I hope to be doing some more cleaning here soon which will involved a page that lists the important / hot things and removes most the clutter in the main forums. Should make it easy to stay up to date in bite size bits.

Also, a monthly newsletter should be in the works soon that will cover most points

He has a few years of "Story telling" planned out for his music and Universal are pushing for at least 2010 still being active Then again, if he goes the 'Queen' route he will be around a lot longer than that

He may do gigs closer that way later in the year / next year. If not why don't you start saving some cash together for a B&B / Hotel of some sort? Could get one for about £30 for the night? Get a mate to go with you. Thats travel, tickets, place to stay, food etc all for under £100 Perhaps even ask as a Birthday prezzy?
