  1. This is precious, KiteKat, thank you!

I was already wondering if that woman exists at all or maybe disappeared somewhere in the abysmal depths of the tundra.

But I have to admit she looks really fearsome

    :lmfao:

    and the foxtail.... :mf_rosetinted:

    the woman does exist :)

been wanting to put a short bio-note ab her for ages, together with some pics, cos all those comments about "evil teacher" are just.....however I didnt think it wld be quite right to put stuff online - since she wasnt "out" in the press before...

she is a professional, taught by Dorliak (think Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Richter...if that makes any sence....)

and the fox tail :naughty: (quite touchy - as a child I used to play with my moms fur hat - a red fox one - pretending it to be my pet :roftl: )

  2. They fly helicopters to see her?

that is the exact translation of the russian sentence (someone flies in to see her) - dunno whats behind that - maybe smth wld have been clearer in the article....but - no full article now...just some usual journalist exaggerration imo...

  3. (P.S. Re: "evil teacher and blah-blah..." - even though he mentions jokingly - just my humble opinion -

    - the teachers do tend to keep some of their pupils' creations......however a conservatory professor and a renowned successfull opera professional would not just keep some tape of a n y random 10 year old pupil...

She s a w, and she taught and helped with whatever she could to develop his G-d sent gift - even switched from piano to singing after learning about his reading problem - unlike some of his expensive school teachers that just bullied or ignored ... )

...sorry for this "cry for justice" :biggrin2: but I think she deserves some credits too :)

  4. Recently came across this one - from the russian online magazine -

a brief announcement about forthcoming article on M and an interview with Alla - his singing teacher....

..Meant to be a "teaser" for the concert (that is not going to happen. so is the full article :) )

    TRANSLATION:

....3 octaves of range is not a joke, no matter how (seemingly! -K.) unserious the texts of the songs are. Our magazine has found the Russian teacher, who has discerned the new Robertino Loretti and taught future pop star special singing techniques and secret breathing excersises, based on old tomes from Italian musical conservatory libraries.

Alla Mikhailovna Ablaberdyeva - the Moscow Musical Conservatory graduate, a classic soprano, taught Mika Schubert's "trout" and songs of Yves Montand - she still keeps an old recording of "Les Feuilles Mortes",

sung by her 10 year old educatee. Apart from that, it has turned out that as a child Mika has been a deferent listener of concerts that Konstantin - Alla's son and academic pianist has been playing. Also (what a precious bit of info! :biggrin2: -K.) young Mika liked to play with a piece of fox tail.

It has also turned out that Mika's sister Yasmin, the one behind album art, is not only a keen painter, but masters Chinese perfectly and is endued with incredible beauty - admirers fly helicopters just to see her.

More details-in the next issue of the magazine.

plus he is listed as a special guest for the clubs B-day...

plus I heard talks from some sources that Mika-russia thingie has been negotiated since summer...

(dunno yet...however....will keep fingers crossed for myself too....)

Just because i'm nice, here is the translation :

And honestly, i wouldn't take anything for granted from this magazine... i posted it just because it made me remember the good old "we don't care" times

    1.Thanks for posting! And translating:biggrin2:

and generally it is always great to see Yop popping out all of a sudden :punk:

btw I cant see the article either...

    2. as for "the question" - think he has been just outblinging Travolta as usual :fisch:.... (good ol' reliable technique to switch from unwanted questions) ....I can quite see puppy eyes wide opened, straight look into opponents eyes : "Yes, I just need to flirt with everyone - boys, girls, trees......but within 2 hrs I have to return them to whoever they belong to..."

and yes, I just think that was "flirt" rather then "seduce" - kinda all things fall into places then....plus it is well known he tends to multiply repeat the passages he finds witty or successfull.... not a French expert myself, but its just very likely he has mixed up with nuances and used "seduce" instd of "flirt" - common thing when one switches between langs quickly....so Id rather think it was meant to be flirting with trees quote

    3. however - "who cares" :mf_rosetinted:

(and on a serious side - he is 24 and works incredibly hard....so just have to hope they wont bother him with some stupid questions too much....and that he finds time for experiences and "decision" making - whenever he feels like it )

    *caffeine injection finished....off to RL*

  7. Ok qualify first, then make sure you come, I am going to be dangerous with the new camera hehe.:naughty:

:roftl: y know, so funny - just made me think of - my dad has miles and miles of floors and pavements videos from all over the world :naughty: he just forgets to switch the camera off :roftl: and then we have to watch and guess - where this one is from ....(whos A*se is that, hehe)

  8. So even though I am not a real fan, I cursed Mika when he didn't turn up at the Big Chill and when he didn't show his face after the Bush, I have had a pretty funny year so far, met loads of great people, too many to mention, but you know who you are (I hope :naughty:)

And of course virtually met a lot more on MFC and hope to meet more in RL this month and next month.

I have learned how to rip and upload and lord knows what else, so, I don't know if I can say it..... oh OK

    THANKS MIKA!

I wouldn't have done any of this without you!

PS, be afraid, be very afraid, I have now got a new camera, and I'm not afraid to use it!:mf_rosetinted:

:biggrin2: It's actually amazing that he is responsible for so much of what everyone has experienced this year. And it's not just some cosmic accident that people just happened to meet at gigs or on the internet. I think Mika and his music have attracted an extraordinary group of people and he's really got something special to inspire us all to bond together, get dressed up, fly to other countries, meet one another, etc.

Thanks for sharing your pics and memories. :wub2:

    Babs, the album is fantastic!:biggrin2:

and couldnt agree more with the quotes....
