I got a dispatch email that I totally missed! 😅

Fingers crossed my CD turns up tomorrow :crossed:,  I also have separate vinyl orders from the UK store but no emails about them yet.

I got a shipping confirmation earlier today but I'm afraid the parcel comes by post service, and the Italian one is not that good: I'll probably receive it by Christmas 😢

In this post they write "the costumes of a dancing body", so I think @holdingyourdrink is right, the video shows what's happening in the body ... and according to that IG post about the costumes, it might be what happens in the body when you're dancing.

I can't rewatch it now to look for more detsils, it says "video not available" :crybaby: Hope they'll bring it back soon, I want to watch it again!

    For now, off to bed.

"Corpo di ballo" means "corps de ballet", they are speaking about the dancers' costumes, there'no reference to human body, its anatomy or working 😉

Hmm, it's a bit different in the video interview than in the written one. I wonder if he said it the way they wrote it down, or if it's their free interpretation of what he says in the video? The way I interpret what he says in the video is that if you party a lot, you also have to find the balance to do the opposite afterwards and have the discipline to get back to work. In the written text I would interpret it as, "you need to be imperfect and party, and then do the opposite" - that sounds more like, "be unpredictable" than "be disciplined". Generally I find it hard to see how what he says is about talent, tho of course I agree with him that you can only make something out of your talent if you're disciplined and work hard. The rest is maybe just an example - but the way it is expressed in the written interview, it somehow gets a different meaning. :dunno: Would be interesting to know what the Italian speakers think about it, maybe I just understand it wrong?

You got it right: what he actually says is that talent pairs with discipline. You can still have fun, but you also must understand when it's time to stop partying (drinking, having sex...) and start working. I really can't figure out why they offered such a trivial summary in the magazine

Btw, another question to the Italian speakers, when he talks about fantasy, he says it's connected to fantasmi - does that actually mean ghosts in this context, or would it be better translated with something like spirit, or something else? I get his point that life is much better with fantasy, I just don't understand the ghosts part.

Ghosts can be either imaginary creatures and spirits. Given what we know about Mika's life, I think he's referring to the spiritual presence of the beloved persons who "left this world"

As others have already said, the answer to most of the questions below is: We'll post more details once we have them.

Come altri hanno già detto, la risposta alla maggior parte delle domande seguenti è: Pubblicheremo maggiori dettagli una volta che li avremo.

But here are a few more answers:

    Ma ecco qualche altra risposta:

I think if the dates for Verona are announced after Monday, there will be a separate pre-sale for those tickets. But I'm not positive, and Verona may be announced before Monday anyway.

The answer for the above 4 questions is: I will get a special link for pre-sale tickets from Mika's team that I will publish here on mikafanclub.com shortly before the sale starts on Monday.

We don't know yet. If I find out in advance, I will let you know here.

Sì, puoi acquistare un biglietto per il tuo amico. Probabilmente ci sarà un limite al numero di biglietti che puoi acquistare -- di solito c'è un limite di quattro biglietti a persona.

The presale link will be posted here, but it will take you to the TicketOne site, where you can purchase the tickets.

Il link per la prevendita sarà pubblicato qui, ma ti porterà al sito TicketOne, dove potrai acquistare i biglietti.

This is everything that I know as of right now. More details as I learn them!

Questo è tutto ciò che so ora. Maggiori dettagli quando li conoscerò.

Thank You, @dcdeb, for the info, for your help and for your patience

For those who didn't get to the right page after queueing – I didn't have to queue again, even though I got the old subscription page after the queueing, I somehow managed to get to the right page and book the tickets without queueing again.

somehow is the keyword :lmfao:I don't know how I got to the subscription page after queuing, I don't know how I selected the seats and where they are exactly, but it's a detail

The translation of this part doesn't get clear to me, maybe an Italian speaker can help? Does he mean he decides not to be too soft because it makes the relationship with the contestants easier? Or that he doesn't manage, although it would make the relationship easier?

From what I get, this would say "great, never change!", as indeed I often see comments on socials of people telling him "stay how you are" or "please never change". But I think that is something he has always refused, just remember the line from Ordinary Man "everyone thinks that I'm staying the same, are they secretly happy that I am in pain?".

You used to say you are obsessisive, perfectionist, the first one who comes to judge yourself: is it still true?

I love imperfection as well, but I can’t soften, I can’t make easier my relationship with talent.

After all, you must stand up to external judgements.

This is your fourth time at X-Factor: has your judging method changed?

After the gigs there’s always someone who says “Great, you never change”. Thank you, but I don’t fall into this trap. I strive to be contradictory, I don’t want o be myself’s mime

The whole discussion is about Mika himself, the first question is about being harsh towards himself/his job in order to be prepared to other people's negative comments and to overcome them; the second one is about change meant as growth, evolution, keeping the ability to be true to himself but still knowing that time goes by and that he can't simply repeat his former behaviours or artistic choices.

I don't know if this is somehow related to "Ordinary Man" lyrics, I reckon that the comment about singers/actors "staying the same" after a gig or an occasional meeting is often related to their ability to keep a connection with real life and with common people's problems, let's say about being approcheable, but maybe he perceives it as a lack of sensitivity towards his internal strougle to find a way to put his real life into his works.

But I requested my refund after the new law because I didn't want a voucher. I sent my request on 28th of July so the new law was already over a week old by that time.

Me too, but there are lots of people who made their request before that date. I think that, to behave in the same way with all the people, they have sent the voucher to everyone who made the request before 31 july. Now they are sending the last vouchers, so everyone can make the request for the voucher refund.

