  1. I'm very sorry to read this  I can feel your pain as I missed out on many awesome opportunities over the last year.

There's always a next time! :huglove:

now, don't tell me you'd be at this gig, cause it'd make my mood sink even lower.. :tears: I've been wishing to see ya again at some gig, since brixton.

thanks, for your sympathy. :wub2: I am hopeless and got a tick to a summer gig this past week, to make up for this missed chance. :blush-anim-cl:

  2. sorry if this has been asked before..

I 'll get to the gig (if I manage at all, that is..) rather late, so I'd need to know a rapid way from stazione centrale to this place..

    any suggestion..?

this place is outside milano, I take. can anyone recommend a good hotel, but fairly priced..? or are there public trasports, after the gig, good enough, so one can get safely back to the city and stay in a hotel not far from stazione centrale, for leaving back in good time the morn after..?

    advices..?

    I really wanna come :tears:

  3.

    oh... god....

    :blush-anim-cl:

So much eye contact with everyone, lots of smiling, and the energy from everyone on stage last night, was beyond electric, in fact I think it could have powered the National Grid for a week, add to that the energy from the audience, that would be a month!!

    And everyting went right too!

He said it would be his last gig in London for quite some time, and that got a lot of sad "Awwwws", and he said it was great to be able to sing all the songs in a place like Hammersmith, which he had written in a garage just down the road, which got a big cheer. He seemed to be in a reflective mood last night. it was cool to see that side of him.

Silver brought her feather boa again last night, which we waved during Doctor John, and after I asked him if he saw it, to which he said yes, then I asked him if he liked it and it was okay, and he said, he did and it was it was, then I asked him if he thought I still needed help, to which he replied "always, but that's okay, because we all do." I love our little chats. LOL!!!

The queueing last night was a bit different due to the filming they were doing during the day, but it wasn't tense, quite the opposite, everyone seemed happier with their places, which proves it can work. And a lot of people didn't turn up til well after midday, and still got front row.

The M&G after was almost a complete nightmare! They didn't do the barriers like they did on Sunday, and people were just not doing as security asked, and getting in line after the barrier stopped!

Jazzy already mentioned the Japanese girls, but it wasn't just them, a few others tried to line across the pavement, instead of lining up down it. I tapped them on the shoulder and asked them to get in line like security asked, and to play fair to those behind them, which they did, but a few minutes later some others did it, and I asked them to get behind the others in front of them and stared them out til they did.

I felt bad for Caz, as the Japanese girls stopped her getting a signature, was really unfair, as it was for her friend!

In all though, it was a hell of a night, and one to go down in Mika history.

I truly agree about the eye contact thing... impressive :blush-anim-cl:

he defo must be sick of seeing us over and over, poor thing.. :roftl:

as for the M&G after the gigs.. usual story. he hardly could concentrate on anyone as people came from nowhere and jumped in front of other people from every direction. :boxed:

  4. Do the t-shirts shrink too? I haven't worn mine yet but I won't if it's going to shrink.

I have several tour tees, from past tours and washed them all a quantity of times. no problems with any of them. :thumb_yello: I hope nothing happens with this pretty and expensive hoodie

  5. I got the blue one but pre-warning to whoever buys one...

    ...They do shrink quite badly.

I bought a medium just incase it shrunk and it did.

i got a medium too and it's huge for me.. I'll try to wash with in cold water though,t hanks for the advice. :biggrin2:

I wasn't supposed to buy anything at the gigs: maybe a tour tee, as usual. instead i got stuff for 100 £.

    no comment. :mf_rosetinted:

and a purple hoodie.. :wub2:love it :teehee:

  6. got at the queue at 5pm (willing to come "late"). queued under some rain (but with umbrella :naughty:) and got in in a great position, 2nd row, near some lovely mfc'ers. :thumb_yello:

the admission from my part of the queue was lovely: no running, no pushing, very well organised. I still remember the brixton nitemare from 2007. :boxed:

anyway, the show was great and despite quite many things went wrong on stage (logistically), it was fun to watch. like robertina said, dr. john is special: always had a thing for this song and not only cause of the title.. :naughty:

too bad we didn't get loverboy and one foot boy, which I both love, but the rest of the set was great. and the new SITM version is just ...wow!! :wub2::teehee::biggrin2:

I adore mika's white jacket with vodoo mask on the back.

am truly impressed of how BG/LG can walk wearing those masks.. they look very umcomfy.

BTW, it was as good as usual to see everyone again.. :wub2: MFC'ers I mean.

oh, and it was not bad to see mika, andy, john and the band too.. :mf_rosetinted:

    :wub2:

  7. I'm going offline now!

    see you @ the Apollo!!

    hugs!

see in hammersmith, sarina and everyobdy else. :biggrin2:

god, we'll be so many.. london gigs are always an mfc event :biggrin2:

i'm getting excited about this.. :teehee: well, already was, but now it's the oh-god-tomorrow-I'm-leaving kind of excitement :naughty:

see ya in london town, mfc'ers and big M! :thumb_yello:

  8. @Avoca: yes , of course, another strike in France , some flights have been cancelled, i was crazy, it would be end on Saturday.....

I'll do like Mellody and you: impossible for me to be front row, , if you say that the last time you came in at 6 and was at the 10th row , it's not so bad?:thumb_yello:

yes it was not bad at all. and hammersmith is slope. so it's all good. I hope I find some mfc'ers to hang out with, watch the concert together even if not front row. that's be grand. :thumb_yello:

  9.:lg: luv mika an all his music... just went 2 see him in concert & he is brill!!!!!!!!!

lol how cute it is. just one post and this ooooolld thread of mine (probably my first here, or so) was dug up.. the wonders of mfc.. made me smile :biggrin2::blush-anim-cl:

  10. Well, i land at 11 on Sunday and try to be at the venue asap, 14h for example.

i hope that the Airport strike will have ended, that it won't snow at Lyon and finally , that the London tube will work.

above all: that i won't loose myself and find Hammersmith....:aah:

most of the tube lines are closed, hammersmith is quite easy to reach (one of the few lines actually working), i cross my fingers for snow.. strike.. what strike..? you mean in france?

will post pix tomorrow, or after london. :wink2:

afternoon sounds fine with me... guess i'll hang around the venue from noon on, coming and leaving if the weather is too cold/rainy, as i can't be bothered to queue all day because i won't go for front row anyway with my huge gray skelly hat. i'll have to wait for lillibet anyway, because of the presents - and tiibet has something too, iirc (but knowing her, i think she'll be there early :teehee:) so i'd say we'll give the stuff to john at the latest around 5-6 when he comes out to search for BGs/LGs.

so avoca, as for the time, it'll be as soon as a) lillibet is there and b) john comes out - but of course we don't know when exactly he'll come out. :wink2:

oh, 5-6pm sound great! that's both for sunday or monday. I'm fine with both and I'm not going for front row either. :wink2: I won't get there on time anyway and on monday i wanna enjoy a little of london. see ya there! :biggrin2:

  11. I'm sorry, I'm just checking the tube to reach Hammersmith from Victoria on 28th and I see there are several Hammersmith stops in the search.

Which is the tube one (dis&picc line underground of the District line)?

Also, does anyone know which bus will travel after the gig from Hammersmith to Victoria?

    Thanks

should be hammersmith district and piccadilly lines underground station option.

  12. Sarina, my hotel is near Victoria Station , so i'll take the tube, i hope at 14h.

if you want to wait for me we could travel together, pm me if interested.

do you already have your Oyster card or do you buy a ticket for every journey?

and for the return, i hope that we'll have the last tube or a bus ?:thumb_yello:

last time tube was closed already, but the nigth bus runs all the time, so it shouldn't be any problem.

  13. the floor of the venue is sloped, so generally you should be able to see from the back of the standing area - but of course it always depends on how tall you are and how tall the person who is standing in front of you is. :wink2:

i haven't seen any gigs at this venue from the back though, so i can't give you first hand information, only my evaluation from what i know. :wink2: i'd personally go for standing in any case, because to me it's important to be able to dance and move, i just can't stay sitting in a chair at a mika gig. :bleh: but i'm also rather tall, if i was 10 cm shorter i might think differently. :dunno:

in hammersmith last time I got there at the end of the opening act's performance, so I was like 10th row or more. and I could see mika perfectly, even better because of the slope.
