  1. I am one of the biggest Regina fans ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:roftl:

It says on my itunes that I have 66 of her songs! and i still don't have all of them!

Who's excited for Far on june 23rd???!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Why does Mika's music make me go crazy... *ponders*

So I've listened to LICM about as many times as the U.S. national debt (which is going on a quadrillion for anyone who lives somewhere else and wouldn't know), but it still has never gotten normal. Sometimes when I listen to it I'll still laugh and say the same thing I did when I first heard him, "This is ridiculous!"

  3. I haven't read this thread comepletely, so I'm not sure if this point has been brought up already but...

I think the Disney inspired song where he talks about Cinderella and how imitated the birds with the flutes, is Toy Boy.

OMG I'm right!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just watched to the video blog again where he plays it and if you turn your sound up you can hear him start to sing "she's the meanest hag..." then you see him click something to turn it off. :groupwave:

  4. Lives in Pittsburgh? Not now.

    Born in Pittsburgh? Yep.

    Been to Pittsburgh? Uh huh.

    Had a Primanti's sandwich? Yum!

    Steeler Fan? You betcha.

Am I goin' dahntahn? Uh huh, right after I redd up the room and warsh

    my clothes! :naughty:

I wonder if there will be more than just the two of us here, though?

    I have a feeling we're not alone

  5. You're in Pittsburgh? I'm from Pittsburgh originally :thumb_yello:

And I'm sure Mika will get to Pittsburgh eventually -- he's been to DC and

Philly already, not so far from you. Pittsburgh will be on the list down the

    road. :)

I sure hope so... I don't exactly have the means just go wherever to see a Mika show

  6. Although I've been excited for the new album for a long time recently I started thinking about what it will be like. I've never really thought about it before, in the back of my mind I thought it will be a shadow of LICM maybe, a crowd pleaser and toned down a little.

I can already see a shadow of LICM forming – (I know at least one of these songs won't be on the album) but to give an idea:

    Grace Kelly

    Lollipop

    My Interpretation

    Love Today

Relax – How Much Do You Love Me

    Any Other World

    Billy Brown – Holy Johnny

    Big Girls

    Stuck In The Middle

    Happy Ending – Rain

Do you see what I mean??!

And to fans of these songs:

I love How Much Do You Love Me. It's catchy and full of potential- you could do so much with it.

As for Rain: it's constructed of meaningful words and showers of pretty notes but for some reason it just doesn't feel right to me.

But anyway looking at that I realize that’s not what I WANT.

I hope Mika has a trump card down his sleeve- do you think it's possible he's written another Grace Kelly- I use "Grace Kelly" as a phrase: perhaps he has a brilliant song in the works. I want Mika to be king of the charts again and not mr. one-hit-wonder.

    Anyway, opinions?

racinghorse83, I'm amazed! we think exactly alike! I'm not even kidding I thought almost that exact same thing! I even paired those songs together in my mind! And I also thought about the demos I've heard, seeing that there wasn't really a Grace Kelly or Love Today in the bunch. but of course nothing really close to them (I don't want a LICM shadow either) Although seriously, could you really picture Mika's next album without some amazing happy singles? Isn't that why we fell in love?

  7. On Love Today, I always thought it was the words in the CD booklet, but I did notice the "never stood on my own two feet feet" thing. Maybe its on purpose, possibly a play on the sung words "two feet." But doesn't it almost seem like a typo? I wonder if anyone else noticed this in that booklet, on the last page where the credits are for Grace Kelly:

    Keyboards/Background Vocals: MIKA

Drums: Greg Wells Guitar: Lyle Workman, Greg Wells

Greg's last name was accidently bolded.
