So it seems he's in the UK today for The One Show? If people are asked to send in questions, that doesn't sound like it's prerecorded. So he's either there live, or at least on the phone.

It happened to him to be in the studio via internet on a screen. Was it before Eurovision?

But maybe he is already in the UK for the preparations of The Piano?

They have to have some rehearsals like it was for the first season.

It's here, the Exchange Court runs through both the Lower Mall and Upper Mall levels (basically ground floor and 1st floor). The ground floor is an open space, the upper area is enclosed.

Oh, thank you Andrea. I couldn't find the Exchange Court on the Google Map - but it seems to be the name of the mall part.

It's Venice! Hadn't expected that. I wonder what he's doing there... do we know who the man and the woman in the boat are?

Aren't it his friends living in Venezia?

The guy from conservatory who played the piano with Mika.

I don't remember his name now.

    EDIT: Giovanni and Servane Giol.

The guy has a beard so I am not 100%sure. But another one stearing the boat can be Giovanni.

There was an event the 17th of April in Venise. Servane posted some stories.

Aww this sounds so fun! I'd love to be there, just to replay that scene from the movie. :lol3: :wub2:

I was checking yesterday on the Google maps where it is. I will try to find it. But it looks like it's a huge mall. I hope there will be some signs to find it 😜

Getting very excited about this now!!! I'm beginning to wonder what Mika might perform, I imagine it will be towards the end again. I'm thinking either SITM or Billy Brown. Or both!!! :biggrin2:

I doubt he'll sing one of his new French songs (shame, but also understandable) but maybe something from MNIMH would also work 🤔

I think it should be something with a piano line.

    Over My Shoulder

    Tiny Love, Blue Eyes (!)

Or maybe something from his UK tour like Popular Song? Or Good Guys? Or Billy Brown?

“The Voice”: Mika had promised a “superb” battle between Oléma and Marie-Flamme, he was right

The two young women tried to get their ticket to the next stage by reprising “L’Enfer” by Stromae this Saturday, April 13.

“You did great,” their coach told them, proud of their perfect harmony, unanimously praised.

From his chair installed in the middle of the stage, Mika had warned. “It’s going to be superb, you’ll see,” he said before advising his comrades to “put on their seat belts”. For this second session of “The Voice” battles, the coach pitted two extremely delicate talents against each other. On the one hand, the fairy Oléma who seduced at the blind auditions with “Mad World”. On the other, the Viking warrior passionate about mermaids, Marie-Flamme, who “brought out the geek” in the “Grace Kelly” singer.

Mika is not doing young women a favor by reserving “L’Enfer” for them, a powerful title by Stromae which evokes depression. “A challenge” for the main stakeholders, who took it up with flying colors from the start. Enough to give chills to all the coaches. “It was enormous, extremely precise, of a very high level,” notes Vianney. “There was not a false note even though they both sang in harmony the entire time. It’s very hard to do for such a long time.” It's very strong, well done girls."

Bigflo even had "the impression of seeing a group", "forgetting for a moment" the stakes of this musical confrontation. Because only one of the two could access the cross-battles. “They are fabulous, but what a discovery!”, enthuses Mika. "You did something beautiful, with a very high technical level. We have everything: we have the emotion, the appropriation of a song in different vocal genres. And that's great! You must be so proud ", he adds. He will end up lining up behind his colleagues who had mostly chosen Oléma for the future. The magic of the fairy strikes again.

For me it was the most touching performance. They really made me cry. Because of their interpretation but as well because of the lyrics which are very sad. So different to the original and so strong.

  8. Here is my report from London gig.

I flew to London on the day of the concert. I landed at Luton airport early in the morning and I had plenty of free time until the evening. Especially since I thoughtfully bought a ticket on the balcony. The weather did not spoil the fans who had been waiting in line since 4am. Very strong wind, rain every now and then. Sometimes there are glimpses of sunshine. I visited the fans at noon. I said hello and exchanged a few words.

With such weather, I skipped sightseeing and spent most of the time in the hotel room.

Around six o'clock in the evening I met @Kasia Mousa - a fan who has been living in London for years. Her friend and her son were with her, as was Kasia's son. Both eight-year-old boys have recently become big fans of Mika and were already looking forward to their first concert. I gave them glowing bracelets which they happily wore on their wrists.

At 6:30 p.m. the public began to be admitted. It went quite smoothly except for one glitch. Before the concert, you could buy the right to "fast entry" - a special express queue - for £25. As it turned out, security began to let everyone in at once: those from the "fast entry" and those from the "normal" queue.

I found my seat (Kasia, her friend and children were sitting together in the next rows) and waited for the concert to start. On either side of me were MFC fans whom I met for the first time. They also got glowing bracelets from me. Hello @teenagedreamer98 and a girl from Mexico living in Spain (sorry I can find your nickname here).

The curtain was hung. So there will probably be a cage and wings too! There were none in Wolverhampton or Manchester due to the size of the theaters.

A few minutes after 8:30 p.m. we heard the intro to Bougez. Of course the audience went hysterical! And no one was bothered by the fact that at the very end of the song the left wing broke. Even Mika wouldn't let the technician help him. He just sort of managed it by himself for the last few seconds of the song.

Mika alluded to this during Origin Of Love, when in his prayer he thanked God for destroying his wings and causing him to fall hard to the ground. Does this mean that now he can feel free and have fun with his audience? But it doesn't really matter because "I thank you that you found me," Mika said, pointing to the audience.

Mika performed at the Hammersmith Apollo 14 years ago.

Mika's family home is located near this place and as he recalled, as a child, when he passed this hall, he often checked whose name was above the entrance...

I think that every concert in London is like a return to the beginning of his career. I hope that after such a long absence from the British market, we will see further concert dates this time. Maybe after the next English-language album is released?

Mika returned to his childhood memories several times. Like when he was 13 yo and dancing in his room pretending to be Michel Hutchence from INXS.

London also had the chance to hear Billy Brown and Good Guys.

The audience sang every lyric very loudly. And I love such moments!!!!

By the way, look at the beautiful scenery, which is only visible from a  distance. When I was near the stage, such beautiful details escaped me.

As I mentioned, I had a seat on the balcony. So I was waiting for Big Girl. And for Mika, who gets to this part of the venue via various routes and stairs. Well, and he came!! It's amazing to see the reaction of people who suddenly see next to them an artist who was standing on stage a moment ago.

There was a group of young men sitting in the row in front of me who weren't very active. They didn't sing with us. They very rarely got up from their seats. And Mika stopped about a meter away from them. And everyone jumped up from their seats and even started turning their backs on Mika and taking selfies!

I've seen this reaction many times at concerts. Mika stands three feet in front of you, and instead of looking at him, you turn your back to him to take a selfie. What a strange world.

By the way. After the concert, I found out that Gabriel Lobao and Iris - participants of The Voice who live in London - were sitting on my right. You can even see Iris's face in my video. I didn't see Gabriel. Someone must have stand between us.

Mika also sang Popular. It's a song written based on the melody from the musical Wicked, which is still performed in London. I think it was the first time I heard this song live. And of course I sang loudly with the audience!!!!

Of course, you must watch the wonderful performance of Happy Ending with an English audience.

I won't describe every song performed that night.

Just Any Other World. If you look closely, you can see cards with flags appearing in the first rows. This was our fan action. There weren't many flags, but it wasn't about quantity.

Fans also showed their flags on the balcony. I had Polish one, of course. The fan next to me had a Mexican flag. Kasia, her friend and the boys had flags: Polish, Lithuanian, Egyptian and Palestinian. It was too dark to record it. Pity…

I have seen a video somewhere with Mika's face during this song but I can't find it now. (was it Karin's?)

In conclusion, the UK concerts were very important for Mika. It was obvious how moved he was by the audience's reception. It's true that we didn't hear French songs, and not every theater had all props on the stage, but was that the most important thing?

I hope that Mika will release another album in English and I will be able to go on another tour with him, this time in Great Britain.

More videos to watch on my YouTube channel.

After the concert, of course, we waited for Mika. However, his manager told us not to wait because Mika would not stop.

The next day he had to get up early and go to record at The Piano.

And The Piano is the next stop in my travels with Mika. Next week I'm going to Manchester to record the finale of the second season of The Piano!
