  1. From a newbie to a newbie: hi darling! Oh yes, you will enjoy in here. E.
  2. Ha ha! It really might be so when you're just poor student and live on bread alone.
  3. I can't believe you're so expeditious with the updates! Yeah, he looks really nice. I've never been into fashion criticism, so I don't have any problems with the jacket. If he likes it - let it be.
  4. No, I mean not like twice in a row, but one day and another day. Maybe he wants me to know that I should love the bread (today). And may I say it was the same shop...
  5. "Love Today" started playing in a grocery shop while I'm in the bread section. Twice! What should that mean?
  6. Eglė

    Hey!

Have you been to Lithuania or you know some Lithuanians that you said "Labas"? :) It was very surprising and pleasant. :)

  7. M, cool. I remember being in the Westlife MB and there were absolutely NO boys. I'm already having a lot of fun here and yup, fingers crossed. E.
  8. Sadly, I haven't. I'd love to visit Portugal and to try out your traditional cuisine. One of my passions... :) It would also be really interesting to hear European Portuguese since it's different form Brazilian version (as far as I know).

  9. Yeah, I live in Vilnius now becouse I study here. But my hometown is Klaipėda. I like them both: one is bigger and louder, another is smaller and very cozy and warm. :)

  10. It was AWESOME!!! We didn't have much time there, but it was enough to see Gaudi and most of the interesting sights. I might post a few more pics a bit later, though I have hundreds of them. :D Have you been in Bcn?

  11. Thanx for greetings. Now a HIM fan was the least I expected to see here... And that is wonderful! I've never seen them live as well, so... the future awaits us.
  12. Mmm, I love this place... :)

  13. I'm prone to talking too much. :D You just write what's on your mind and "poof", it happens naturally. ;)

  14. Being able to post here for the 1st time.
  15. Wow, so many replies! If only you could see that enormous beam on my face... You would be frightened! Thank you so much for a warm welcome; thanx Christine, glad I'm finally able to post. I can't believe you really liked the intro. I had a slight fear, to be honest, but now I feel totally in the right place. RAK1, it's so surprising to hear you had the same impression! And so great to know we understand each other. You're so nice guys, I also like my name (real one, means "fir-tree" in Lithuanian), but when it comes to pronouncing the last letter for a foreigner... Oh well, doesn't really matter. Ok, we‘ll see about the obsession later, though you might be right. Someday, I hope, everyone will get to sing along the live show...mmm... together. Thanx once again, girls and boys (are here any? ) Hugs, E.
  16. Hi, My name is Eglė, 19, and I’m from Lithuania. Since I’m a new member here, I’ll tell you a bit about myself. Mmmm… I’m afraid it’ll turn out to be not “a bit”, so forgive me if it does and just don’t read all the blabbing and go straight to the last paragraph. I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t a Mika fan, you know it. Now, how it all started… The first Mika song that reached my ears (and I suppose the first one in Lithuania) was “Relax, Take It Easy”. And, to be honest, I hated it. Why? At first I thought it was another silly DJ or something like it and this song was playing at school’s reading-computer room all the time. It was impossible to study! Anyway, after a few weeks I was humming the tune myself and when I heard “Grace Kelly” and realized it was the SAME singer, I had to admit it wasn’t a pop-cliché breakthrough. Che he, I thank my parents for not complaining ‘bout being forced to listen to the same album over and over again. My general musical taste is actually… very general. I like almost everything from Vivaldi and Chopin to amazing rat pack era and the 60s; to Shakira and Robbie; to Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith; to Metallica and Apocalyptica. Well, except hip hop nowadays and house, dance, trance etc. Oh, and I adore the 80s and the early 90s. What I like about Mika’s songs is both clear and pretty difficult to say. I believe it is that they all are sad in a way… Don’t get me wrong, they put a huge grin on my face. But still, they have this trace of meaningful sadness and maybe it makes you listen to the song, not only hear it. Ok, enough of philosophy. You might ask why I haven’t joined the MFC earlier and I’m not sure about that myself. My first ever fav band was Westlife. Ya ya, I was “in love” with one of the guys... So, I joined the message boards etc. A few years later when I joined HIM forums (I told you my taste is wide) and I loved that camaraderie between members. But. Reading topics like “Have you been…?” where people “compete” to how many concerts they have been, where they discuss gigs, shows, signings and meetings, – it used to make me feel a little down. When you’re 13-17, live in a small country and have never seen the artist live, it’s no fun at all, you know. I think I gave up childish dreams to go to a foreign country just to see my favourite musician play live; I started to visit forums just to read the news and soon abandoned that. I recently found out that Mika is posting a blog. And this time I was eager to be involved in the process of sharing thoughts and news. Maybe because I’m not underage anymore (), I’ve been on this little Euro-trip with my friends and now I DO believe I would (and will) go to another country to hear my favourite music. So, here I am. I’ve never been in Mika concert, never seen him live but I hope I might one day. I’m not a maniac or extremely obsessed, I simply enjoy his music. I hope I will get to know a lot of wonderful people here and even if I never get to post “Yeah, I’ve been in that show as well!” it will be enough. E. P.S. Sorry once again for the length.
