Just a random thought, Mika has been doing a lot of ice skating posts, what if he's ice-skating in the Jane Birkin MV?

You're not the only one thinking that, a few have suggested it on sm and other threads. Would be amazing.

And if he's not yet too proficient, the wobbliness would complement the lyrics about not being comfortable. The clip where he tumbles could be a planned move to show him falling uncertainly while everyone laughs - "tous ces regardes qui m'assassine", "tu moques et tu ris" (quoted from memory on the run, apologies for spelling).

Love watching the people in the background. "Don't look into the camera, don't look into the camera .. oh sh...".  "Huh, a tall guy and an Asian guy. No idea." "Stare into the distance, don't make eye contact.. ok now look the other way, play it cool..." "Dunno who these guys are. Better not miss my train"  "Has he passed? Nan! That was Mika!! Ffs...". "Hi.. OH HI! giggle blush"

    Zazie 400 000€
    Mika 500 000 €
    Vianey 250 000€
    Bigflo & Oli 120 000 € chacun

    The jurors are disillusioned?

Unlike Dancing with the Stars, the tele-hook coaches did not see their chairs filled this year. And for some, it hurts the butt!

They are the cornerstones of the program.
Four stars, or rather five, splitting the duo Bigflo and Oli, who promise us to choose and accompany the voices of tomorrow towards stardom. But who, above all, must put on a show on set! Few artists have this combo of talent and entertainment. This explains why we often see the same personalities, this year marking the return of Mika, as we found Zazie last season. But these historic coaches of the show may well be very popular, TF1 can no longer match the fees offered a few years ago. This is how Zazie, who would have initially been paid 900,000 euros, would have increased to 600,000 euros last year, to end up, according to our information, at 400,000 euros this season. Mika is the other loser. In 2019, he would have won a million... when, in 2024, it would only be half! Vianney, whose previous salaries are difficult to know precisely, would be paid around 250,000 euros. Finally, the only ones promoted in all this would be Bigflo and his brother Oli, who should pocket 120,000 euros each, significantly better than the 150,000 euros they would have received for two previously. It also remains to pay Camille Lellouche and Jenifer, “bonus” coaches who would be worth around 100,000 euros. But hey, these small additional expenses are almost trivial compared to the million euros put aside at the expense of Mika and Zazie. The fact remains that the money comes mainly from advertising revenue, and therefore from the audience, which falls every year...
And that these savings could therefore only have a micro effect.

    Zazie €400,000
    Mika €500,000
    Vianey €250,000
    Bigflo & Oli €120,000 each

Seems to be a celebrity gossip magazine, I wouldn't pay it any attention. Note they don't cite their sources or if the information has been fact checked.

If you'd like to talk about it, you could always open a thread for it.

(That's my subtle way of saying maybe you're getting a bit off topic ;))

Besides, as fun as this theory is, I think the chances of him currently training for a dancing on ice type tv show are slim to none but what do I know.

Yeah but if he starts now, imagine how good he'll be in 20 years time...

My Mum saw Mika's video and questioned whether he's training for 'Dancing on Ice'! 😆

It's a show just like you described, ice skating for celebrities! But I'm not sure if there's anything like it outside the UK, is there??

Oh god, please no, not that. It's a show for dried up celebs in the frantic last gasp of their careers, not for a talented musician with many years of creativity still in him.

Ohh I had never seen this before and have been missing out. That was mesmerizing!!

Gosh, I remember watching that live, then being allowed to stay up to watch the replay later.

Don't mind me, I'm just imagining Mika doing a rendition of Torvill and Dean's 'Bolero'...

Andy's a bit bigger than Torvill.. :naughty:

  7. Last night...

I dreamt I was lost in a small rural town somewhere in a different (unknown) country. Trying to work out the bus routes, stops and schedules, I stepped through a very grotty looking chipped wooden door, into a beautiful Chinese restaurant and takeaway. All deep red velvets and golden chandeliers. I remember looking around thinking 'This is a takeaway??' 😲 I walked past the tables to the back of the dining area where there were some freestanding local information boards set up with various bus schedules pinned up. Bit odd in that setting, but somehow dream me had known this was where to find the info.

As I was browsing the boards, I became aware of the table beside me. Or rather, the people sitting at it. Very elegant but relaxed, all dressed in black. I fist saw an unknown chap, then next to him I realised it was Lang Lang. Then I saw the long black hair of the woman sitting next to him - yep, Claudia. Holding my breath and not daring to look too quickly in case the dream changed, I carefully slid my eyes over the back of the person sat in the fourth chair, nearest to me. Oh my god yes it's Mika!!!! :excite:

Then... Panic. Uncertainty. What to do? Do I go over? I don't want to interrupt them. But, it looks as though they're finishing? I can't miss this opportunity! Lead feet kept me stood watching. Then, they finished the meal, put money on the table, and stood up to get their coats. As he pushed his chair back Mika actually stood next to me, and I realised the coat stand was handily located next to the info board! Emboldened, I just looked across and said quietly "I love you guys" (as in, The Piano team"). Mika focused on me with a questioning look on his face, so I gestured to the group and repeated "I love you guys". Then I gestured to Mika and said "I love you". I smiled and shrugged embarrassed, as public declarations and interruptions aren't my thing, but Mika grinned, hugged me, kissed me on both cheeks, then walked outside with me chatting about how I'd become a fan and about his music. :cloud:

Outside, he kissed my cheek again, then waved as he departed with the others. It was cold, raining, and I was still lost, but I didn't care. Cloud 9 was my home! :swoon:

I woke up then. Never did find out which bus I needed. Dammit. :naughty:
