  1. It does look like MIKA! Keep train and you´ll be perfect! :thumb_yello:

    OH MY MIKA

    THIS IS JUST ....

... if you give this to him, he will forget all my "drawings" in a second :aah: and he won´t even open the next 20 :naughty:

I know that face! But I don´t. And it´s just perfect,

OMM people I feel like I´m posting into PENCILDRAWINGFANCLUB.COM and not MFC :naughty: You´re all so good :jawdrop:

    need to train more

    it's this I'm drawing

    Ian-Somerhalder-Ultra-Face-Closeup.jpg

and it's not perfect :aah: it's not smooth at all

  2. Here you go!

    tumblr_lp26ncFTRc1r0nvpco1_500.jpg

I'm stunned by the amount of detail in the eyes and the lips...especially the eyes, i'm a fan of eyes, love drawing them, but really, this is truely amazing, the way you did those wrinkles under the eyes, those highlights in the iris and pupil, the iris itself, the lashes and the eyelids! I can see the wrinkles in the eyelids. and the eyebrows too. amazing. you should make a tutorial !!

    :wub2:

edit: you made him a bit too feminine maybe, I think it's because of the lashes, but I love the lashes :wub2:

  3. let me see if you finished?:teehee:

:aah: i'm looking for perfect pic, for next drawing, but don't find one :aah:

you definitely will need 2 seperate ones. I've been looking for one with imma and Mika on it to draw before, couldn't find a proper one either :aah:

  4. textured paper is better if you want to use some water on it! I guess you need to use water with aquarel pencils?! (not sure...I'M not really an expert on coloured pencils but I do recommend textured paper if you will be using some water)

I've got 2 aquarel pencils myself aswell, and I -naive as I am- used it on printpaper :mf_rosetinted: did not go according to plan :lmfao:

But I've never really got the hang of working with aquarel pencils and the water etc. so basically I have 2 almost unused aquarel pencils lying around somewhere :mf_rosetinted:

  5. No no no. Printpaper is super-fantastic smooth. That's indeed great about them. You can get really photorealistic effect on them. But they damage so very easily.

Like, you grab it accidentally, oryou use the eraser and the whole paper is ****ed up , it creases badly! To understand what I mean: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/149887/2/istockphoto_149887-creased-paper.jpg

Smooth drawing papers differ from printpaper in their thickness. They are much stronger. (lol, did I just say that concerning a piece of paper? :biggrin2:)

Anyway, I hope you get what I mean. Drawing papers don't damage easily, they are thick and decent...they were designed for agressive pencil uses. :roftl:

oh yeah I had that once, so I rubbed of the top layer of my paper so basically I have a drawing with a hole in it :aah:

and I know what you mean with the photo effect. I like to add something too. I did it with my house drawing and I'm really proud of that.

I wanted to do it with my Wolverine drawing aswell but I didn't saw a way how to

  6. She draws on printpaper which is in my opinion the worts thing you can draw on. (LOL no offense!) Well for me anyway. I am unable to draw portraits on such easily damaged paper.

About grainy paper: it's all about taste.

BUt if you want to draw photorealistic drawings you have to draw on very very smooth paper. So that the skin looks really really smooth too.

If you have a grainy, testured paper, the portrait won't be smooth.

Just compare two of my drawings. Personally I can't decide which is better. BUT I find textured paper A LOT EASIER to draw on. However, if you want to draw photo-realistic portraits you have to work with smooth ones.

Smooth paper: (sorry it's not Mika but this shows perfectly what I mean by smooth skin)

    Textured paper:

You can decide which one you like more, but it's undeniable that you will never get as much photorealistic effect with a textured paper as you get with a smooth one. :wink2:

I draw on printpaper too since I thought all decent drawingpaper is textured. and I didn't see how you could make faces smooth etc on such paper. So maybe I should indeed go looking for that smooth paper, although I'm quite ok with printpaper too :aah: But it might be even smoother than the printpaper? or not?

  7. It's all about using tissues. Just blending baby! Your technique is perfect, you just need to blend the graphite. But I saw the paper you use, at Balaton, and unfortunately you won't be able to blend on those...coz the paper will crease and you'll get all mad! Just try blending with your fingers first. (though I recommend tissues coz your fingers are naturally greasy)

Buy some art paper, the smoother the paper is, the better your blending results will be. Printpaper is really smooth but can damage very very easily. That's the only problem with it. I don't know how you manage to work with it so well!!

So buy mechanical paper EDIT:**** it's called like that here but not sure this expression exists in English. Just simply drawing paper (cheap) or Bristol (expensive) ,sketch paper (they usually come in a form of a book-like thing) and that'll do!

And pencils...I have loads, but I only use a few. Buy a HB, a B a 3B and a 9B. Those should be more than enough!

    I hope it helped :wink2:

:aah: I work on normal A4 paper too. isn't the "decent" paper more grainy?

Oh yes, a lot, thank you! :thumb_yello:

I on´t blur the pencil at all, I almost don´t use an erase :aah: I just take pencil, draw. :aah: I used to blur skin and so on, but then I learned to draw without it with almost the same effect, so.. :thumb_yello: But when I´ll have a lot of time, I´ll buy that paper and maybe the quality of that drawing will be a little more similar to yours. :teehee: (Even if I don´t think so. :aah:)

I do'nt erase either, don't blend either aswell. I suck at blending since my drawing just looks dirty when I do that

  8. they want to go home cause they think he might sleep there and just leave, while my mum made pudding and bought cake

if they just let the baby cry for 5 minutes and then see if he stops or not, but no they can't even wait for 1 minute

i know i've no experience, but still

yeah I know  they shouldn't immediately leave. if they always go back home when the baby cries, they don't need to leave their house

  9. Oh wow thank you :huglove: I like the fact you were staring at it so you found your favorite area in the drawing :teehee: appreciate.

btw today I was re-reading how to draw mika thread again, and I was like wow, that´s how Step started to draw portraits, wow this looks really good, and at the end, when I saw Dr.House - OH MY MIKA I WANNA DRAW LIKE THAT! :crybaby:

    :thumb_yello:

you draw like that since you taught me! :aah:
