  1. Haha! Right. Do you realise how long it would take me to swim from Houston, Texas? And I am not touching Galveston Bay. That water is polluted beyond repair. *sigh*

And I thought girls from Texas were tough  ... so many legends about that beautiful State  .

Don't take my dreams away from me with tales of polluted water, that's a good girl :sneaky2: !

To me Texas is the summer countryside in 'A perfect world' :wub2: and I don't want it to change  .

  2. I entered too. Haven't gotten a confirmation email but one of my accounts is already registered with mikasounds if that is an affect on anything. I'll keep my fingers crossed but good luck to all! Now if I win I just have to sweet talk my cousin who is a pilot for Southwest....:angel_not: hehe. Well good luck again! I wonder if I'll ever have any luck...never won a thing in my life...think that's a sign? Oh well never give up hope right! Same to all you out there who are thinking the same thing. Keep up the hope, chance can change! :biggrin2:

    What's wrong with SWIMMING :biggrin2: !

  3. Did I say that?:roftl: Hmm...I said a lotta things...

Well, we Dutchies have our rep too:mf_rosetinted:

You Dutchies sure do :wink2: ...

Anyroad that was sound advice and I hope he's followed it and found some use for his tongue. Like licking icecream if he was queuing up in LA or NYC before a Sire gig, for instance :roftl: .

  4. Nothing wrong with a dirty mind at times:naughty:

Thus spoke the girl who told FR that he shouldn't put out his tongue if he didn't use it :wink2:. I am not sure the quote is quite right though... but it is good to know that the French are not the only ones who have a dirty mind :blush-anim-cl: . We enjoy such a baaad reputation  !

  5. yup, the ones who don't get a confirmation will be the ones who'll get a "you have won" mail instead. :mf_rosetinted:

didn't receive a confirmation either, well, guess i'll just try again, one of my 10 mail-addresses should work. :naughty:

i wonder how many tickets they'll give away. hope it's more than just one pair of tickets. well, we'll see how many of us win...

edit: the 4th mail-address worked. it was the only one i've never entered before anywhere on MS. so maybe the confirmation mail is only for the mailing list (though it says "thank you for entering the competition")? :dunno: or maybe it was cause the other mail-addresses ended on .de, the one that worked was .net ... but i don't think that can be it, i chose "germany" as country in the form and that doesn't seem to matter. strange.

You're not supposed to live in denial here, that's Niki's job :naughty: .

Don't hold your breath, they can be quite close-fisted sometimes :sneaky2: ...

Yeah, strange to say the least... they shouldn't give South American mushrooms to their competition, they disagree with it  .

    Cheers,

  6. I'm a good mother. I take wonderful care of my hairy foster kids and I don't pretend they're ill in order to leave them at the hospital and attend Mikagigs. :shun:

    QUOTE]

Self-righteousness doesn't become you, you are the sarcastic one, remember ?

And you don't have to leave your hairy kids  at the hospital -thank you from taking my mind off an exam hours before sitting it, love :huglove: - : they may be as fit as fiddles but YOU are sooooo poorly that a few days off and the pure, clean, dry air of London would do you a world of good...

  7. Entered with my second emailadress and got the confirmationmail between seconds. O.K. let´s see what will happen.

I think that basically when you haven't received the confirmation email within seconds it's bad news :sneaky2: and you'll never get it, better try again with another email address.

    Cheers,

  8. A couple means two.

'A couple of' means a small number of.

'When the stripper had shed off a couple of clothes, he started drooling' doesn't mean that she had taken off just two pieces of clothing, might be three, might well be just one if the guy was really sensitive to that kind of show :naughty: .

In the same way 'a couple' also means 'an item' but don't we know about 'ménages à trois' :wink2: ?

But then I am more familiar with British English, American English may be more litteral :dunno: .

    Cheers,

  9. Very wise words Suzy, as usual. It would effectively be a waste if the tickets go to someone who isn't even sure if they can go to the gig, because there is no way that they would be easily re-allocated, so they'd most likely be lost, when there would possibly be other disappointed fans who CAN go but don't get the tickets

Yes, I agree. Anyway, I'm sure that people will take that into account and only apply if they can actually go to the gig....

