    Maybe we could take pics of the "book" and the gifts ?

    anyway, Avoca, you'll be there and all those who are a part of the project : We could try to give it to him on the afternoon?

    Because after the show he is taking care of Mika, fighting against crazy fans.. and is not very free .:mf_rosetinted:

     

    it's fine by me. I'd just like to know more or less around when, cause I'd like to be there. :thumb_yello:

    more messages coming in now from people who didn't have enough time the first time round but have made it or will be able to make it this time - perfect! :thumb_yello: thanx to everyone who has already sent their messages! i'm sure john will be happy about this present. :wub2:

     

    was wondering how it turned out.. do you have pics? files saved on pc that you can share..?

     

    do you plan to give john in the afternoon or in the eve after the gig?

     

    I'd like to be there too.

    You should make the most of your time there. London is such a beautiful city. Dont know about next weekend but the weather until Thursday is what you usually get in London a bit of rain etc.

     

    as long as it doesn't pour down, it's fine by me. hammersmith is not that shaded if it rains a lot.. :boxed:

     

    plus it's been raining a HELL lot here, so everything is better than this. :boxed:

     

    I do ADORE london and half of the pleasure of this trip is mika (and the mfc'ers) and half is london. :biggrin2: I do plan to go and visit my "old faves" and sink in the atmosphere :wub2:

    hyde park has many squirrels too. we should be able to chase them there too:roftl::roftl:

    I plan some london-time as well as queueing: I am going to enjoy my time there.

    Hi Avoca!

     

    I hope to see you again :biggrin2:. I have a question: when we met at Parc Des Princes, we were wearing light clothes. Now,at Hammersmith in this very cold weather, we will be wearing heavy clothes. Is there a cloakroom where we may leave the coats or do we have to keep them with us during the gig :blink:?

    last time I was in hammersmith, I used the theatre cloackroom, it's on the left when you enter the hall. I think it costed a few pounds, but it's much more practical. last time I dropped there also my suitcase as I was coming directly from the airport. :biggrin2:

    I KNOW I'm gonna be in the back of beyond for this and esp. for the previous one.. :boxed:

     

    arriving on sunday early afternoon and I'd like to leave my trolley at hotel, not to end up like my last gig at hammersmith, where I arrived in travelling clothes, with my suitcase and all, when the opening act was already over! :blink:

     

    all I care about is to see decently mika and enjoy the concert in a quiet spot, possibly with some mfc'ers not far from me, as it's always funnier when we share the enthusiasm :biggrin2:

     

    as for monday (this gig, in fact), I may start queueing about the same time. only two days in london, which I truly adore, and not a chance in the world to make it front row anyway, since people's probably starting to queue in the night, which I'm not prepared to do. I'm getting too old for this queueing thing.. :teehee:

    defo biiig misunderstanding: hopeless at sewing. I said maybe I can present you with some models, some ideas of voodoo dolls, but it's not even sure as you all seem much more skilled in this whole voodoo dolls thing :biggrin2:

     

    soo, go ahead with your possible project of a felter doll. :thumb_yello:

     

    mine was mostly a joke about a MFC vodoo dolls, since he's :naughty:always been so kind with us and often, so we may be a good target for some curses

    so do you want to sew the doll then? :blink: alright with me too if you want to do that... i just recently bout some felt and stuffing wool for something else, so i thought i could use it for that as well. or did i understand you wrong? :blink: what models do you mean?

     

    you think we should put our faces on the doll? :naughty: hm, why not, maybe on the backside, could be done with print-out ironing foil ... but i don't want my face on the dolls' buttocks please! :lmao:

    or we make a "group picture" so small that it fits on the head/face of the doll, but not sure if it's recognizable anymore then. :dunno:

    thx for the all the info, mellody. notes to self to remember rereading this as the gig comes closer.. :naughty:

     

    got flight and tick for this but no hotel yet. anyone can recommend anything..? :blink: hotel, not hostel pls. :thumb_yello:

     

     

    just click on the flag on the top right to get it in english. :wink2: here's the direct link: http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/home/index.html the station you'll need for Zenith is FREIMANN - from the city centre that's U6 in the direction of Garching-Forschungszentrum (or some trains only go until Garching-Hochbrück, they're ok too).

     

    so if you wanna go from the airport to the zenith, i'd recommend you take the S8 to Marienplatz, there change to U6 (direction Garching-Forschungszentrum) to Freimann. there are other possibilities that include buses etc., but that's the one i'd choose, and the easiest one. :wink2:

     

    about tickets, if you're going from the airport and need another ticket in the evening, the best would probably be a day card "Tageskarte Gesamtnetz" for 10 euro. you can use this from the time you stamp it until 6 am the following day. if you're 2 or more people, buy the "Partner-Tageskarte Gesamtnetz", it's the same like the other one, but valid for up to 5 people who are travelling together, cost is 18 euro. well, that's the cost for now, might change until march, you'll never know with the munich transport system! :sneaky2:

     

    if you're not going to/from the airport (e.g. if you're spending a few days here) but need just tickets in munich city, let me know, then i can give you options for that as well. :wink2:

     

    the underground (in this case U6) runs every 10 minutes during the day, in the late evening about every 20 minutes, and on saturdays until about 2 am, so there'll be no problem to get back to the city centre from the gig in the evening. :wink2:

    ok, uptodate now.

     

    I'll work out smt, but at the moment laptop's crashed, pc is ok but printer won't work and same goes for scanner, so basically I am stuck :biggrin2:

     

    will try and come up with smt decent, though my contribution to enconters with john during 2009 is really poor. now 2008 is totally another story, but I sense that's too old. :blink:

     

    nice idea about the vodoo doll: I think he may want to do an MFC doll, with our "familiar faces", bless him :naughty:

    not the best creativity when it comes to sew, but maybe I can find some models to present you with.. :wink2:
