The first time my sister heard Mika she said:

"It's just okay."

I was very hurt

Then I saw a Mika interview where he said this:

"You never want people to say it's just okay. If everyone said that it would be...blah!"

Apparently my sister hurt Mika too.

Mika and regina spektor are tied as my favorite artist. And I am so excited for Far in June:roftl:

I really meant to get an account earlier. I've been a Mika fan since January 2007.

I live in the US so I've gotten used to hearing "Mika who?" whenever I mention him. Back when he was still releasing LICM singles, his music videos were few and far between on american tv. But one day I got lucky when I first heard Grace Kelly. It was so different from all the other stuff they were playing and I was absolutely amazed by his vocal range. Of course, the other thought that hit me was "wow he's gorgeous!"

But it wasn't until a few months later when I was bored on youtube that I remembered this awesome video. I couldn't remember the name of the song or the artist (which seems absurd to me now) all I could remember was "I could be something, I could be violet sky." So I took a stab at it and typed it in. Its been almost two years since and Life in Cartoon Motion is still at the top of the stack of cds on my dresser.
