  1. Don't know where to post this, but since there's a bit of new info about the artwork, I'll post it here http://www.livincool.com/music/mika-origin-of-love

"The cover of the album is also different, he was searching for something sculptural and iconic. Sick of an illustrated base concept, he went to the creators of covers for the Rolling Stones and Grace Jones (among others) – Michael Nash Associates. They hadn’t done album covers in 6 years and there is a distinct feeling of the 90s with the cover, but Mika says that he is very conscious of that."

  2. I think I have a problem...

here's the link for the deluxe version in Amazon.co.uk

Have they increased the price??? 20.81 £ ????

The release date is October 16, so I guess it's an import CD from the US. Check out this :wink2:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Origin-Love-MIKA/dp/B0090NNQX6/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1348136389&sr=1-1

  3. Ok I have some time at least for a one minute video :teehee:

    Translation

I love these machines. 2€? I have to pay?

'Have you ever thought of dying your hair blond?'

At the moment, no. But when I'm 50, I'll celebrate my birthday with blue hair.

'After Fanny Ardant, Catherine Deneuve in your next video?'

Yes maybe. The next video is underwater. If she wants to have a swim, why not.

'When will we see Mika in a movie?'

Mika in a movie, it will never happen. It's impossible, I'm too goofy.

'I dare you to dance in the tweetomaton'

    That's very easy.

    'Can you imitate Michaël Gregorio?'

    ...

    Thanks :wub2:

Mika's dance moves are just :swoon:

  4. Hmm, where I come from that's what they call "damning something with faint praise" or a "left-handed compliment." I mean, "surprisingly easy to enjoy"?

Sheesh. Couldn't they be a little more descriptive?

Oh well, I guess overall it's positive and we'll have to be happy with that.

From what I know Popjustice never was a fan of Mika (quite the opposite, I think), so it must be hard for him to say something positive now :naughty: At least he tried!

  5. Underwater is the "big song" on Popjustice :yay:

    Mika – ‘Underwater’

On the whole the new Mika album - released this week internationally and in the UK at the start of next month - is surprisingly easy to enjoy, and 'Underwater' is our favourite song.

    • It's got a piano in it.
    • It's got singing as well at various points.
    • It's got a glistening epic chorus.
    • It's got the word 'amazing' in it.

    Amazing.
