:.

Mellody, you can buy a chipcard for one hour/ a day at a ticket machine, there is usually no long queue (tho I find it hilarious to read you that you don't want to queue for hours :roftl:).

The more I look at their page, the more I feel like they might not actually make any music, but just play other people's stuff at parties...

Let's see if we can get them to play Mika :roftl:.

Or hire them for the afterparty :naughty:.

  10. I just need a single ticket from Amstel station to Bijlmer ArenA, do I need a chipcard for that?

If you go by metro, yes. But as Nielo said, there are day (or even hour) chipcards availabe, they cost like 2 euro 60 or something like that.

If you go by train (which is possible as well) you can buy a train ticket (you have to have a credit card or something like that for that).

  11. I'd never heard of that card before, but I looked it up and it does include the subway (but they call it 'metro' on this website). It doesn't include the train though.

And yes, the transport system in Amsterdam is pretty confusing, especially since they're in the middle of changing it. It's very annoying. :aah:

You are saying exactly the opposite from me :roftl:. Obviously not every one feels the same about it. You are probably talking about changing to the OV chipkaart, I don't like that either. I still don't have one .

  12. yeah, of course not if they have to adjust costumes... but the blue corsets ARE for small BGs, they wouldn't have to adjust them... still they didn't use them in paris. :wink2:

Really? They don't want small big girls at all anymore?

Thank youvery much for your advice :-)

One last question: I was thinking about buying the I Amsterdam Card because I`m going to stay in Amsterdam for three days. It includes free transports. I couldnt figure out if this includes the subway, too. Somehow I dont get the transport system in Amsterdam :boxed::aah: Do you know anything about this?

I'm not 100 % sure but I think it includes the subway as well. I think it is a good idea to buy the I Amsterdam Card. The transport system in Amsterdam isn't that confusing, don't worry.

  13. One little thing: the Kick-ass tape at the concert in Paris started after the glasses part... so it started immediately with the 'hands part' (00.16 on Monie's video).

Oh, thank you for mentioning it! We will have to put our glasses on right after Lollipop then!

Edit: I watched another vid of it and the whole song is played. But immediatly after Lollipop so it is a good idea to put the glasses already on anyway.

  14. i didn't see him on stage in munich during KA. gotta look at my video again, but i'd be surprised if he was!

didn't patricia want to be a BG in amsterdam again? i thought she mentioned it in berlin... it seems though that mama p doesn't like it now if people do it who have already done it at other gigs, she was very strict about it in paris, wouldn't let axie do it again, and i also almost didn't get to do it, even though she had promised it the day before. :aah:

This was already the case in Dusseldorf. Perhaps they make an exception if they don't have enough volunteers. And I think Big girls have a bigger chance, since there are more costumes for them.

fab to hear rose that you'll be able to make it! :biggrin2:

like i said though, don't count on getting chosen to be a bg again, they prefer people now who haven't done it yet.

btw, also they didn't want any small big girls in paris. wonder what made them change their mind about it.

The 2nd night in Hammersmith mama P. said that that was the last time she allowed small girls to be big girls. She had to adjust way to many costumes, she was almost in tears then.

I would love to be on stage once, but in my case I would more be a "tall girl", as I'm about as tall as Mika himself...

Don't know if they are looking for a new variety though :teehee:

You can always try! Would be great if you would do the flash mob on stage too (tho it will be hard with the mask on :bleh:).

yes i want to john promised me i could be bg in amsterdam , when he asked me in berlin to be bg i said no because i was afraid i couldn't be bg in amsterdam. then he said i could still be bg in amsterdam but i have to wait and see what mama p says

Are you going to do the flash mob too?
