I've never truely understood the difference between muffins and cupcakes. Is it the icing? If these are cupcakes and not muffins, and therefore not the topic of this thread, accept my apologies. I made these a while ago. This thread is making me muffin-hungry. I think I shall try to make some again tomorrow. These somehow ended up concave (???), but at least they are colourful: These were a bit more successful, the icing sugar one was for my mother, who prefers to steer clear of comas, etc. The rest were for me: These were for "Cauldron Cakes" for a Harry Potter party. I'm not sure how to explain the difference really... all I can say is that muffins are classier than cupcakes and come in different flavours, whereas cupcakes are kind of one standard flavour.
