lunafish Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 my opinioneven i have 2 partners already, i still dun mind getting another...hehe..... coz i always want to learn more about other countries' culture, what's it in their daily life, so i request some old mag / newspaper in their countries as i think i wont travel those countries in my lifetime somethings that we eat / see everyday might be new to others that's why i welcome different countries the problem isnt about how many partners i get... what concerns me is if my partner is a active member, so i already started to pm my partners, chatting a bit that would be going more smooth when someone want to pair with someone, they can pm each other so after both of them agree, then the pair's name can place to the list, though it should be taking more times and work ... lcmlcm Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 I think for now we are just sticking with 2, with 3 as an absolute maximum.The pairs will be reshuffled every 2-3 months, and should have been done twice by now had it not been for the introduction of MM2 and Humphrey. I was waiting until they were securely closed/underway. because i will leave HK in winter so i think i wont join next time..... That's exactly what I'm thinking as well. Wendi Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 For those who are new to MM I think its worth remembering that some people are NOT able to be on the computer every day due to travel, work commitments, ill health etc, so if there is a delay in PM's being answered its not because the person does not want to take part, it real life intruding! I have to second this. I have had alot of complains about people only replying 'once or twice a day'. Which to me is perfectly well infact very good considering (as wendi mentioned) alot of people are busy or away from the computer for most of the day due to time zone differences, work, school, college, uni, health, traveling and generally spending time with their family and friends. Projects like this are designed for you to get to know eachother before sending off parcels and i feel that to be able to do that successfully, you also have to appreciate that some people are not available 24/7 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
