I bought these shoes today. They are a bit out of my style comfort zone, as I normally wear flats or sneakers, but I fell in love with them...
they're a bit out of her comfort zone, she says
If I only put those on to stand on, I'd miraculously end up flat-faced on the ground!
Beautiful shoes nonetheless!

Steph ! SOOOO amazing , It's just, just wow. I really have no words. I can't wait for the whole thing
Her technique is to scan the person into her computer. No wonder we haven't seen mika around.
darn you're on to me
thank you

Step i've to say. you're really the best drawner here. no one can take that away from you. all you pics have so many details and they are so clear. not blurry AT ALL.. REALLY! have never seen some one there can draw like you!
and i like you take your time to draw. not being in a hurry, and draw like 1 pic each day
You get the first prize:winner_first_h4h:
lol yes that's true I'm more a 1 drawing/2 months kinda person

I love your technique soo much

Hello, I'm a painter, and I make portraits in oilpaint. I just finished working on a portrait of Mika:
Next project will be another portrait in oilpaint of Mika, that will go to the MFC 5th anniversary auction in London!
it's amazing!!!!!!! It's stunning

I am drawing Mika again. it's been AGES
-
Thank you
I know, I'll keep practicing... Do you have any techniques for likeness, or is it just to keep going?
well in your case, because it would be a shame to loose that sketchy style, I think keep practising is it indeed
because I can see you can draw, you've got talent and an unique style already. So I also think your style is more important than having that 100% realistic drawing. You know what I mean? Those things don't really match. But the more you practise the better you'll become at it! But don't go for the photo-realistic drawings, you'll loose your style then

Hey
Okay, I'm no artist, so I'd appreciate advice from you amazing people...
My FIRST EVER attempt, I don't like it very much, but has anyone got any tips?
you're good!
the likeliness isn't a 100% yet, but you have this amazing natural sketchy style I love it

Incredible as usual. Is the second portrait Luna?
yes
but she looks a bit odd, I guess I messed something up on the left eye

I just saw your Rupert Grint drawing! is it possible to be in love with a drawing? You're very talented :thumb_ yello:
Thank you :teehee:
Fantastic, they're like photos!! You're so talented :wub2 :
thank you :blush-anim -cl:
The faces looks so real... amazing. But are you seriously going to draw 13 more on that paper? What if one drawing fails (in my case there is always one drawing that fails)... what a risky project.
yes, I did realise that too which is probably why it took me ages before I finally found the guts to start the 2nd one, because I was so pleased with how the first one looked and I never thought I could make it that detailed and pretty. So I didn't want to ruin it by drawing another one next to it
And I think it'll be exactly the same for the next 13 to come
And I'll hate myself if I screw one up, I really will
So it'll be a stressfull project for me

Wow! I love them! Hagrid is the real hagrid without any beard..hahaha
HP Series? Have you got more drawings? I'd love to see them
Well I drew Rupert Grint some time ago, just click the link in my siggie, and there you'll find everything I've done so far
But Yes I am indeed doing a HP series. A miniature portrait series, and so far I've only doen the 2 you see here! still 13 more to go

Today I've done the 2nd portrait in my Harry Potter series, with the result that you can now clearly see how crooked the frame around Hagrid is
I've already started on the 3rd one aswell

Hello everyone!
I´m back with my MIKA No. 24
FINALLY. I was very ill so I coudn´t finish it sooner. This one took me like 2 weeks, but maybe.. 3.5 hours of clear time. HOPE you like it
I'm going to be very critical this time, since I've noticed a few things on your drawings lately so don't kill me
First of all: even though I have a few remarks, I only have them because I know you can do better, since of course your drawings still are of an amazing level:thumb_yello:
I've noticed you've become a bit sloppy lately. Certain parts of the drawing look rushed, especially the neck and the clothes, and the hair a tiny bit aswel. I also find that it's lacking detail, you've done more detailed drawings that seemed to pop out of the page and looked like they weren't just flat drawings on a paper, like for example your Mika nr11! , look at the bow tie, and the curls and the shadows on the chin etc. They're so much more detail in that one, and it really pops out, it looks sharp and not flat, you know?
But I know, in some pictures there's more detail than in others. Like for example Mika nr 17, that one is basically only black and white, a lot f contrast with a few grey tones. But it doesn't look flat, you know? Maybe it''s because you'e drawn a little grey border around his costume and part of his cheeck, I don't know. But I just think you can do better, with a little bit more patience maybe.
But there's ofcourse also good things ! The left eye is really well done and I especially love the shadowing on his forehead:teehee:

I think your best one so far. PERFECT.
thank you! and yeah I'm very pleased with it too! I can even live with the hair already:aah:. The pic is a bit small though, don't know why, so you don't see that many details
Why didn't you say you posted it here aswell? >.<i still ADORE it
and my sister still think it's computer made!
your sister will soon change her mind when she sees the real thing, and it's huge!!!
What a wonderful idea, I really love itthank you I really loved drawing it!!

ROXY ROXY ROXY!
You should really draw Mika in his MA costume
Sorry I was just thinking about that and I needed to post
I'm busy with 2 tiny mika's (that don't seem him still working on that:) in an MA outfit. They're less than 4 cm x 4 cm xD.
And eloise: go gif crazy :naughty
-
byw Roxy can you add to your thread "how to draw hair"? esp mika's curls:boxed:
I think it's pretty, even the curls, really. it's a cool style you have
+1!Step, youre amazing!
you draw totally the same way as me, you just don't use a tissue to blend the graaphite. brilliant, seriously.and STEP, that wolf is impressive, I've already seen it on tumblr....you insire me to try my hands on drawing animals! I've always wanted to try that! Is it very upsetting? Drawing aaaaallll that hair?
no it's not at all upsetting, and this is coming from someone who can not draw hair AT ALL. Urgh, I always hate drawing the hair. But this was not upsetting at all! It's the first time I've drawn an animal, and I already planned it that it would take me WEEKS to finish it completely. I think I've worked the longest on the nose and the eye really, the hair was done in a bit more than 3 hours maybe
