  1. Yes I think the hormones are to blame! I keep having bizarre dreams these days and when I tell them to my bf he looks at me like he wonders if he should bring me to the mental institution lol!!
  2. Less than a month!!! I had a dream last night that here we were at the oncert and the venue was almost empty... I felt so bad for him! and then he came on the stage wearing a LICM purple t-shirt (which was odd) and just started singing like that, there was no opening act. And he sang new songs that we haven't heard yet and they basically sucked... what a strange dream lol!!! One thing's for sure, the gig's gonna be nothing like my dream, it'll be AWESOME!!! I hope to get front row but wonder if it's super safe since I'm pregnant... but my belly's not huge and people usually behave in Montréal Mika gigs so I don't think I would get squished too hard either... Wish you could be there with us! Was gutted I missed you at the festival!! True... if he does small venues everywhere, it would just look a bit odd the set-up in a large venue. What would have been reeeaaaally cool is if he had time to do more than one night here. If he comes back for a festival then it's gonna be a bit hard for me cause for sure I'm gonna be huge by then LOL!
  3. Oh it would be lovely having you here in the summer! Do keep us posted Yes it is ridiculous how expensive it is to travel around in Canada... I do get why you're not coming here! I wish I could go to at least one other gig but it's not gonna be possible this time around...
  4. YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Got my tix and I can't wait!!!!!!! Not gonna miss him this time! Christine I'm sad you can't come, I was hoping to see you! Unfortunatly no touring for me this time, I'm gonna have to do only Montréal.
  5. GUTTED I can't go... Please enjoy it to the max for me, take pics and everything!!!
  6. It,s gonna be Roxy and Cath's first time!!!!! SOOOOO excited for them!!!! First time is always special

  8. Yep a little taurus! And her chinese astrological sign will be tiger! ggrrrrrr!! wow! beautiful drawing!!!! thx!! I SO can't wait to meet her!!
  9. May 12th, 2010 Well, had an appointment at the doctor's today and my belly now has an expiration date: May 17th! So she's not gonna be a gemini, sorry Guylaine and Sara! loll!! At least now I know I have max 5 days to go! I still hope she's gonna come out before and that I don't have to be induced! Good news is, apparently the baby is veeeery low, very well engaged, so the doctor says I should have an easy delivery. I hope she's right!!
  10. :roftl: my mom had 3 easy deliveries that were fast too... I hope genes have something to do with that!
  11. lol!! a lot of people told me that you're in your own world though, in your own bubble during delivery, so you're not reall aware of what happens around you... you have to be focused on your goal : your precious little baby!!
  12. It has been proven that now epidurals are very safe, all the doctors say it. I am not afraid of it, and I know tons of people who had it and had no long term effects whatsoever... I think it's a personal decision and you just have to be aware of the pros and cons
  13. :roftl: the way you described that I totally pictured the situation with the *rip* sound like somebody ripped their pants
  14. Epidurals are indeed injected into your back but it's now a very safe and common procedure... About splitting... lol... apparently when it does happen you don't feel it right away or it doesn't hurt cause the skin is so stretched... it's when it's healing that you feel the discomfort
  15. :roftl: yeah I know all about the pros and cons... but I will not hesitate to ask for it if I need it and I think no one should be ashamed of doing so. I think that machine thing is great though, gives you the best of both worlds it seems
  16. I'll see if I can handle it but I'll most probably end up begging for an epidural loll!! Cool thing we have at my hospital, is that the epidural is linked to a machine that allows you to control the amount of medication you get. They start of with a very light dose and you can increase it with a little pump thing if you feel the need to. Of course, the machine is programmed so you can't give yourself too much medication! But what's great about it is you can reduce the pain to a level you can handle, without having your lower body go completly numb. Because the epidural does tend to slow down labor and makes it harder to push properly.
  17. Yeah period pains are small contractions... but I don't know if there's a link between those and the kind of labor you're gonna have...
  18. taken from : http://www.babycenter.ca/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/braxtonhicks/#2 What are Braxton Hicks contractions? Some time towards the middle of your pregnancy, or maybe even earlier, you may notice the muscles of your uterus (womb) tightening. If you place your hands on your bare bump when this is happening, you can feel how hard your uterus becomes. Each tightening usually lasts for about half a minute, and probably won't cause you any discomfort. You may have this sensation once or twice an hour, a few times a day (Cheng and Caughey 2009). Not all of us feel these contractions. They get their name from John Braxton Hicks, the English doctor who first described them in 1872. You may be aware of Braxton Hicks contractions from as early as 16 weeks (Shepherd et al 2004:238). However, without you realising, your uterus has been contracting gently on and off since about seven weeks (Murray and Hassall 2009:191). The bigger your uterus gets, the more you notice the tightening sensations when they happen. What do Braxton Hicks contractions do? Braxton Hicks contractions may just be a sign that your uterus is keeping its muscle fibres toned. It could be that these contractions keep your uterus in good condition and ready for the rigours of labour. Some experts think the contractions also affect your cervix. In early labour, your cervix starts to get shorter and more stretchy (Walsh 2004:430), ready to dilate and make way for your baby. It's possible that Braxton Hicks contractions give your cervix a bit of a rehearsal for the stretching stage. Other experts think that Braxton Hicks contractions don't affect your cervix. They believe that your cervix doesn't change until the very last days of your pregnancy (Murray and Hassall 2009:192; Baker 2006:53), or once you're in labour itself (Cheng and Caughey 2009).
  19. I don't know... things are reeeaaaallly calm now... I don't think she's in a hurry! Yeah I've had Braxton Hicks before but I thought Braxton Hicks weren't suppose to be painful and not regular... last night my contractions were regular and were painful... but not that painful either... so I guess they weren't real! Pregnancy is SUCH a fascinating thing!!! It truly is a miracle and I still can't believe I have now a full grown /complete baby in my belly... and it all started with one tiny cell! yes that's the thing... my friend told me when she called the hospital to ask if it was time to come (here they ask you to call the hospital before going... that way they can ask you questions to help identify if it's real labor and get ready for you when you do come), they told her if it's real contractions, you can't talk during a contraction... I was able to.
  20. yeah... I guess we gotta let nature decide when it's time!
  21. May 11th, 2010 we had a false alarm during the night... I was having contractions every 10 minutes... so I decided to take a bath (they say that if you take a bath and the contractions continue and speed up and get more intense, then it's real labor, if not, they will slow down). My contractions got more intense in the bath and peeked at every 3 minutes... so we thought "this is it!" I ate something, my bf too, he got his things ready... I went to the living room and sat down... and the contractions started to slow down... It was the middle of the night so I was really tired... so I just sat there and the contractions slowly stopped and I fell asleep... I have to admit I'm a little disappointed I thought that was it and I would finally get to meet my little girl! And my poor bf didn't get much sleep and now has to work today... Oh well, better luck next time I guess!
