Are you sure you don't want to colead the project with Missrully? You're still very much needed here 

I thought that having just Amye's video vertical was actually making it look like a theater opening, but oh well. 

Also Helen, we all love you, we all need you for this project, but there is a way to speak to people I think... You could have said it all a little bit nicer, I felt bad for the others... Other than that, I'm happy with the turn this project is doing

I LOVE THIS VERSION !  Now the only thing we'd need is to, maybe, all redo a video with the backing track so you can all be on the same rythm? But maybe wait for the lacking vids like mine before so we know which part goes where first   (I'm almost not sick anymore, soon I'll be able to make mine! Yay!)

Here's the poem I wrote for Mika. 

The video is brilliant, but I think it would be better to have LYL as one block, and maybe other things before and after.

Also, it's 2016 next year, not 2017.

 

A Poem For Mika.

 

I first heard your voice on a day when it was raining

All around me, people were complaining

Then, on the radio, I heard you singing

You sang 'Love Today' and my heart began winging

It flew to a better place

It landed in a brighter space

When you sang your words and your beautiful tune

You brought the sun on that wet afternoon

The sky was no longer grey

And I began to love today

 

From that moment I sailed on a musical ocean

Which sent my life spinning in cartoon motion

Then I met the boy who knew too much

Your music gives the whole world, that golden touch

And as sure as the sun still shines high above

Mika, you are the origin of this love

A love that comes to you from near and far

To say, how wonderful you are

 

You are our good guy who was fated to be born

In the land of Lebanon, which war had torn

You left that land, as a refugee, to roam

Through Europe, to England, which you now call home

But your past is something you never forget

And your heritage is something you never regret

You heard the cries in the land where your life had begun

And returned, to bring goodwill to refugees in Lebanon

So Mika, I'm convinced, that when your life is through

That's a gorgeous poem if I've ever seen one 

Also I think that all the singing should be in the one block, I don't like it all interrupted!!! Love all the extra bits though, jus maybe put them at the start/end and you are very welcome to use my gif !!! And some rhythms are way off but we can soon fix that !!!

I back that up 100% ! That would sound better if all the videos were one after the other, and maybe put Mika's "reactions" a little before the end of each other while still having the sound of the video on, do you know what I mean, as a blend? 

That's what I thought as well, so I wrote a typed one.

I might do that as well, but  wonder if he can't read a written one though because in a french interview he wrote a note himself after reading a written note so, I don't know ! But it would be too risky depending on one's writting ! 

That's what we've done till now. 

 

I tried to put the singers one after another, but the video was a little bit monotonous in that way.

 

So I thought about adding Mika's picture in the middle, like we could imagine his reaction.

 

At the end only the writing - "Happy New Year, Mika!" - would be boring. 

 

That's why the Idea of Firework came.

I like it but some parts don't fit the rythm does it? And maybe the reaction are a bit long? Just giving ideas here

I don't think that using this drawing in our common video is such a great idea.

 

It would be lost in the middle of singing and different faces.

Oh my God. This drawing makes me feel so many emotions. Not only is it beautifuly drawn, but there's this rare sparkle that makes a drawing come to life. You did it perfectly Lollie, so much talent it's unbelievable. I'm on the brink of tears, I'm not even joking !

I kinda lowkey blame Mika vividly for that right now like, THANK YOU MAN.

Thank you! I started with a pair of plain canvas shoes. I used acrylic paints, and finished them with a water-based sealer. LOTS of patients and inspiration were needed to make them! 

And it pays off ! It's absolutely beautiful !   

For those of you who'd like to try them, I found two different links of plain white canvas shoes that are pretty cheap: here and here ! 

I also found water based sealer for cheap here, so you have pretty much all it takes to make those beauties 

EDIT: I got the wrong water based sealer, which one did you use Mya?

My Mika bracelet!

 

There's actually a story here: I started this when I wasn't a huge fan - I simply liked Happy Ending and Grace Kelly, and loved the colors on the bracelet. I thought, I like those 2 Mika songs, and this pattern's pretty, so why not. So I started it, worked on it on and off for while, and then abandoned it about halfway through. Fast forward 6 months or so: the Mika love hits me HARD. And then I go "WAIT! I have that bracelet I didn't finish!" and I finished the second half in like a week  

I wear it almost every day 

 

(if any brave souls want to make their own, here's the pattern http://www.braceletbook.com/pattern_alpha/9512.html- but I warn, it was a pain to make XD the style of bracelet is really difficult at first - though it does get much easier with practice)

I am very beginner at piano, and I don't know that much. I don't know how to read music. But I love to watch some one playing !

 

I tried to do Underwater just by looking some videos on youtube. It's not that bad but not really good neither !

I hope one day I will know how to play piano !

Thank you    I've never had any lesson, I'm self-taught, and you can easily do the same too Just look up some tutorials and try to learn with books or free lessons online how to read a music sheet, it's not all that hard once you get the hand of it 

So, concretely, who does what now? I need a post that tells me exactly who's gonna do what because it's all confused.

No this is supposed to be the second verse I think, the french version is supposed to be the spanish part of Live Your Life. 

But now I'm confused, who's doing what concretely? Haha 

I meant how are we gonna share it? 

You take the first 2 lines and I take next 2 lines or vice versa?

How is it convenient for you?

Or you have another idea?

Are you talking about the spanish speaking part or my original verse?

We could do both together actually ! Like you do the 4 first lyrics in the verse and me the next 4, and you do the first two lyrics in the speaking part and i do the two lasts? That way we split it and I sing the "hardest" part of the speaking lyrics 

Then we'd have to film two videos as it's two different parts, and I guess we need to export them somewhere, I think they already said how earlier in this topic
