That's right only "Elle me dit" fits the new album's style. But as it was adapted into "Emily", it could have been on the French cd only (I mean not only for France but all French speaking countries). I don't think people in the UK will be interested in Mika singing EMD.

yes, "comment tu charmes?" was weird too . Doriand does sound to be a nice guy but his lyrics are not good enough for Mika. What do you think about "comme un soleil"? I'll have a look at GK lyrics in French and am sure we'll find other... gems

I love your question GK: in French was not very good (the lumberjack , the bad guy on the run, ... where the hell had the great English lyrics gone? ), EMD was fine and dancey but not a masterpiece. Well, "Karen" was THE first really good song in French and yes, Mika can sing in French but I feared Doriand's touch. That's why my first impulse was to order the British deluxe edition In the end, I love "Comme un soleil"and "Karen" and agree with you BIOTW was cheesy and too Celine Dion for Mika but is much better in French. The French language is perfect for the melody!

Hi Christine! I've just read your last posts in the TOOL topic. I want to buy TOOL and the acoustic titles. I'm not interested in Mika's songs in French (only Karen is a real good song. EMD was fun at first (and something fresh, yes we were that desperate to listen to something new and dancey) but Emely will be ok for me). As you said, if these songs were like La solitude, it would be another story... Doriand seems a nice guy but he's NOT Mika... I have not ordered anything yet, but I think I will buy the British deluxe version of the album. xx

:aah:oh dear, how could I have forgotten the garbage men anecdote it was hilarious. As a parent, you do make sure such event never happens again. About his dyslexia, maybe his former school was smaller and the teacher's method more adapted to him. We'll never know the whole story

Hi Christine! Like you, I don't understand how a child without any learning problem can become dyslexic. I know you can be disturbed if you're bullied (trauma) but dys-children are born this way. My daughter has got dyscalculia. She's 8 1/2 and was diagnosed last year but showed already signs when she was 6. I'm not a doctor or therapist so I'll believe what he says.