I'm REALLY hoping that I get some, as I will be here and can go even if I win tickets last minute :roftl: (hint, Team Mika, hint :naughty:)

Yes, it's probably just the way it's worded, but they most definitely have to have tons of "pairs" of tickets.

Does anyone remember the wording of that Paris contest that they ran for PDP? Taht was hilarious. Was it something like 'a chance a pair of tickets' or something like that?

    Does anyone remember?

I'm too lazy to go and fish the blog out where they said it :aah:

We don't know yet how the competition will be run and the tickets allocated but so far no identity has been asked for so that the winners should be able to give or sell tickets to less lucky  .

    Cheers,

  10. Applied :biggrin2:

Surprisingly I had no problem with the confirmation email  Guess people who didn't receive it will do so in the next few hours?

Good luck everyone! :thumb_yello:Love the way this competition is run :wink2:

Or possibly months, during the winter tour :naughty: ?

Yes, we do luuuve the way their competitions are run :wub2: ...

    Cheers,

  11. After reading the text about the confirmationemail for the third time, is it really necessary to get a confirmationemail? Could it be, that this mail means that the user will get updates for the future? It makes me nervous not to know, if I counted or not. Is it O.K. to try it with another emailadress ? So many questions .... I´ll be really happy, when we will get the dates for the proper tour having time to make plans.

A confirmation mail is supposed to be sent to anybody giving their email address but then a friend of mine never received hers... so from the very beginning there are winners and losers apparently :naughty: .

    Cheers,

    Id3

  12. I won't be going, anyway. Don't show off. svp :sneaky2:

I appreciate your politeness but asking Sire's identical twin not to show off is like asking the sun please not to burn on a bright summer day : showing off goes with being a Leo.

Sorry, can't help it :sorry: ...

And why on earth won't you be going ? Aren't you on hols now  ?

    Cheers,

    Id3

  13. Blog? :roftl:

Nope. So far. But you can win itunes tickets on Mikasounds, apparently. :biggrin2:

Do you think July 31st is going to be a flop  ? I mean, they gave away ticket in homeopathic doses and only for UK residents, now they've found a new way to give them for free... if it goes on like that, the 5 pairs auctioned from July 17th will sell for the starting price, 15 pounds. Good, I can afford to go that high :thumb_yello: !

    Cheers,

  14. You seem to be obsessed with Hampstead Heath...:mf_rosetinted:

Not really, it's just that there are a few similarities between the Bois de Boulogne and Hampstead Heath :naughty: , and both are different from the Fontainebleau forest, which WillyW seemed not to know.

The FF in which you can't buy a house, I am not even sure you are allowed to put up a tent, and anyway that would be soooo camp :roftl: !

    Cheers,

    Id3

  15. He'll be buying a house in the Fontainebleau forest as much as he answered our email questions, or kept doing both "where is mika?" and "Blackall project"...Nevah!:mf_rosetinted:

Oh but he is looking, Willy W, he is ; not IN the Fontainebleau forest though, NEAR it, you're obviously mistaking the FF for the Bois de Boulogne -or Hampstead Heath :roftl: .

Dammit, I have given blassified info again :sneaky2: !

    Cheers,

    Id3

  16. Where do you get those "pieces of information"?

I’ve been here for a long time and I come almost every day to read new posts and see what is going on…and I’m sorry but your information is not relevant, I think you’re jumping to conclusions! No harm in that but why do you do it?

I’m not telling you off or anything I just wanted to point it out because I think it can be a risk that by "telling" stuff like you do it’s easy that a rumour gets started, and we don’t want that, do we?:wink2:

Thank you for warning me :huglove: ! Silly me :blush-anim-cl: , I hadn't imagined the DANGER  : every single road around the Fontainebleau forest jammed because of all the people trying to stalk him... good thing some people THINK here :thumb_yello: !

    Cheers,
