  1. Had a reply! There is a Patrons sale before the members sale.

"We do go on sale to our Patrons before member on sale meaning that our ticketing system would have chosen the tickets nearest the front as the venues are set up to fill from the front.  You still have excellent seats in the stalls which offer great views of the stage."

Still worth checking, they might have cancelled seats to put back into the general sale.

Edit: get me, I sound like a pro! Just realised it's still less than a year since I attended my first proper gig (New York - I don't count the Paris Philharmonie as a gig, that was in a class of its own). :naughty:

  2. Oh my goodness. What an amazing episode! I so enjoyed that.

    Lucy, just incredible.

The young boy who played Iris. Future star right there.

The man crying while playing Chopin.

Josh, his chickens, and attitude to his friends who think he's wasting his time. Good lad.

    Judges moments:

That comment. I howled. Sorry Andy.

    Mika peeking through the curtain.

Mika being so animated about the boy who sang Iris.

Mika spotting the bad pub singer's playing talent and asking Claud to make him shut up and focus on the piano - and Claud doing it!

Both judges agreeing the woman should dump her selfish partner and focus on her singing.

"Please be good. Please be good. Please be good."

Both judges being so utterly moved.

    Wonderful.

  3. Can I have a rant?

     BUSES!!!!  :badword:

Stagecoach are such a joke. They are incapable of running a network to schedule. Either so early you don't know they've been, or so late you think you must have missed it. That's if they turn up at all. So you stand in the cold dark mizzle hoping one comes, or get a different route and have an extra walk.

    Bunch of :clown:

Anyone else not know their neighbours by name but you do know the animals/pets names instead? Just me?

Similar. With me it's more - I don't know the person who lives there, but they've a lovely dog/cat/parrot. :naughty:

I feel like this needs it's own definition!

    Snarflabble

    /snɑːf 'labble/

    verb INFORMAL. MADE-UP

To consume something very quickly or greedily which then leads to a sudden state of overwhelming excitement and giddiness.

e.g "They snarflabbled up Mika's new music and become so overjoyed with excitement that nothing could distract them from it."

:clap:Well, that's certainly less offensive than what was in my head! :lmfao:

  6. It's a different concept. Those on The Piano are not playing to compete, they don't know they are being assessed, so it's more relaxed. Xfactor is usually people who want to impress judges to be made a star. Although the better contestants are usually the less desperate entrants. And the show runners play up the competition angle where possible - creating tension etc. So it's not always easy viewing, but it has some gems.

"pop star who can play the piano".

That was infuriating, a little research would have shown how much more there is to him.   Unfortunately, there's a deep cynicism in British tabloids, they love to make snide remarks, and pounce on anything they can turn into a negative. And tv critics are generally lazy.

Honestly, it scares me when he does things that will feature in the British press, because I know how bad they can be. So it is good to see the comments coming around to him with "how wrong I was" and acknowledging him as "extraordinary".

Yes, I got the same message, on TunnelBear only the first 500 MB are free.

I gave up using Hola long time ago, it turned out they have some serious security problems and have been removed as extension from Chrome, so be careful : https://www.top10vpn.com/reviews/hola-free-vpn/

Oh! Once I'd logged in to TunnelBear, it said the free trial had been upgraded to 2000MB. Handy. :biggrin2:
