I found this thread/board via Google Alerts lol!

It depends on what kind of music you like, they have so many different influences that they tend to sound a bit different from song to song. Their old stuff (first & second albums) are alot more screamo/hardcore-ish, their album City of Evil is alot more mainstream, and their latest album, Avenged Sevenfold is alot more themselves, very 'eclectic' as they like to put it constantly lol. I would definately recommend 'Afterlife', it's one of their most popular.

I'm sure it's on their Myspace!

And they're rumored to be going to the UK in 09, but they're also rumored for the Take Action Tour in 09, but the bassist says that they'll be writing in Spring, lol. So who knows!

In response to lollipop_monkey...

First of, sorry for my absense from the forum :sorry:.

Second, like said before, Avenged Sevenfold cover a few genres.

Try these songs...

Afterlife - Good rock song, won Best Guitar Riff in Total Guitar

Beast And The Harlot - Fantastic rock song, maybe their most reckonised

Dear God - Really good slow, emotional song

Almost Easy - Pretty new, one emote describes it :punk:

Plz reply to tell me what you think!

With my band we played 2 of their songs, Strenght of the world and Warmness on the soul. I kinda grew to like these songs though me singing the latter was a disaster as the keyboardplayer started too low and I couldn't reach the notes and blah:roftl:
