  1. Hello @MissMagpie :welcomeani:

It's never too late to join the Mika party! We're always up for a good time here! :biggrin2:

I'm noticing a lot more German fans recently, I guess those new festival dates are really working for Mika to encourage more people to discover his awesome music! I'm sure you'll make friends here too :)

Will you be seeing him this year?

I understand that there have been postcards in Mika‘s merch store, but there isn‘t anything anymore …

There were the Rite of Spring cards from a while ago and long before now there were TBWKTM themed postcards too. Unfortunately these aren't available on any official Mika store now. If you're wanting official Mika postcards I would suggest to keep checking auction sites and online market places (Ebay, Vinted etc.). Otherwise it might come down to printing them yourself.

We do have this thread where fans can say they have spare merch available, you could always ask here too:

Some months ago the guitarist of singer Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine posted this on his story for her birthday, indicating that she had once upon a time toured with Mika. This must have been circa 2011, going off what he writes.

Struggling to find anything else about this too, it's not something I've heard about before. The only other connection I've found is that in 2010 both Mika and Florence were at Nimes Arena on the same day, so I'm assuming that was for a festival, and they both had sets for Musilac Festival that same year too. Other than that I'm really not sure, hopefully someone who saw either Mika or Florence around 2011 might have more info! 🙂

I'm so unbelievably excited for tonight can't believe it's finally here!

I usually don't video or anything at gigs because I'm just so caught up in the whole thing but if there is a specific song you really wanted I can try and capture?

I'm collecting live performances of C'est la Vie from this tour, so if you can film that song that would be great!

    Hello everyone !!

I have two spare standing tickets for the Strasbourg gig ! On March 10th.

I can send them or give them in Strasbourg!

Edited your post as we're not allowed to use the words 'sell' or 'selling' on MFC, and also removed the price. It can lead to a bit of trouble for us, sorry!

You can still discuss things privately with other members of course :)

For anyone else with tickets they no longer need, please say you have spares or extras. Thank you.

  6. Hi and welcome @Deepblue :welcomeani:

I think with Mika's music there really is a song for every occasion and mood. There are times when a song plays or is released at just the right time and it's actually quite healing. A lot of his music has helped me out in the past too. I'm glad to hear Mika has had a positive impact on you and that you'll get the chance to see him live very soon, it's something very magical for sure!

This thread might interest you for more Mika content!

Never openly shared this before, but after I finish some artwork I feel somewhat deflated for a couple of days. The artwork was created in a rush of inspiration, euphoria and many colours and shapes… but when it’s done, all of that temporarily lays to rest and I can’t even look at the drawing anymore: because I will only see its flaws.

(Eventually I can look at it again, but it needs some time.)

And then the process starts again when I start something new :biggrin2: I am hopeless!

I think this is fairly common amongst creative people (and others). I totally get this too. I'm always hyped to start something new, either a drawing, making something or embroidery (which I'm currently doing), throughout the process I'm usually excited to see where it's going and look forward to the end product. When I'm done it's usually a feeling of "Wow I made that!" but five minutes later it's tucked away somewhere until I can look at it again 😅

So yeah I can definitely relate!

    Any favourite artworks/artists?

With well known famous artists I'd say Manet and Van Gogh. They've both created works that are now my favourites, A Bar at the Folies-Bergère, Starry Night and Sunflowers.

But I also like more modern art and I've come to really appreciate digital art/artists over the years!

  9. Hi @willprest and welcome :welcomeani:

This thread can be helpful for understanding the forum a bit better:

Mika's music really does help those in the LGBT+ community feel represented, I can relate!

You'll find lots of fans here (and friends I'm sure) that find positivity through Mika's music.

  10.    Such a shame Mika didn't win! Hopefully he will go on to do more film scores.

Had another search to see if Zodi will be released in the UK and came across this voice actress' website, Ruth Urquhart. Here in her news section she mentions being the dub voice for Zodi's mum, this is from Feb 2023 though, but it does sound promising!

    https://www.ruthurquhart.com/extra-extra

Not sure if this is too interesting but Zodi is also on this list of films on Quick Look Films which is a US based site (there's no release information though). It's in alphabetical order so Zodi is way at the bottom btw!

  11.    I'm really in love with the music video, it fits the song so well! I wasn't really expecting a story telling video anyway, I had a feeling it would be somewhat calm and not done in an over the top way. Even with the falls (intentional or not) there's an elegance running through the whole video. I love how at the start it's as though Mika is his awkward self and has to use the ice bear to take control (and at about 36 seconds in I love the shadow affect of the dancers!), but then the dancers appear around him and he's suddenly this more confident person showing another side of him when he changes into that gorgeous jacket! And the final change when he's in the green glitter suit, he's alone again but clearly more himself. Especially standing on the resurfacing machine (the man just can't help himself can he?! 😆), he's free!

Now with the video to accompany the song it evokes a whole new aspect of self confidence and it's just perfect!

But he looks alot like a border collie went on a date with a golden.

At first I was wondering if he is a border collie mix! I can see a bit of shep in him though.
