a lot of people trying to enter the same site, if they didn't take into account this could happen, then the site crashes. or is difficult to acces.

They should create a back up site for the first hour of the puzzle, which would only load the puzzle and no other images/ links

No no, it's a necklace with a sheep on. I bought one a while back. And then 2 years ago, I bought one for Hippie, and one for Mika, I've been carrying it around ever since, but haven't got the chance to give it to him so far.

An actual sheep would be a lot more cooler though

I think it's indeed a good idea to help each other and use this thread to give each other hints.

Ofcourse I wouldn't want the actual answer to be posted on here from the moment one of us found it. But hints and help is really good!

I'd also love to see one of us win this, ofcourse I'd like to go myself too since I haven't met him and I'm super curious about his explanation for the watch design But the way this is going, there seem to be teams who find it super fast, I hope some of us will be able to catch up.

Euhm the team is just scored once, right? Or do we score individually and then it's put together? Don't think the other people on my team are even participating

you need to login, then go to "view puzzle" or something like that, and normally you'll see the outlines of a watch divided in pieces, and underneath that, there's a place to enter the code. Just make sure you login, and go to swatch net hunt and normally it'll sort itself out !

One of the tips from Swatch:

Each puzzle starts with a task. In there, you can find the first clues to narrow down your search field. Examine each word and look for odd syntax and spellings, then use the bits in an Internet search engine.

I was wondering, are we supposed to search the entire interwebs for the answer, or are we restricted to swatch's website? Does anyone know if this is mentioned anywhere in the rules or somewhere else?

Well, I did see something in the rules -- the wording was something like, "If spots are still open", so they definitely had a cut off point. But I wouldn't think they'd have reached it now.

 

Are you seeing teams that have no members in them? You know, it will say something like, TEAM #200 and there's no name and it says, "OPEN" in the slots next to it? If so, you can click on one of those to create your team -- they are not already created teams. Do you know what I mean? I can't do a screen shot because I can't get to that part of the site now without creating a new account. But it's only an already-created team if there's a founding member shown in the first spot on the left. I wish I could explain it better for you.

no there's nothing, no partially filled teams, no empty ones, no possibility to create new teams.

Maybe they've reached the limited number of teams, because of everyone making new ones, but is there website not programmed to react to abandonned (empty) teams.

I've got the exact same problem. Hopefully this isn't about a limit of people/teams but just a bug on the site or something.
