  1. You are all so kind. I guess my FBeye-ing must have made somewhat of a small impact on the forum:biggrin2:

Yup, nothing goes un-noticed by you! I think you're always half a day ahead of the rest of us with news/pics/etc due to your location...our virtual eyes and ears!

Well Done and Good Luck! x

  2.

Another time I get to reference my fave boys...Brett & Jermaine

The Rain vid instantly reminded me of this!!! :naughty::roftl:

I do love the rolling around on the forest floor bit where his midrif shows but I'm not sure about the new age tensts and crystals etc.....

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Also, I's so totally confused by the TV premier of BIOTG then this being announced as the next single and the video just popping up on the net!!!!

  3. Ok............I've been really brave and videoed me playing/singing Toyboy in the Key of E!!!

Even though I've done it in a higher key it's still hard to sing as Mika's voice is up and down all over the place! He doesn't make it easy to copy him! So egnore the singing, it's just to show where the notes come for anyone wanting to learn the piece.

I'll upload another video of me just playing the song in the Key of A later for those who want to learn it just as he's playing it....oh, and for those who can sing in as deep a voice as Mika!!! :naughty:

Phew! This is the first time I've ever been able to play something right through AND sing along!!!!!:blush-anim-cl:

    dear all:)

    im a newie! :biggrin2:

after reading yrs suggestions, i started to work on the right hand intro part of TOY BOY

    finally got it!!

    A major 4/4 time

    AC#AE D#CAD#/ DBG#E B(low) G#(low) / A(low) E / A(low) G#(low)/

    A(low) E / A(low)

    / /= one bar

sorry that i dun know how to express it better:boxed:

the rhythm thing is quite simple...

it seems to work quite well...:aah:

try to play with the song.... u may find it match!

hope u guys can try it:blush-anim-cl:

    This might help! :wink2:

  4. Do people really not know that is Mika? I must be overly obsessed because I think I could instantly recognize his voice if he was whispering in some foreign language in a fake accent 30 feet away. :teehee:

Distorted. I wouldn't say it's garbled at all. He's just speaking with an American accent. It sounds like a New Orleans accent to me, specifically.

    Thanks

I must say my first thought was that is was Mika himself, but I thought reading an interview where it says that he recorded it from a movie. So I got doubting!

I have to say I presumed that it was a famous film clip from an old film....but had thought about him doing the Grace kelly stuff himself....but didn't think it sounded like him!!

    Christine ru sure?! :blink::roftl:

  5. Oh enjoy. I used to work in the student union building at IC, in Beit Quad. In the springtime I started hearing violins practicing. I assumed it was performers from the RAH but on the second day I realized it must be coming from somewhere else and discovered the RCM was next door.

Don't get lost in the neighbourhood. :wink2:

I'm staying in the quad!!!! :biggrin2:

Now that I'm learning the piano (doing Grade 5 just now) I'd just die to get into the RCM one day so may try to have a nose around whilst I'm there. Funnily enough last time I was "in the area" I looked at the outside and thought..."oooh, Meeks went there" and walked on to the next location...without ever thinking that I'd take up the piano 7 months later!!! Weird eh??? :roftl::roftl:

I remember our "special" PM's about your time there.......

However, I'm going with a non Mika lover and as he's in NY there's no need to wander... :roftl::roftl::roftl:

  6. Dudette, it was in the newspapers:roftl: At least here in Holland ofcourse:biggrin2:

Well, I don't read them but there's nothing online to say any of the UK one's have run an article...

You racey Dutchies are ahead of the game! :naughty:

PS I'm off to London tomorrow and I'm staying in the Halls of Imperial college which is next door to RCM!! :biggrin2:

  7. I bought my copy of TBWKTM yesterday from HMV in the UK and asked the young guy at the counter how it had been selling during the day....he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know, I don't moniter the sales" so I said "oh, come on!!! This is the biggest new release out today!!!" to which he replied...".....hmmmmmm...I don't like him" outraged, I turned to go then said " you, sonny, are in denial!!!!!" :roftl::roftl::roftl:

  8. Has anyone accessed the bonus material yet??

There are three videos from the UK TV show with Nick Grimshaw of him singing WAG, Dr John and I See You and a 32 page adobe doc with all the booklet painitng in full along with all the words.

    It's fascinating to read/look at!!! :wink2:

Oh, and I'm loving the Sadlers Wells cd....we did scream alot! :roftl::roftl::roftl:
