  1. Yea but ur hair is naturally wavy/curly :( mine is ridiculous: not very straight but resists curling like its life depended on it :aah: I used a curling wand the other day and in spite of mousse by the time I got to the left side of my head the right side uncurled

I'll try heated rollers tho lemme know if u find good ones! :thumb_yello:

It's ain't sh*t if my hair is naturally curly or whatever, it still drops out pretty fast if i don't spend time on it :naughty:

My friend has blonde hair which is naturally poker straight and i've suggested heated rollers for her... she normally uses curling wand or just straighteners to curl it but it drops out easily...

Yeah moose doesn't do much for my hair, gives it a bit of volume and if it's feeling nice, keeps a bit of curl in place :aah:

    Will do! :wink2:

  2. didn't know this thread existed!

LOVE this vid! it's a brilliant little piece :thumb_yello:

oh, and i've become very interested in vintage hairstyles, esp soft wavy ones..anyone who's tried out these feel free to post tips plz!

I usually get waves using a curling wand then brushing the curls out but i've been told that heated rollers work really well and have long lasting results! (I'm looking for some good ones atm) :arf2:

  3. well, to the american politicitans involved, it was or should have been very embarrassing ... they even got them to congratulate our president poutine (1) we don't have a president, but a prime minister 2) poutine is a french frie dish with gravy and cheese

I bet Mika barely remembers that interview... his pride may have been hurt at first, but i'm sure he got over it... he's a big boy :aah:

Ok, how on earth did they manage that?! Even with my limited knowledge of Canada i knew that is false... WTF?! :aah:

Ahh true... with the amount of interviews he does :aah:

  4. When i heard on the news about the poor nurse, i immediately thought of this interview. But obviously, they didn't have the same outcome.

But you know, we have radio stations who play pranks here as well, it's just not in Australia.

A few years back there was even a television special on Canadian TV called "talking to Americans" ... and the things they got the US politicians and normal people saying was just down right ridiculous. It made them all look like fools, except for this 10 yrs old little boy, who knew Canada had provinces and not states. But to us Canadians, it was down right funny. Example: they got Americans to say "Congratulations Canada for legalizing staplers" :naughty::teehee:

    Here's an example:

    Ok that was funny :lmao:

We have some shows where people play pranks on the public with secret cameras, but this, nor what's above is quite the level of humiliating someone to the point that Mika or the nurse were...

  5. The idea of the Australian Interview 'Prank' reminds me of the Australian Radio show pair that tricked their way into hearing the details of the the Duchess of Cambridge's illness/pregnancy and the girl who accidentally let them through committed suicide because she was so humiliated at her mistake  Not the same standard obviously but i don't understand why you would do that...

  6. What´s the meaning of the word " friends " for him. Maybe for him those friends a re people he knows and have contact from time to time and special friends who are close to him. We have two words in Germany for that " Freunde " who are close to us and " Bekannte " for people we know and talk to but never would steel a horse with if you know what I mean :wink2:

I adore this expression! I shall have to use it sometime :naughty:

We call those people acquaintances. But if that's what he means then why lecture them about what bad friends they are? It sounds like a bit of a bs story anyway :naughty:

MFC got the very best tickets in the house for the acoustic tour presale in 2009 and one of Mika's friends was like how did you get those seats? Did you have a PRE-presale. We're all in the 6th row. :roftl:

That is one of my all time favourite stories

We have the same here - "venner" and "bekjente" - with the same meaning as you describe :blush-anim-cl: And I agree Christine, you don't normally tell a friend to buy ticket for your show! You're happy to fix it for free!! Strange

Maybe his friends have a habit of taking up a lot of the tickets and he wants to make sure fans in the area have a chance to see him :dunno:

  7. I like her, she's good. I hope he works with her under his own name though. Otherwise, no one will know it's him. They'll probably think it's Gary Barlow or some other inferior being, who's written her songs.

Yeah, if he write for/with her I wish he would put his own name cos i like knowing and recognising songs :aah:

  8. Is it the first time he is talking about working with Eliza Doolittle? I checked her songs on iTunes, she has a beatiful voice and she's very pretty.

I saw her live a couple of years ago, I'd recommend her, she's really good :wink2:

Never heard of her working with Mika though.... Though as far as i know she's working on her next album. :biggrin2:
