  1. it works fine for me meanwhile... maybe it's some browser (security) settings? have you tried using a different browser?

Yeah I've tried everything :( Cleared cookies, changed security settings, all types of different browsers, my iphone. But I think it might have to do with my location, so I'm trying to change my proxy settings now (This is ridicilous). Will keep you updated via messages :thumb_yello:

  2. I am not crazy about Drunk for similar reasons that I love Make You Happy. I think it is really mean spirited (and MYH is the opposite). Maybe if it was aimed at a one night stand and not his bf it wouldn't bother me, but... I also think the chorus is silly/awkward. I like the bridge a lot though. It reminds me of Barenaked Ladies who are some of my favourite songwriters, although they did this idea better IMO with a song called Alcohol. "I love you more / Than I did the week before / I discovered alcohol" :teehee:

I am also not getting excited at the prospect of another Step with Me but I am glad to hear that Mika is actually thinking about writing songs instead of faffing around or having writers block. :aah:

It is sort of a cruel song :naughty: Will have to give that Barenaked Ladies song a listen. I only dislike Step With Me because it's about being in love and I'm unlucky in love and feel like vomiting whenever I hear a sweet and cheesy love song like that :naughty: Anyway, I'm also happy he's writing new music (just hope it's not 12 new Step With Mes lol). :)

  3. IMO T.O.O.L is absolutely amazing! (Sorry for yelling it out here lol) I think what it really lacked was the promotion and success it deserved. Mika hasn't lost his song writing skills but that's why I'd prefer him to spend more time by himself and just brainstorm song ideas, but I do hope he'll do something fresh with some middle eastern influences like Deb mentioned. I loved that Relax remix.

  4. I get why people on here are slightly biased when it comes to Mika, and I love him a lot, but to be honest, he is not perfect. I feel like Ariana gets blamed in this case for...well...singing with him and because it wasn't as good as it possibly could be, it's all about the 'circumstances.'

It's not about the circumstances. A professional performer always has to deliver. As Mika said himself, 'You're only as good as your last performance.'

I think, though, if they had more time to rehearse, it could have been much better as it would have been more teamwork and less '2 singers singing the same song at the same time.'

Their voices don't really go well together. She should probably be duetting like Mariah did with Whitney back in the day. Someone who's as good as her and has similar singing techniques. I think she outshined Mika in this performance because she's simply too talented at singing than he is. Didn't get the impression that he was letting her outshine him either, like some others have mentioned.

  5. Yes but honestly, he doesn't let anyone outshine him. Believe it or not, but sometimes others are just better during certain songs. I also prefer listening to him solo but I feel like saying he lets others outshine him doesn't do those other people justice. Sometimes they are just better than him.

To be honest, if you look at technique, Mika is not the best singer in the world. He has a very unique voice and I personally love it, but I can understand why others would think differently. But fact of the matter is, there are many singers who have better technique (such as Ida) and will excel in a mid-tempo duet, whereas this is not Mika's strenght so he will bite the dust.

This is exactly how I've always felt about his singing. I've also felt that he's kind of made up for it by being an absolutely incredible song writer. And I think we need more artists in the mainstream music industry like Mika. Artists who have unique voices and are able to write their own music.

  6. Ariana puts more effort into her singing than her dancing and performing (from what I've seen from her performances) so I guess if Mika had performed overly energetically like he usually would, it would look a little strange and off ( in a good way :naughty: )

As for his singing, I personally think Ariana's a better singer than him, but what I've always loved about Mika's voice is that he has a lot of personality in his singing techniques so he's great too imo. Anyway, I don't know where I'm going with this lol

  7. Thanks a lot LaraMay :huglove::thumb_yello:

But for some reason it doesn't work for me , gets me to a broken link

Strange hmmmm Did you write the captcha in the box properly?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Is it OK if I upload it on MIKA Serbia facebook page? I wonder is it going to be banned... :nervous::rolls_eyes:

Sure you can, hopefully it'll stay up there :)

  8. Exactly.. I think some of these people are looking for an easy way up but it's not the case.

Did you ever watch The Voice? I find it the cruelest... When someone sings and no one turns around.

My friends love these shows and yes I've seen a bit of the Voice but not much. I think I remember seeing something like that. :( But it's good that they can't judge them after their appearance I guess :)

  9. While I understand what you say, I advise you to watch the entire episode... Tiny clips don't give you a full picture.

Did you see the guy singing Foo fighters? Because instead of crashing his hopes, they (and especially Mika) saw potential and made him go through

I agree that sometimes they do give potential artists more chances but what about all the others who are rejected? I just feel terrible for all those people on all of these shows. As someone who has been struggling to become better at singing and playing instruments I know how quickly you can learn to be better and I'm appreciative that I always had people like my music teachers who always told me that if I kept practising I would get better, so I guess I just feel a lot of empathy for these people who are mocked and told they're not good enough on television for everyone to see. But I guess they shouldn't go on these shows in the first place if all they're looking for is fame hmmm...
