Wow! Mika's fans are amazing artists. Would love to show some of my own stuff, but I can't work out how to upload images.

I didn't mind the Lithuanian dude, but on the whole it was really bad! I only watched until the russian grannies. We needed to bring on the mika, then we might have had at least one amazing act!

I wanna get it going againn . Somebody who I can talk to about mika without getting confused looks would be great!

I pray every day to just randomly meet a Mika Freak on the streets. It hasn't happened. I really, really, really hope he gets at least a LITTLE popular over here in the US!!!

Same here. I'm in England , and I wonder sometimes ' is there another proper mika fan in my school?' I don't think so. Sometimes I just feel like hopping up to a piano at school( there are lots of them!) and playing some of his songs to see if anyone recognises some of the less well-known ones.

Mika hasn't completely been wiped from everyone's minds. I hear the odd comment about him ( either 'that's a good song!' or ' the chipmunks are so annoying. They sound like that mika guy.' ) the latter really annoys me! I even heard someone singing 'suckin too hard on ya lollipop...' a couple of weeks ago.

Nono! It has to be this year. That thought is getting me through my exams. And don't get him with your sword. That would be silly at this stage.

This is only my very own opinion, only me speculating.

I'm wondering if he's going for a new image, to, maybe, get more success in places like America and also, get popular in the UK again. He does need to be. It's high time he was selling out stadiums in the UK and USA

Mika mentioned that during 1.5 years non-stop touring, he didn't manage to write a single song. Songwriting is probably the main emphasis of his career, and he seems to be in a bit of a pickle having not released an album for so long.

Without a band like his, there is more obligation to have such long tours. Maybe mika has just realised what was best for him.

Still, I would have preferred it to be a more gentle 'phasing out' than the whole band going forever at the same time.

I don't know! Mika splits from his band, writes some very beautiful lyrics that don't make sense, and replies to someone who wants to lick his elbows!

Assuming all mika's fans like his style, I think we can all agree on this.

Like someone said, he can do what he likes as long as it's legal. It could be for the better- hard to see how ATM.

I'm gunna trust mika. Maybe just not right now. The news came as a shock and I'm annoyed right now! I might have a very different view when the album comes out.

So it was clearly not a 'drifting in separate ways' breakup.

Oh dear! I'm saddened and shocked! Mika's band were part of mika himself.

Mika seems to be taking the image change thing too far now. His fans like him and his band just the way they are ( were).I have been diligently supporting him in the making of TOOL, but this has surprised me so much that my faith in him is suddenly slipping. I never thought I'd be saying this. I didn't want it to happen- mika needs fan support now more than ever, he seems to be having a hard time, but sacking his band is not the right way to go about it! This just seems a huge step too far!

My view is probably exacerbated by my rather similar day. Last compulsory day of education, and I'm leaving the school that has been my life for 5 years. Rather like the band situation but also very different- this was not the headteacher's choice! Nevertheless even more upsetting.

Wow mika! His articles are just as good as his songs.

This article has explained quite a lot, as with most of the other articles, but like his songs there are deeper bits that need to be read over more than once to fully understand.

Was I the only one worrying about mika? He seemed kind of lonely and sad when he came out of hiding, and trying to be like a different person. In one way the article reassures me that he's over it , but the loneliness thing keeps on coming up.

It's strange to worry about someone you've never met in person, but then mika is quite a substantial part of my life!

Love this song although I didn't at first. I agree, Ida and Mika's voices don't mix well. They're both good singers in their own right, but they don't match well. Ida's voice has too much vibrato and she drowns mika out.This is not the only occasion where this has happened. Oh well, I don't mind. The song's new and I like it!

Sfmg, I think there are so few covers because people don't think they can better the original. Or maybe just cos the song is very underrated:(

I actually haven't listened to any of the demos in many years (that's why I could barely remember the lyrics to Only Lonely One at the gig ) and I don't think I'm going to listen to Overrated any time soon. Probably best to listen to the album version with fresh ears.

Yes, I agree, don't spoil it. I already know the song well, because it is so beautiful and complete sounding that it's not like a demo at all. I imagine it will change at least slightly.

Well, it's one thing him saying that they'll be very different, but they're still gonna ( hopefully) sound like mika! Who else would write a song called 'china boy'?! It autOmatically starts to run parallel with 'toy boy' , 'one foot boy' and 'loverboy'.

Kind of hard to say what I think- I've only heard about 4 of the songs! I would be pleased if overrated was a bonus track though. I'd be disappointed whatever happened if it wasn't ( Id be annoyed that it wasn't anything new because it's a new album and annoyed if he changed it because it's a beautiful song!)

Has anybody wondered about a kind of conspiracy theory where mika is leading us onto the wrong idea? So the tracks he said won't Actually be on it and they wOnt be simple love songs. That would be funny...

Melody-wise , I'm singing it a bit like 'the fool on the hill' (the Beatles). No idea why, but it kinda works!
