  1. I saw Def Leppard when they were on the Yeah! tour with Journey... They are amazing, both of them. Journey had surprising energy and their singer is hilarious- I really wasn't expecting it when I saw them though of any concert I've ever seen in my life, I'd have to say the Queen + Paul Rodgers one took the cake absolutely. Even without Freddie, the mixing of the styles of Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Paul Rodgers was just outright awesome in my opinion... I'm sure diehard Mercury fans might disagree and say it's not still Queen without him, but, all of them are true musicians and performers in their own right. Actually, at the Def Leppard concert, the last track they played through the P.A. system before they took the stage was We Will Rock You, and you just knew they were about start playing and everyone in the arena was just singing, clapping, and stomping to the Queen song. It was great.
  2. New thought! I have obtained tickets to the Styx/Foreigner/Def Leppard concert coming up in August. WHEE! I'm so excited! Though I don't know if it makes up for me having to miss Mika on the seventeenth. That's still a very sore spot.
  3. My thoughts... It's late, I've got blue paint on my hands and my nose from absently scratching it while having wet paint on my hand. Dreamweaver is playing on the radio right now... My hair is caught on the chair again and I don't feel like trying to untangle it right now. Yesterday, I was talking to someone and she happened to say "Man, I'm lovin' today" and I had to fight so hard to not start singing "Everybody's gonna love today, gonna love today- anyway you want to, anyway you've got to..." As to the forum, well. I too, have never been part of a fandom type thing before and it's so... nice. It just is. I wonder whether I'm just a fan of Mika or a fan of the fans of Mika as well. I'm rarely concerned that people here will laugh at me or not get something odd I say- it's like so many things, opinions and emotions that a lot of people just don't comprehend are often understood and sympathized with here. It's so bizarre to me.
  4. Kiwi and Magickitten are working on it, but no, it hasn't been posted yet.
  5. ... I rather think that the picture is deliberately a bit strange. His feet (or foot as the case may be) looked perfectly normal and just fine in the Radio 1 semi-interview thing that's on Youtube and also posted on Mika's myspace. As far as feet themselves, I am neither for or against them. I pay much more attention to a person's face than anything else.
  6. I had a dream yesterday night where I was driving with one of my brothers and listening to the radio, and they were announcing that they were having a contest for four front row tickets and backstage passes to the upcoming concert in Miami. The question was, "How many siblings does Mika have?" and you had the be the fifth caller-in. I snatched my cellphone out of my purse, called in, and won and most of the dream thereafter was based around preparing to go to Miami... And just as I got to the concert and it was about to start... I, of course, woke up. And I just laid there for about a minute, wondering what was going on because the dream was so real to me, it had such fine detail- then coherent thought set in and I realized it really was a dream and I was not, in fact, going to be able to go to the concert in Miami. If only I could've stayed asleep a bit longer. And there you have it; my first Mika-related dream. I really wish he'd make one more stop in Florida than this one.
  7. Live on Happy Endings Circle. Be my neighbor!
  8. So does that mean the list is all finished and wrapped up for the time being?
  9. Nope, we don't have a shoe store. MikaDiva, however, has a recording studio in it.
  10. Essentially' date=' 1kiwiabroad and Kavi said to each other one day, "Gee, wouldn't it be great if there was a village to live in dedicated to Mika?" And so the Mikaville topic was born as a discussion of what kind of place Mikaville would be, how much of a beautiful place it was, and then turned into, "Let's design it!" So now, we're all naming shops, picking places we'd live in, designing our would-be homes and putting them in the Mikaville Art thread and somewhere along the line I came by and decided to help out by keeping a record of ideas so that Magickitten and Kavi could actually draw the village [b']map[/b] and maybe have it presented to Mika himself. Would you like to be a fellow resident? Everyone is welcome if they have a reason to move to Mikaville.
  11. Well, I suppose a second opinion couldn't hurt...
  12. Good morning, Kavi. That is, if it's morning there like it is here. And yay, we have our preacher joining the village!
  13. Chew-Chew Lunatic Asylum for Outrageously Mika-obsessed people is now established on the list, because I think outrageous obsession is more of a symptom of Chew-Chew Syndrome, named for how the monkey of infamy consistently stalks the lollipop girl. Now, who did you say was staff and... can I work there, too?
  14. Ah, well, I didn't read that thread, so it explains why I don't get it- I'm such a dummy sometimes. So, what name do you want?
  15. Oh no, leave it. I am the psycho therapist of Mikaville... I was just curious if Eir was asking me about the titles for the asylum because of that, or because I'm the record keeper for the village plans, because if it's because I keep track of the list, she can feel free to name the asylum whatever she likes as it is her idea.
  16. At the time you posted, it was seven PM, and I was at my dojo (ah, it was so much fun tonight- I love the instinct drills we worked with tonight) I'm East Coaster time. Right now it's 9:40 and I should be around for a few hours more.
  17. I'm not sure if you're asking which I prefer because you want me to approve it to the list or because I'm the supposed psycho therapist. If it's just to have put on the list, then whichever you like, it's up to you. If it because I have something to do with it, then I'd prefer to omit the pervert part.
  18. Time to update the fantabulous, opulent list of loveliMikatasticness in this thread, too, so both the residents and planning threads are all on the same wavelength. I'm going to ask here, too, to refrain from adding new street names unless it's something that would completely break your heart not to have. Please forgive me if that sounds a little rude or demanding. 19. Okay. I am home, at long last, though I'm going to my dojo pretty soon- I finally caught up on both threads. Now, I do have one request (I really hope I don't sound rude asking for this) and that is that all new Mikaville residents hold back on some new street names for now, unless it's an absolutely to die for, cannot live without, totally Mikaville name. Having said that, I proceed with my shiny new updated fantabulous, opulent list of loveliMikatasticness. Street names discussed in both the Planning and Residential threads: Love Love Lane Lollipop Lane Big Girl Lane Chew-Chew Avenue Grace Kelly Avenue Happy Endings Circle Billy Brown Boulevard Kerchinga Close (Street?) 20. I'm out for the night myself. Sweet dreams, Mikavillians.
  21. ... Somehow, I find that more than a little disturbing in that context- not necessarily in a bad way, though.
  22. Your dad sounds pretty neat, for one thing. But what about the First Church of Saint Holy Johnny? Hubbly-Bubbly for the hospital, I have no qualms with. And I'll have to think about the dump...
  23. By the way, GraceKelly, were you the one who wanted the teddy bear shop? I keep thinking it's you... if it is, what would you like to call it?
  24. it's Eir's shop, so you'll have to talk to her about being her business partner. She'd like to call it MikaArt For Fun, but maybe you can talk her into DaWack (which I kind of like myself, not just because it's Yasmine's penname) And I guess the French Fry Shack is now Dangerous Obsession, home of the deep fried starchy food. Yum. And in accordance to what we have now and two new recent suggestions, there are three possible titles for the Bakery: 1. Homemade Sugar Pie 2. Délices du Liban, which translates into Delights of Lebanon 3. Sweet Treats Which do you guys like best?
