This is probably my favorite song on the new album, and I hope I’ll get to see him sing it live today!
I’ve tried recording myself singing an English version of the song, but the song itself is in a very awkward range for my voice, so I have to make some weird vocal jumps…

I think Jane Birkin could work wonderfully in English, if you do finish a recording please share it somewhere on the forum! 😊

I fall in love with this song a little bit more every time I hear it :wub2:

Did you ever announce what the “thing” was that you couldn’t talk about, back in 2023?

I did! It wasn't anything too major really, I had a fan letter printed in a magazine in regards to how much I enjoyed The Piano.

This is the post from The Piano thread that year 😊

After episode 1 of The Piano I immediately wrote a short review for a TV magazine here in the UK for their letters section and it got chosen! 😁

It's in today's copy of the magazine!

I would have liked the 'Star Letter' (they would have added a picture of The Piano for that) but I'm just so glad it got printed! :boing:

  3.    I think your thread is ok here for now. It really would be awesome if the Paris gig gets filmed, so fingers crossed it might happen! :crossed:

Personally I'm just not a fan of petitions only because in the past,  sadly I've never seen them make much of a difference even if they do get a high number of signatures 😕

Filming a gig takes a lot of time and planning, if for any reason the Paris gig isn't being filmed it would be short notice now to get the venue and Mika's management to organise it. But there's always hope and you never know, some part of the AC tour might get recorded anyway! For fans (like me) who can't go on this tour then a film really would be amazing! I can't see why there wouldn't be some kind of recording for this tour, Mika sure is making it extra special anyway!

I hope you still get enough signatures for this, and if you share it on social media more people will see it too 😊

  4.    I had such a lovely dream last night about meeting Mika. :cloud:

I went to a large arena where he was performing but for some reason I wasn't allowed into the concert hall. A young woman saw how upset I was and to try and make up for it she said she would get me one of the photobooks for free, she asked for my name and off she went. While I waited for her in a lobby area another woman told me that I could meet Mika after his performance, this would be enough for me and I couldn't quite believe it! The first woman came back with a photobook for me, it wasn't only signed by Mika but he had written a letter for me too and included 2 tickets for any of his upcoming shows! I was then taken to a back room of the venue where I could meet Mika, he was already in the room talking to someone (Mika wearing a lovely green suit), I suddenly felt really nervous and also too scared to disturb him 😅. I must have caught his attention because he waved me over to him, he told me that he knew who I was and that he was very happy to give me concert tickets and looked forward to seeing me at a future show. My mind went completely blank and all I could do was say "thank you" repeatedly but in a really quiet voice*. We both then had to leave, we waved each other goodbye as we went through different exits, me clutching the photobook feeling like it was such a dream.

And of course that's all it was! :aah:

*I highly likely reaction I would have in real life too! :sweatdrop:

  5.    Just to make people aware of something!

I've seen a lot of people using X (Twitter) to say they're looking for tickets or are interested in buying spares. Personally I wouldn't recommend using that site to discuss buying and selling. Recently I've seen a LOT of bot accounts that are only out there to scam you. I'm sure most of us here are Internet savvy and know a genuine human from a bot but please be careful when using social media to ask for tickets.

Some things to look out for:

    - accounts that look new and not well established

    - accounts that don't actually post anything themselves but only reply to other people in regards to tickets

    - bots tend to have an account name with many numbers in it. e.g something like mika9874517288

    - obvious spelling mistakes or mistakes with gig dates

    - repetitive posting with the exact same wording in every single post

    - accounts that try to take you to another site or ask only for bank transfers

If you're ever in doubt or an offer looks too good to be true then it's probably best to avoid it!

Either ask here about tickets or if you do use social media then tag MFC so your post can be seen by more people. There are also genuine fansale sites that only charge you face value too, so make sure to look out for those as well.

  6.    Have I missed something or is May genuinely empty of Mika gigs/events?

I'm not complaining, I actually think it's a good thing that Mika will have a months break before the summer festivals, he's gonna need all the sleep and rest he can get after the AC tour!

But knowing Mika he'll probably still find time to do some work too!

Sooooooo….today we watched Oppenheimer. It was so mumbly and badly produced that we had to use closed captions. Which we followed by watching the recorded episode of Sunday Morning from earlier today, which featured a segment about… how often people need to use cc for movies these days, especially for movies such as Oppenheimer, whose producer, Christopher Nolan, is famous for his unintelligible movies.

And right now as I reply to your post, guess what film is being discussed on TV? OPPENHEIMER! :lmfao:

    Hi!

I changed my plans and I have a spare seated place for Strasbourg this Sunday.
    It's a front row seat : gradin F,  place 105.

Send me an email if interested : isajf414@gmail.com.

    Hi,

just to make you aware that we can't use the word 'selling' so I've also edited your post here and had to remove your image. Sorry, but it can get us into trouble as we're legally not allowed to "sell" on MFC but you can still discuss things privately with other members :)