I also waited the new law before sending the voucher request, hoping in a refund. What I understood is that I'll have my money back only if the gig I bought the tickets for will not be rescheduled within 18 months. I didn't expect a refund right now, but at a certain point I was afraid something could go wrong (or worse, the whole thing is already wrong), cause I didn't even receive a simple confirmation that my request was being processed.

What does Cattelan mention Mika ?

    Hello @Kumazzz,

Alessandro Cattelan says that the episode will be based on three different time zones: his guests will be Mika (currently based in Athens) and the chef Giorgio Locatelli (based in London), plus Anna (don't know who she is, honestly), and each of them will tell how their lives are going on and how they feel during this peculiar period

  9. My fourth (and last) gig of the Revelation Tour, and the one I enjoyed the most.
I'm not sure what made the difference, maybe I feel a different vibe from Mika when he performs in small venues, he seems to be more relaxed and spontaneous, or maybe I was just happy to be at home.
Anyway, I started queuing early in the afternoon with my friends @pupaclaudia  Luciana and Barbara, we had a good time chit-chatting (even if late in the afternoon it started being colder and foggy, which made me eager to enter the venue ASAP) and we gained a very good spot in front of the short "T" side.
The set list was a regular one, the audience was warm and captivated I really loved his jokes about the killer candy.
I mean, he's not only fluent but he really understands Italian habits and environment, besides showing a good amount of sense of humor.
We didn't wait for him after the show, but we still spent a short time outside the venue waiting for the parking lot to empty, praising the show and our good luck when he walked just among us during Big Girl.
    And now heading to Verona!

  10. The part about the Greek island:

    Your blissful thought?

I’m obsessed by theaters: I collect scale models, I dream of owing one, possibly with an internal restaurant. (Ponders a few second) And Greece.

    What do you mean?

There’s an island I’m now visiting often, a place praised as a communist enclave: the first time I got there accidentally, by a yacht sailing under theTurkish flag. The biggest defiance to the local people, let’s say a perversion.

What do you mean by communists?

As a reaction to the financial crisis, the port, the hospital and the other services are all run by the community

    So, you get there and…

They even didn’t want us to go ashore, they started insulting us, I could hear a chant of yelling “malaka” (assholes), and I reckoned it was terrific, so I stopped there a whole week, almost a torture for the Turkish crew

    Which island is it?

I prefer not to say, because I have rented a house there: every morning when I got up a villager was waiting for me in the kitchen to have a coffee together. Their lives, their secrets, inspired me so much that I started writing again

Did you take part to their daily life?

Including the pagan rituals (he laughs and laughs), one of them wanted to kill me.

    What?

He chased me holding a knife; luckily a lady rescued me in her living room

    Why?

This mad man, slightly drunk, was persuaded I want to seduce his girlfriend, but this is a complete nonsense, something merely fictional, a misunderstanding on the girl’s side

Didn’t they know you are gay?

They don’t even know who I am; and to add more once, during a ritual, they dressed me up as a goat, and I was supposed to dance wearing this 42 kilos costume. At a certain point I had to run away ‘cause I was about to throw up, and someone found me lying on the floor

What did you say to the girl?

Maybe only “thanks, but the best I can for you is drinking a beer together”

Do you often meet tempting women?

    Luckily not, it’s quite embarrassing

Is there something else that you'd specifically like me to translate?

It's quite a long interview, and I have no time enough to do it all at once, these days

  11. Interview in the Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano yesterday
    Highlights:
Lebanese and Italian food, home cooking, eating at the restaurant and Mika's grandmother rejecting the food after almost finishing it, and then refusing to pay
    Music as a job
Mika's adventures in a small Greek island where he accidentally ended up by a Turkish yacht and then rented a house
    More to come 😉

He answered seriously, but it didn't help much - he talked nearly 40 minutes without giving much new info about the song or the video. :lmfao: So, some things seem to be too personal (hey, I thought it was revelation time? :mf_rosetinted::naughty:), others he wants us to find out ourselves. Basically we are still where we were before - but yeah, it'd have surprised me if he had suddenly started to explain things, that's not him - he loves giving us homework. :lmfao:  Anyway, the way I understood it not everything in the video does indeed relate to the song, but is just the director's interpretation - so we have two stories there that are connected to each other and have things in common, but one is Mika's and one is the director's story.

Happy that he answered one of my questions - although he managed to talk around that I wanted to know why a "female" hand (he just explained the hand vs planets thing, which is pretty obvious to me), and said he won't tell about the goose, but if we listened to his interviews we might know. Now where are the Italian and French speakers who understand all the interviews, can we find what he means? :teehee:

Oh yeah, and indirectly he answered another one of my (and many others) questions by saying it's not a romantic love song. Ah well, it'd have been too easy. :aah:

Honestly I can't recall any goose (OCA, in Italian) reference in Italian interviews, unless it's something still unreleased or cut out.
The only possible link that comes to my mind is the one to the Oca Giuliva theater company, which created some props for Mika's last tour and also for Stasera Casa Mika, but honestly it doesn't seem such a substantial point to me

This is a part of Mika appears.

    ( I can't understand anything what Mika says... )

He said nothing relevant, he only recalled that at the time of his A-levels he was quite tired and nervous (because he hated school 😆), and that every little break he could take felt like he was eating the most delicious biscuit or drinking the most remarkable tea he had in his life. So he felt a little guilty, knowing that people should have been studying, and they were listening to the radio instead, but encouraged them to enjoy every single spare moment.
Then the host asked him if, when he delivers a single or an album ,he has the same feeling of being under exam. The answer is no, the situation is different because of course there's expectation about the reactions, but issuing a new song or album is his personal choice and it's under his control. He finally wished good luck to the students and said goodbye

Scusatemi!

Poi tutto sta a quanto sei disposta a spendere.

    Le trovi tranquillamente su Amazon
